I decided to take up pistol shooting several months ago (mostly target) so I did the logical thing and looked for range that had credentialed instructors. Relic Hunter Firing Line is a United States Concealed Carry Association official partner range, and has USCCA certified instructors. I worked with Tom, who was very patient with this first time shooter, and took about half a dozen lessons with him. He explained the different types of pistols, and we used a different one for each lesson, just so I could get the feel of them and decide which one was best for me. Thanks, in a large part, to his patience, I became a member of the range, and will soon to be purchasing a pistol of my own, which I will do there. I haven't taken lessons with anyone besides Tom, but all the other employees are very professional and friendly, and I enjoy interacting with them as well. The selection in the shop is quite comprehensive and, from what I've seen online, the prices are competitive. Even if the prices were higher here, I would still probably go, because the professionalism and service would be worth the extra money. read more

I'm a senior citizen and disabled. The rental staff has been very kind to me. I'm sometimes unable to hang my targets and the RSO on duty during my last visit was kind enough to staple them up for me. Twenty-dollars for one hour is a very reasonable price. read more

I went there on a whim and man was i surprised. They had a vast majority of rental weapons for people to learn on the range along with that. They had a decent selection of firearms for sale and a bunch of other necessities. I would highly recommend to get a membership and become a shooter at the range. The staff seem really knowledgeable and nice. They didn't mind that I was there right before they closed which was good overall recommended. read more

My first visit here was short to say the least. When looking around for ammo I already knew I was in a rough spot. 100 rounds of 9mm where nearly $200, not to mention other calibers. Since the Russian ban I have decided to look again only to see their prices triple. While I understand the situation we are facing, I refuse to be taken advantage of. I brought my girlfriend in to zero her long gun only to find out I am not allowed to shoot 223/556 on any other day but Monday? I have never heard of such a thing. Every accessory is $50-80 over msrp, the counter staff just talk amongst themselves offering little to no help. I haven't had a pleasant experience in this shop since I discovered it a couple months ago. I will not be going back. read more

Great experience here. Did a Groupon for $12 for a lane for an hour. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and asked to fill out forms. After letting them know we hadn't shot before they offered a 10$ pp class to acquaint us with the gun we'd rented. Needed to purchase hearing and eye protection for under $5 pp, ammo, and targets. Rental was $15. We had a great time. It was definitely a place I'd take my 12 yr old To to get some basic gun safety and understanding like my 14 yr old got today. read more

Worst place to do business. Bought over 2k in guns and ammo on less than 3 months. Bought a Taurus that they switched the box on. Let me walk out of the store with the wrong box. Sold it to me with two extended mags. Got a call three weeks later to bring the gun and box back in to switch the boxes out. They only have me one extended back, then when I commented on how the deal was made with two extended mags, the "manager" at the front said "deal with Taurus, they don't come with two extended mags. We aren't going to give you a mag and eat the cost on a low end pistol".... AMAZING business if you ask me. Wasted and hour of driving time to correct THEIR issue and got stuck in the rear. I reached out to them via Facebook with an inventory question. They responded in a timely fashion and I ended up going in to check out some of their selection. For starters, the selection was ENDLESS. They had at least 8 employees working as well so no awkward wait. Everyone was very helpful and approachable and answered even "dumb" questions. Opinions are everything for someone like myself who isn't 100% up to date on firearm knowledge. Every opinion mattered from the workers and helped me sway my decision to my AR-15 purchase. I see no reason why this place would have anything but a 5 star review, just your typical snobs I'm sure asking to speak to the manager..... I stopped at a few other shops that day and Relic Hunter was by far the highest price on firearms and ammo. I guess they need to have prices that high to pay for all the employees milling around. I will say this is based off of pre-COVID. They have high inventory which is great but their price tags are higher than what I've gotten from other places out the door and they do not negotiate anything worth wasting your time on and the owner himself will tell you lies to try and get you to purchase from him even to the point where they try to make you feel like you don't know what you're talking about. That being said if you're fine spending the extra money and they have it then go for it. If not, chances are you can go elsewhere save $50-$80 with a week or two wait. read more

