We ended up upgrading part of the system when the installer was here, but we had to ask for it rather than it being pushed on us. Refreshing to say the least. These people installed a home security system in 2013 and for more than 5 years I used Brinks/Monitronics (Installer's Only Option) monitoring service for my home security system. Forty-five days prior to my contract expiration date I started to give them the required 30 days cancellation notice, all to no avail. I spent hours on telephone hold, emails weren't unanswered, text messages wouldn't go through, live chat didn't work, and communicating through their website didn't work either. Finally, I stopped paying their monthly bill. Nine months later they finally acknowledged that they were terminating their monitoring service and they turned the account over to a collection agency, trying to collect $248.00. I sent the collection agency copies of my emails and other attempts to terminate their service and they agreed that I had done more than enough to satisfy the contract. Still, I had to pay Brinks $125.00 to keep from going to court, in which my attorney said I would probably prevail but I'd still have attorney fees. DO NOT USE BRINKS FOR YOUR MONITORING SERVICE THEY WILL NEVER LET YOU CANCEL. read more

The installation was scheduled within 1 week, and Adam came out to do the install. He was flawless. He was extremely careful in my home, courteous and professional. He explained everything he was doing, and we also did a thorough walk through of the house and discussed my expectations and requirements for home security. After the sensors, motion detectors, etc. were installed, he then spent quality time with me educating me on the main key pad, as well as setting up my computer and iPhone with access. Approximately 8 months ago we began an exhaustive evaluation of alarm service providers and installers. After much due diligence and comparison of various programs, equipment, and services, we elected to have our installation performed by Reliable Home Security. This selection was based on two primary factors: cost and the quality and professionalism of the employees. Reliable Home Security, while offering state of the art equipment, offered a huge cost advantage. Their package of equipment was larger and offered at a much more competitive price. Additionally, because equipment is nearly identical from all vendors, it is truly the size and scope of the equipment package that you should consider. Our package is a Honeywell wireless system with touchpad alarm center. Since its installation 8 months ago, it has worked flawlessly. More important than money, however was the professionalism and quality of the employees. After having requested quotes from nearly a half-dozen other alram companies (including all of the national-majors), I had become sadly accustomed to the "scare tactics" that their sales agents employ. When I wasn't willing to commit to a contract with these other companies, I was told quite directly that I didn't value my family, and that I was putting them in harms way. Those tactics were disgusting, disgraceful, and ensured that I would never purchase an alarm from those unscrupulous companies. After these experiences, I expected that Reliable Home Security would be no different. I was exceptionally surprised. The sales agent took the time to understand my situation (reason for the alarm, equipment needs, etc) and never once adopted high pressure sales tactics in an attempt to convince me that I needed more equipment or services. He was respectful, considerate, and seemed genuinely interested in helping me obtain the equipment and services that best fit my circumstances. From that point forward, everything has gone exceedingly well. From installation (it's a breeze), to contract completion, to formal activation, I have been very impressed. As you can see, this length and passion with which I write this review is indicative of the value I assign to Reliable Home Security. I also researched a lot of other home security companies but, Reliable proved to offer the best quality for the best price. I agree with the comments that my initial purchase and installation was great, however the customer service after the fact has been terrible! We had our alam go off twice by accident and there was never a follow up call on the false alarms. Also, I had questions regarding the terms of my contract and couldn't get anyone in the office the answer them. I spoke with several employees and after several calls and messages, finally got an answer. The company is very 2 bit, very unprofessional. Competitive equipment pricing, similar to ADT. Expert installation went very smoothly and the alarm works great. Couple of issues: there is no remote access for health emergencies - you have to reach the keypad which renders this feature useless in a true emergency. I just put in a security system with Reliable Home Security. I have so far had the best experience with the system. I'm happy with the way it turned out. The system is working 100% of the time and we have had no issues. The reoccurring monthly charges are cheaper compared to other companies. Matt was great as the sales representative and Colin was our tech. They were both courteous and knowledgeable in their fields. My brother just recently bought a house in Las Vegas. I tried to refer my brother to them but unfortunately they only do business locally for now. As a previous customer of ADT we are thrilled with our new home security system installed by Reliable Home Security. We purchased the house (new construction) in 2006 with an installed security system. After two years we switched to ADT. The ADT salesman said that our current monitoring equipment (Honeywell) would not work with ADT and presented me with an estimate for over $800 in new equipment. When I questioned him and showed him online that ADT sells/uses Honeywell equipment he backtracked and said that he could use our current equipment. Once ADT gets into your house they just want your monthly monitoring fee. After three years we were called every other month by ADT stating that the wireless cell box in our house was not communicating and for $117 hour they could come out and look at it. The Honeywell equipment was old and outdated; not once did ADT offer to upgrade our system. With the new system and control panel installed by Reliable Home Security we have immediate access through a smart phone application and have the option of expanding the system to include the thermostat, interior/exterior lights, door locks, and smoke detectors/alarms. Reliable Home Security also stands behind their equipment, unlike its competitor. I am so glad that we switched from ADT, but sad that I didn't act sooner. The home security market is expanding to include new companies with state-of-the-art equipment. I would highly recommend Reliable Home Security and encourage you to take advantage of this company's online offers as they provide professional installation, system education and they stand behind their state-of-the-art equipment. I feel like my system is easy to use and the company is willing to help when I have a question. As opposed to their competition, their prices are reasonable and fair and they even included incentives for signing up.
