Late last year, I needed some repair work on my pool equipment. Randy removed a motor and replumbed part of the system for a direct vacuum sweeper instead of the Polaris I had been using. Those systems worked well for several months, although communication fell apart a few times; Randy skipped some weekly maintenance altogether a number of times and didn't tell me he wasn't coming until I reached out to him to ask him why he hadn't showed up. He never emptied the filter baskets when he "cleaned", but as long as he took care of the chemical balance, I didn't press the issue. Ten days ago, after a month of our system's running perfectly, with no fluctuations, he spent half an hour on site, and when he left, the pool was cloudy, the vacuum sweeper had stopped moving altogether, and the pressure was much higher than it should have been. When I asked him what he had done, he assured me that he hadn't changed, added, or moved anything, except the suction control, which he said he turned down a little even though we had great suction (his words). This "little" shift caused our pressure to jump, which can strain the motor, and which DID stop the sweeper. Luckily I noticed the issues and moved the settings back, but my pool has continued to have problems since then. I've now spent as much as I pay him each month trying to diagnose and reverse whatever he did, and this after he assured me that the sweeper was still moving when he left, though it was stock still right after he departed. To be clear, the system worked perfectly before his arrival and is still having issues ten days later. And when pressed for explanations on what he had done, he could not provide any definitive answer on why he made those changes or even what else he had done. His last day here, while I was troubleshooting, he actually told me that pool guys don't tell customers all the secrets. I hired him to do work I didn't want to do myself, but he broke my trust that day, especially after that wisecrack. If I ask a contractor a question about my property, I expect the truth. I can't trust someone who makes arbitrary changes with no communication or explanation thereof. There should be no secrets when it comes to YOUR pool and YOUR equipment. I always paid Randy promptly, and he never bothered me about money until after we parted ways. The day I told him I no longer needed his services, he assured me that he didn't need the money and just does this for something to do. However, he then hounded me for payment on a Sunday. I paid him immediately to be done with him, despite my unexpected expenses, because I keep my promises. I won't ever use him for anything again, and I would not recommend him to anyone for anything. read more

I wouldn't recommend this pool service, Randy is a rip off. He did keep our pool clean & sounds professional. However, he did a "warranty exchange" for my pool vacuum and installed one month with no problem. The next month he decides to charge $45 (under warranty) when he never mentioned before & even when he first installed it in my pool. Another reason I wouldn't recommend is because he said he would charge $100/per-month but every month we somehow ended up paying way over $100. We hired another pool guy, and without saying anything the new guy said he tried to sabotage my pool by changing the salt water/pool settings and heat. He made my gas bill go up by changing the settings. Let me not forget, he had our pool overflow on Easter (by turning a valve he had no business doing) & then claim it had a leak in it. We called the builders to check on our 2yr old pool, and there was no leak! Too many problems with this guy and was not satisfied with his business. All of these 5 star reviews must be fake! Let me start off by saying he had our pool looking nice but every month there was some type of extra charge that he explained was due to my 2 year old pool having a leak. There was no leak in my pool. Come to find out , once I went with another pool company they explained (and this is quoted) "It looks like someone was trying to sabotage your pool with the settings they had set because the setting had everything turn off or turned down to the minimum and they had the pool heater on and set to 100 degrees, which will cause all of the chemicals to evaporate". Now that explains why every month my pool bill magically needed all these chemicals because he had everything turned off and the heater turned up high to make the chemicals evaporate out of the pool. I didn't even have to say anything to the new pool company about Randy's services for them to tell me someone had the settings all jacked up because I don't even touch the system. That was just one thing, the other was my Pool Vacuum Cleaner. He said my cleaner was covered under warranty and he would replace it free of charge because the company was sending out a new one. When we finally decided to part ways with Randy he tried to say that the new pool vacuum cleaner he put in was his and tried to take it back and replace it with a broken one. He also tried to say that the company gave it to him so that it was his and not ours. I would think twice about going with him unless you want your bill to be double every month. I am not getting on here to bash him but to only give possible customers and inside look as to what I had to deal with by dealing with this company! read more
