If you make an appointment online and provide all your information, you receive a text about 30 minutes to tell you to check in when you get there. It allows you to check in about 5 minutes before your appointment. If you have a 10:00am appt and show up at 8:00 am, you're going to end up on the waitlist OR you'll be able to check in at 9:55am. They know how many appointments they can handle and the first time we were there, someone came out and told the waiting room that they could not take any more walk ins. My veins are horrible and I can only have draws on one side. I was a little worried, but the tech was very patient and found the perfect spot. She got what she needed and had perfect blood flow without having to stick me more than once. My appointment was at 8 am, I was home by 8:19am. I was taken in at 8:02 am. No place is perfect, but I will definitely do my blood work there when necessary.

She asked who my doctor was and I told her and she said she had nothing and just stared at me. I said your company contacted me so you must know I have work to be done. She said "nope'. I said I have never had to bring any paperwork or do anything but show up. She didn't reply. She just looked at me uninterested. I said you don't have much to say do you? No help or anything. She just looked at me with a nasty look and said nothing. I called my wife after and she said the same lady did it to her and our son a few months ago. She is an absolute PIG of a human and I'm quite sure this isn't your first complaint about her! She NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY! I WILL TELL EVERYONE IN MY COMPANY TO NEVER USE LABCORP! I showed up for an appointment yesterday that I had made 2 weeks ago. The greeting at the front desk was "you're late". I apologized for being 5 minutes late but I was told I was 35 minutes late. The email that I had received from their scheduling department was for 2:30 but according to what they had in the system, I was supposed to be there at 2. Before I could show the girl at the front desk my email with my appointment time, she got up and walked away and got on her cell phone. She came back a couple minutes later and said she was sorry that they would have to reschedule me. I was scheduled at 2:30 at the Weston location to get contrast for my CT arthrogram scan that would be 30 minutes later at another location 5 miles away. She told me the tech left at 4 and wouldn't be able to stay an extra 30 minutes to do my scan. I kindly explained that I had not only taken half a day from work and lost pay, driven an hour and 30 minutes from Homestead, and was on a regimen of medication that was prescribed to me in order to facilitate the scan since I have an allergy to iodine (which the meds were giving me horrible side effects as it was) which made the situation that much worse for me. I was given the wrong appointment time by their scheduling department and they didn't want to fix the problem? That doesn't seem right to me. The stress of knowing for 2 weeks that I was going to be injected with something that could potentially put me into anaphylactic shock, the terrible side effects of the meds I was experiencing, the hour and thirty minute drive there, the loss of wages from taking time from work, the loss of wages from my wife taking time from work to be with me in case I had any allergic reaction, was not enough to remedy the situation. The solution, "sorry, you'll have to reschedule". I walked out extremely upset and received a phone call 2 minutes later from the diagnostic center where the scan was supposed to be done. I explained the situation and the girl told me " hang on, give me a couple minutes and let me see if there is anything I can do". I waited in my car for an hour for a phone call resolving the issue and never received one. Then I drove back in almost 2 hours of traffic with no scan and no resolution. What low quality service. There was no resolution for my issue or anything even offered or anyone to even talk to. Akumin should be ashamed at how they treated this situation and treated me as a patient who is paying for a service. I know they don't care and nothing will be done, but I wanted to share my experience with the community. I will be posting this everywhere including all social media outlets, and I will post this review on all platforms and file a complaint with the BBB, as well as write a formal complaint to my health insurance company. The fabric of our society has been compromised by poorly run businesses and people who simply don't care. It is sad to see how Akumin handled this situation and I hope they don't treat other people the way I was treated. When a company can't take ownership for something they messed up on and they make the patient suffer and waste their time and hard earned money shows that they do not have their priorities in order. How absolutely embarrassing.

Receptionist was rude and said "I need to know why you're here". No greeting or anything. He was also talking softly and with our masks and the barrier it was hard to hear. I began to tell him my symptoms, also adding that my ears have been leaking clear, watery fluid with exponential wax build up. Before even checking me, he begins to downplay my symptoms. He was looking at my records and saw most were from out of state since I just moved here. He asks how long I've been here and if I've "experienced Florida weather" before and that abnormal things every now and then are normal...... Right...ok. "It's a Florida thing" After he checks me out, he immediately backtracks and says that I need antibiotics and I have an ear infection. No duh. He would also pose statements as questions, like having enlarged lymph nodes, insinuating if they were normal or not. As a healthy young female...should probably assume no. So many times I had to say "Do I?" because the whole reason I'm here is for the Dr. to make an assessment of the symptoms, not play guessing games. I understand it's his first time seeing me, but still. Some things like post nasal drips are not normal. Anyways, I'd probably check out a different urgent care with a Dr. that cares more. I know they all suck anyway but I at least need a Dr. that cares.

I picked up my equipment, dropped it off at the emergency room, and got the results via email, but they were vague. I wasn't happy about that.
