Stahley's Cellarette is a sports bar and family restaurant located on Hanover Avenue in Allentown…read more Now under new ownership, it's open daily from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. I grew up on the East Side of Allentown, so I've been coming to Stahley's for as long as I can remember. When I heard it had changed ownership, I was curious to see what, if anything, was different, and whether the food still held up to the Stahley's I've known for years. Walking through the front door, the interior looked just as I remembered, unchanged and familiar. I really hope they keep it that way. The menu has been updated, but they've kept the steamed clams and cheesesteaks, the dishes I come here for. The clams haven't changed a bit, same size, same $5.75 a dozen price, and still served with rich brown butter. The cheesesteak is also right on par, still served with peppers, pickles, and sauce. My only gripe is the roll, as it didn't hold up. I also tried the wings, and they were bigger and better than before. A few more minutes in the fryer, and they would have been perfect. My friend ordered the grilled chicken Caesar wrap with fries. Since she gets it all the time at Sibri's, she knew she wouldn't be disappointed. The service was solid. We were seated immediately, and our server Sondra took great care of us. There are a few minor kinks to work out, but I think the new owners are doing a great job so far.

The clams are still good and our new waitress did a solid job -- that's the only reason they're getting one star. The Broiled Seafood Dinner was basically rubber on a plate. Completely flavorless. My friend ordered the Black Gold Steak medium, and it came out nearly raw. Sent it back, and it returned burned to a crisp -- well‑well done and tasting like it came off a dirty grill. If this is the direction under the new ownership, I don't see them lasting long without major changes.

I left multiple voicemails and sent several emails--but not once did I receive a response. Every time I called, no one answered, and no one ever returned my calls. My team was excited to visit this bowling alley, but the complete lack of communication made it impossible to plan. After weeks of trying, I finally got someone on the phone, only to be told that they don't take reservations--and then they hung up on me. The poor customer service and unprofessionalism were incredibly frustrating. If a business doesn't take reservations, a simple response letting me know would have been appreciated. Instead, I was ignored for weeks and then rudely dismissed. I won't be attempting to bring my business here again.

We got a flight to try out different beers which we thought was very affordable. We got wings to share (flavors were bang bang and Nashville hot) and it does come with celery and blue cheese or ranch. The wings are relatively large and bigger compared to places like wing stop or Buffalo Wild Wings. We personally didn't love the flavors we got as we weren't expecting the Nashville hot to be a dry rub. The bang bang was a good mix of sweet and creamy but we're not sure we would get it again. Other than the flavors, we would say the wings were cooked well. They were crispy but still moist. One thing to not miss out on are the boardwalk fries. We unexpectedly really enjoyed them. We're not typically thick cut fries people but these were done just right. They were super crisp but still nice and soft! Lastly, the burger was a UNIT. Super big, moist, and the combination of all the fresh vegetable toppings with their special sauce was delicious. The homemade chips were the perfect addition. Nice and crispy although the seasoning was a little sporadic. Highly recommend checking out this place for some casual American food that's affordable.

I'm glad that I did as I got to meet two girls who I ultimately ended up sharing conversations with. As well as one of the girls bought us all shots. I realized during my time out in Pennsylvania I greatly appreciated the cost of drinks. It was such a nice change, especially coming from California. I ultimately got two Jack and cokes my total for both were for $15. It was also nice to see that if you paid in cash, it would be slightly cheaper which is what I ended up doing.

I love the policy of being able to order online and return to any store - but the stores aren't always happy with that because it affects their sales total. But this place did not make me feel uncomfortable when I did have to return a pair of shoes. For that, 5 stars! Famous Footwear has an online store too in addition to their brick-and-mortars and they carry most national brands and everything from socks, sandals, to sneakers, running shoes, fashion boots, and even steel toe shoes. Lots of socks as well as cushions and insoles for your shoes - and bonus because they had the coiled slip-ons (over your regular shoes) to help with walking on slick/iced/slippery surfaces in the winter. If they don't have it they can search the inventory of nearby stores or order it for you online.
