We've been having water pressure issues for years. A couple other contractors told us this was normal on a well. I had another guy working at the house last year, and he said it was definitely not normal, and recommended we call Ricky. I put in a call and Ricky called me right back. He had a guy out the next morning, who did a deep look into our system and explained everything that was going on with the system. They made a recommendation to replace the well tank. We had actually scheduled a few days out to replace the tank, but something came up and we were not going to be around. So they offered to come in the day before in the evening and get it done. They were quick and thorough, with quality work. Cleaned up when they were done, and even changed my whole house filter I'd been neglecting... Prices were reasonable too. It's not something you want to have to spend money on, but you want it done right. Bottom line: Nobody likes dealing with well issues, but if you have to, Reliable makes it easy, and they do an excellent job. I would call them again. read more

A+++ experience. Came home Friday night (why is it always a Friday?) with no running water from the well. It was not a pleasant experience. Knew it is not a plumbing issue and had to be the "well pump" so I contacted the folks at Reliable Pump & Well Service first thing Saturday morning. Left a voice message and got a call me back by 10 am. A 2 man crew came to the house in the afternoon assessed & identified the issue. They manually pulled & replaced the old burned out well pump. It is not cheap to replace the well pump but the price was reasonable enough given the situation. You do get a 5 year warranty on the well pump plus 1 year labor warranty. FYI, do not freak out over the muddy water after the well pump replacement. The well water will be very very muddy initially. Give it at least 48 hours for the sediment to settle. Then run the water "slowly" from sink and/bath tub each day and the muddy water will slowly clear. The water should completely clear by day 5-7. Also, there will be air pressure in the pipes, you might need to unhook your washer hoses & let the air pressure out. Overall, contact these guys if you have a well pump issue. It's not every day that you need to go out to get a new well pump but when mine went out for the second time in 11 years, I had no choice but to locate a good reliable company to replace my well pump. I googled up some companies and found Reliable Pump and Well services out of Montgomery NY. I called at 11pm on a weeknight and at 6:50 am my phone was ringing and the owner, Rick told me he would have a crew there by 11am. Bill and Joey got in there , pulled out the well w a machine ( I had to help hand pull over 300 ft in 2007) and were done within 3 hours. I also got educated on the types of pumps they use but bottom line is that they did an outstanding job and I recommend this company to everyone! Ty guys. Last note: when you pump goes out , don't bother getting estimates because it's just plain stupid and a couple hundred here or there not gonna help u get your water back! read more

These guys are AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. We ran into a well emergency late on a Friday night, and of the over a dozen well companies we called - including those claiming emergency/after hours service - only Reliable answered. They had a full crew at our home by 10am Saturday morning. The owner Ricky is very nice and took the time to explain what was going on with our well (tank and pump) as well as giving up plenty of options to fix our situation. There was zero pressure to do unnecessary repairs or add on any special equipment. When I had questions, either Ricky or another crewman would walk me through exactly what something was, what it did, how it did it, options, etc. The job took several hours since they had a lot of work to do, but when everything was finished, they cleaned up the massive hole in our yard and went through what had been done with us and our well. For such a big repair project, it was a really nice surprise that it went so smoothly. Even when we had a pressure drop in the middle of the we hours on Sunday morning, they sent a crew out first thing Sunday morning and took care of the issue (we didn't let the well sit long enough to fully recover). We love that they guarantee their work and stand by that promise. We are really happy with the repairs and excellent service we received. Catherine was our main contact, and is a huge asset to their company! Everyone we met were friendly and made sure we were comfortable with every step taken in the process. And those other companies we called? Not a single response even when Monday rolled around with normal business hours. How a company treats potential customers says all you need to know about them. If they can't be bothered to call customers back, what else are they letting slide when it comes to performing repairs on your home (very expensive repairs....)? Nope, I want a company that cares enough about each and every person that calls them regardless if it turns into a job for them or not. Fantastic! I had my lawn newly seeded and thirsty when I discovered that my water pressure was too low to run a sprinkler. I called another company to take a look and didn't get a good feeling, so I tried Reliable. The receptionist was very helpful and communicative - she had someone come out that afternoon. When Larry arrived, he quickly assessed the situation gave me a quote (which was substantially lower for MORE work than the first quote I got). It's 6pm at this point, and to my surprise, Larry had everything he needed on the truck to do the job right away. He tackled it, finishing at 10pm that night. The next day he got on the phone with me no fewer than 4 times (while I'm interrupting him on another job he picked up the phone every time) and patiently explained to me questions I had. We came home from work on a Friday evening to find that our well pump had stopped working, absolutely no water. We called Reliable Well and Ricky answered right away, even though it was late on Friday evening. We set up an appointment for 9am on Saturday morning to have them put in a submersible system. Our house apparently should never have closed with a well pump because code was changed years ago to a submersible system, that issue however is with the home inspection. Recognizing that we needed to upgrade to submersible we moved forward with the Saturday appointment. The team showed up on time, even though they had worked Friday evening until 1am, their work was immaculate, they were very particular about being clean, tidy, efficient and extremely polite. With-in a few hours we had a brand new and more efficient system for a very reasonable price.
