Terrible, terrible and terrible. Avoid the new and irresponsible generation of Voelkers, especially the woman on the phone. They fixed two things and broke one. The rude receptionist accused me of the breakage. The owner, a courteous gentleman, called and accepted responsibility ; asking that I forward the plumbing bill occasioned by his crew. I mailed it to him a couple of months ago. NO RESPONSE. I suspect that the receptionist destroyed it. The owner should be mortified to see his reputation ruined. By the way, one of the so called repairs also was faulty. At least I found a new plumber BE FOREWARNED. read more

They do a decent job. It's not easy to find people who will work on a mobile home where you might have to crawl underneath in the heat or cold and lay on the ground surrounded by pipes and insulation that's falling down and whatever else could be under there. Aside from that, some things are different sizes in MH, especially older ones. It's a challenge, and these guys have helped me out in the last few years. read more

We recently relocated to the area and might as well add his number to our speed dial. Super Bowl Sunday we found a leak in our basement we were referred to Voelker plumbing from a Facebook group. Boy did they get it right we were able to send him video he gave advice so we didn't need to pay an emergency service fee and had his team hear the next day. Fast forward to this week our shower wouldn't stop dripping so I watched a YouTube video and thought I could handle a valve replacement. Unfortunately I missed a ster and had a leak. I immediately called bob after hours he was here in less than 45 minutes with AJ and they had us all fixed up and ready to go in less than an hour. So grateful for them: extremely friendly and knowledgeable and fair prices. read more

A Saturday emergency. I called late on a Saturday- the phone was answered promptly. I explained my situation and was given the rates and told someone would be at my home in 30 minutes. Prompt , friendly and gave resolution. Extremely fair pricing and I would absolutely call them again! I believe AJ made the service call! read more

I needed some work done and called to get an estimate. Office said to send pictures of the sinks that needed new faucets. I sent several pictures by email and never heard back. A month later I called again. We had been customers for years so he deserved a second chance. I was told that Bob was busy on heat calls but would call back later or tomorrow. Never called. This is 2 times no call back. Not the way to run a business. I guess he needs time off. I suggest that everybody give it to him. read more

Voelker Plumbing installed a hot water heater with the pressure release valve jammed against the wall. When I inquired about it, the secretary (or whoever she is) told me Bob would call me back. Then she called & told me he admitted the space for the unit was small & asked if the valve was leaking. When I said no, she said Bob said not to touch it. I asked her about the valve being wedged against the wall, & she said, "I don't know anything about that." I was going to call him the next day to discuss it, but I called back to say I was disappointed he didn't call me to discuss the problem, since that valve is important. His secretary interrupted me, said he was very busy & doesn't call his customers. She then told me I was "talking down" to her (after she interrupted me). She was extremely rude, so I said I would report him & hung up. He left a voicemail immediately after I said I would report him (he was in the office). His voicemail stated, "You don't talk to my employees like that." Like what? Saying I was disappointed? Believe me, I could have said much worse. He doesn't stand by his work. This is a potentially dangerous problem. If the pressure release valve can't open (it's wedged against the wall-see photo below), then the tank could explode if the pressure builds up inside. It could cause physical or property damage. Mr. Voelker, I would have discussed this with you had you been courteous enough to call me. You've left me no choice but to file a complaint with the state, which I've done. read more

The plumbing is my house was completely backed up I had called a couple of others plumbers and left messages after waiting an hour I called Mr. Voelker he immediately answered (It must be his cell phone) and transferred me to his office which I explained the problem and she said she would call back. In about 15 mins she called and said someone was on the way. The guy that showed up (I think his name was Sean) was great worked really hard to remove the blockage, replaced a couple of things and was all good to go! He cleaned up after as well. My grandparents had a water softener installed for them in December 2012 by Mr. Voelker. Recently, they had their water independently tested at a local Home Depot and were concerned regarding certain levels of iron that were found. I called Mr. Voelker's office to inquire as to what could be done and whether he could come and check out what might be wrong with unit he installed. His wife answered the phone and told me she would call me back that day with his availability. After not hearing anything for a day, I called back again, and she said Mr. Voelker would come and inspect the unit that day, which he did. I brushed off her lack of response for a day. Today I received a call from Mr. Voelker's irate, incredibly rude, highly-unprofessional wife stating that there was nothing wrong with the softener, that my grandparents had someone come to their home and 'messed with the unit' (which they most certainly hadn't....) and that she demanded payment for her husband's trip to my grandparents' house. There had been no mentioned in my calls with her that her husband coming to inspect a unit HE had installed and GUARANTEED would cost my grandparents $100+. She rudely blurted out that 'of course she had mentioned a service charge', told me she would send the bill to collections, and hung up on me mid-sentence. Quite possible the most rude, unprofessional 'business woman' I've encountered. Rarely do I write negative reviews. In this case, being screamed at, interrupted and spoken to in a matter fitting only of the most unprofessional organizations fully justifies this 1-star review. I could tell you the long story but I'm going to keep it short. Out of a recommendation from a friend our business reached out to Voelker Plumbing & Heating. We worked with several other companies in the past and didn't have the best experience... Our unit was blowing out cold air the whole office was freezing we were working in our gloves, hats and coats! We reached out to Voelker and the one time I spoke to Bob he seemed very nice otherwise I dealt with his wife Maureen. She cut me off, hung up on me, and was generally rude every time I spoke to her! I was in shock after every phone call at the way she would speak to me and hang up on me! I'm in customer service and I kept my cool the entire time and never gave an attitude back or anything... It was unwarranted! After being strung along for 4 days and being hung up on and still no definite time/day they could be here I called another company A Stevens Plumbing & Heating. They came within the hour I called! I called Voelker back out of courtesy to let them know and Maureen answered, I said I reached out to another company and they were able to come out within the hour thank you for your help (WHY I SAID THANK YOU I STILL HAVE NO IDEA) and she hung up on me without a word! Worst experience ever, horrible customer service esp the one who answers call and said "she is the wife". No courtesy to call their customer for follow up after the customer called 3 times and waited all day for a presumed appointment when asked when is the customer available. Then when we called around 4pm after waiting all day the lady will tell us that its not an appointment because we are the one's who said we are available that day, now its the customer fault and the worst is they will call us whenever they are available. I've never seen this kind of service before and clearly i dont think they will keep this customers if this is the kind of service they will give. We ask what is their usual procedure because it seems like we have to call everyday. And to date no calls from them for a week now after clearly we sound super upset from the last conversation with that lady. This is a follow up call from a work they did last jan which is to shut off the cooling system. And we were charged $362 for the work they did that was not finished and the plumber that work with us last time in jan was sitting in the van on his phone for at least 20 mins .... i have to come out and see what is going on..... please do your research as clearly we learned something from this experience. Most unprofessional service i probably would experience in life and the "wife" was rude to be answering calls. Definitely not the one to call esp in an emergency. read more