Buyers BEWARE! This shop is jacking their ammunition prices up nearly 80-90% during the Coronavirus crisis. Guessing that's not the only thing getting price increases. I've purchased several weapons here in the past year and my biggest complaint has been how disorganized their sales staff is when dealing with customers. But getting gouged today is likely the last time they will see us. The owner was part of this sale and I have to say he is taking a VERY shortsighted view here. Awesome place that is pressure free and will also have a range up and running soon as well. They actually opened early for me on a Sunday as I was itching for my HK VP-9 Tactical. I bought my 1st firearm (Sig P320) from them almost a year ago and let me tell you, I will buy them all from these guys. I dont care if I spend another $25, the service that you get is worth it. I went to purchase a hand gun. Counter service was excellent. Then came the process of completing the 4473. The individual processing the form was not good nor was the process itself. He had 10 or so people waiting, he was slow, took a break to make coffee, responded that a second processer was not needed when asked, just a general cluster. Another turnoff was his approach to the job stressed like a special ops person with a Matich attitude in a negative sense. Really not worth the trip to purchase and I eventually returned the purchase to the counter and left after a 1 hour or so wait. read more

Terrible no 380 auto ammo if you bearing your own gun . Only if you rent a gun from there , how convenient. We shot 15 rounds of 12ga ammo . 15 min came out and they hit me with a $15 penalty claiming we hit the metal part of the target holder ???? Metal is painted paint looked new and untouched they lied to get more money from me . No proof was told oh well safety officer said he saw it . Told them I won't be back girl tells me that's ok ???? Was first on a waiting list for a limited gun. Imagine my surprise when I found them selling two of them on gunbroker despite being on their waiting list and never getting a call. They also have a list of 20 people waiting for Pythons and yet have sold 12 on gunbroker. If your on their "list" I would look elsewhere as they sold your gun on gunbroker. When called on it one employee told me they "made a business decision" by not honoring their waiting list and later the owner flat out lied to me despite me knowing they sold guns I was waiting for on gunbroker instead. All there prices are MSRP anyway so not a sure why anybody buys anything from them but i was willing to pay MSRP on the gun I was looking for as it's very limited supply. read more

Wife and I went there to try a new gun for her. Filled out the paperwork and watched the video. Lady we first talked to was somewhat nasty. Wife is first time pistol shooter and I am experienced. Did a class on concealed carry early nov. she told us that wife must pay for instruction even though we watched video and my experience. Forty minutes later clerk (who was the nicer one there) tried to set us up. This woman did not like what he told us and dressed him down in front of us. Very unprofessional. So we stood off to the side and waited for someone to take us into the range. Fifteen minutes. Watched employees argue with each other and ignore us. Felt like the kids who never get picked by either team. Finally one guy who would not even look at us walked by, ten feet away, and muddered that we would have another half hour to wait because shortage of staff. I saw like fifteen workers. And not one had a mask on. Suppose if we would have walked in with a bazooka and other arms strapped then might have considered us relevant. Will never go back to this bastion of arrogance and self loving people. And will be sure to tell anyone about experience. read more

The people who work there are always looking into the customer's best interest, not the most expensive item they can get them to buy. Herbert (so sorry if I got the name wrong!) was extremely helpful in helping me decide on what firearm I really wanted to spend my money on. The others were very helpful as well, don't get me wrong. Everyone is great there, seriously. I was looking at a gun that was out of my price range at the time, and Herbert suggested that I look at another gun that was very popular, but that was also less expensive. I put it on layaway, returned a few days later, and finished the transaction. He was very patient with me not knowing much about the process; I messed up on my forms a few times, and he just told me how to correct it. I got everything I needed at a fantastic price! It was the best customer service I have ever received, to be honest with you. I will recommend this establishment to anyone who's willing to drive there (I'm an hour and a half away from Whitehall). It was well worth the drive. If I ever decide on another firearm, this is definitely where I will be going. I also want to add that no one here treated me differently because I'm a woman. I was at a different establishment not an hour before this one, and the guy there kept trying to sell me "lighter" guns, or guns that had no recoil...or, that were pink. Everyone at Relic Hunter Firearms was incredibly respectful and not once did they mock me or make any comments about my limited knowledge of certain things.
