The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself was well kept. The breakfast was especially impressive. In addition to the usual breakfast items, they had someone making fresh omelets to order, along with sausage, bacon, pancakes, waffles, and a full breakfast bar. It was much better than the typical hotel breakfast and a great way to start the day. The staff was wonderful, especially Gina at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and welcoming when we arrived in the evening and made sure everything was taken care of for our stay. All around, a great place to stay and an easy recommendation if you're in Chehalis.

This year we booked it through Expedia, and never touched the reservation. After biking 110 miles, the dead eyed clerk told us "someone" canceled our reservation in April. Who? She couldn't tell us who. Just "someone". Our Expedia reservation showed active, and she couldn't explain why. No explanation, no help, just "we have no rooms". Remember that game you used to play when you were young? The one where the ground is hot lava? That's how we moved in our room unless we had shoes on. Except even all of the "safe zones", like the bed and chair, were equally terrifying. I just hope that the sheets and towels were clean since we had no choice but to use them. Stay across the street at one of the other hotels. If they're full, stay in another city and drive a little further. Trust me it's not worth it. Take a look at my pics if you don't believe me. These pictures are ones that I took this morning of the bathtub in my room at the Chehalis Inn in Chehalis, WA. The tub & shower stall were grossly filthy. The entire bottom & sides of the tub are literally gray from not having been properly cleaned in a very long time. It was not a stain, as I wiped a spot with a wash cloth and it rubbed off onto the cloth. Also, you know that pink slimey gunk that will grow around a tub from lack of proper cleaning? It was in several areas of the tub. The drain, the plug knob and the shower head were black with filth and what looked like mold. There was hair still on the shower wall from the previous occupants and mold growing in the ceiling corner which he said was a water stain. The reason I am posting this is because the management refused to acknowledge that there was a problem, even after seeing the pictures I took. He was rude and not helpful ... basically denying the complaint. He stated that the red slime could be from someone dying their hair. Really ?? And even if it was ... shouldn't it be cleaned either way? Two nights had been pre-paid so I asked that last night be refunded and the bathtub/shower be properly cleaned for the second night or a full refund for both nights and we would stay somewhere else. He rudely refused. I asked to speak to someone higher up from him ... he refused and said "and don't ask for a name because I wont tell you" !! I said I will find it out and his response was Good Luck !! After much debate Kevin finally agreed to only a $10 per night refund. I was so disturbed by the lack of professional customer service and courtesy that I stepped out of the office and had a friend deal with it, in which he agreed to the discount offer. We left for several hrs and honestly expected that it would have been properly cleaned ... but it was not.
