I have nothing but good things to say about Relax Massage. Tucked away in a strip mall on Ford Road between Middlebelt and Henry Ruff, they are pretty conveniently located. They take walk ins and I have never had to wait to be serviced. There is a wide array of services from a 15 minute chair massage, to reflexology, full body and even a couples massage option. There is always some sort of special going on including the current $10 off when you check in on Yelp! One of the best deals is the one hour full body massage. This is hard to beat. I usually go when I have a shoulder or back spasm going on and no matter how stubborn it is, these ladies always manage to work it right out. I had a 90-minute massage here and the service itself was fine, but I had an uncomfortable experience when it came time to pay. I clearly authorized a $10 tip on my card. The staff member tried to push me to increase it to $15-$20, and when I declined, my card was still charged $13 without my consent. That is not okay. 0-10 experience, i went recently with a friend was looking forward to this massage and it was the worst experience ive had with a masseuse, she stuck too my shoulders and was "removing a knot" when it was just my bone she was repeatedly pushing on in the same direction, she would stop too chat with her co worker and start to massage me with one hand. like what kind or failing shitty business is this. i had told her multiple times to do something else bc this was really painful and everything else she continued to do was just brutally awful (and everytime i would have a suggestion she would like push harder and hurt me even more) ,. i eventually got up mid massage and told her that im all set and that it was really unenjoyable my back is all knotted up and feels like shit now. my forearm and chest have been cramping since i left i'm not sure if that's correlated but it sounds relevant enough to bring up. and finally to top off this already mid experience, when it's time too pay and i sent the money the boss asked me why i didn't tip, i told him the massage was not good and it hurt more then it felt good and he didn't he even appoligize on behalf of his workers or anything idk, maybe if was just my experience with the lady i had bc my friend claimed hers was great! I came here for a much needed massage and I did not leave disappointed. I walked in carrying so much pain in my lower back and walked out healed. I asked for a deep tissue massage. The woman who gave me the massage knew exactly where my pain was without me even going into deapth about it. She used her various massage techniques from applying heat to my back with stone and massaging pressure points. I don't even know what to say about how great this women is because she didn't treat me as just a one hour massage but rather as a human being who was in pain and needed help. Every time I get one I'm reminded that I must do this more often. Two days ago was my third visit to Relax massage and it was a pleasant one. Had my first not-so-great experience here. For the price ($55/hour) it still can't be beat. Normally I would say the they undercharged for the outstanding deep tissue quality. Last experience was not the case. Lack of consistent pressure. Therapist left room multiple times. Paid for 90 minutes but was done closer to just past the hour mark. I didn't complain. This place offers massages a a great price. They accommodate lots of walk-ins. The female masseuses do get on the table to use their elbows or knees, which I like because it gives a deeper massage. Massages often get interrupted by your masseuse needing to talk with a walk in or answer the phone, but I just can't argue with the price and since I need a massage regularly price overshadows professionalism. I had a horrible experience. I received a text from the owner to confirm the appointment that was booked online with the code 10off so it took the cart to $45. He proceeded to tell me that it was wrong and that it would be $55. He then called and said that he would give it to me for $50 in which I agreed againt my better judgement. I got there and the receptionist was also the masseuse. She had to constantly leave out to answer the phone and the door. Although she was very nice, I was constantly telling her that she was massaging me too hard on my back.
