I have bought and sold multiple firearms over the years. Without exception, I get the best deal at Heritage Guild in Easton. The staff is knowledgable and patient. The Regional Manager, Mat Vollers, is a walking, talking database of very component of every firearm that has ever been produced. I traded a 1939 British Enfield. He visually identified every modification and explained the history of why the modifications were necessary. The rest of the staff are great too. And the range is a pleasure. Can it sometimes get busy? Of course! It is BECAUSE it is a great place! read more

The positive: decent selection of firearms. The negative: the people behind the gun counter are definitely not being paid on a commission basis. There were customers waiting for help and several employees were standing in a group just BSing and ignoring the customers. Then when I finally did get someone to help, he could not make it more obvious that he had no interest in helping and was bothered by the fact that he couldn't go back to BSing with the other employees. The facility itself is in a nice area, and the building and range layout are well done. I've visited a few times and would say the range is decent overall, with average pricing. However, the cost of ammo is noticeably higher than expected. What really brought my rating down was the staff experience. On my most recent visit this week, I had a disappointing interaction with a range staff member who came off as unnecessarily snappy and intrusive. He inserted himself into a private conversation between me and another shooter, and despite giving him the benefit of the doubt at first, his attitude didn't improve. I strongly suggest that management provides customer service training to the staff, particularly on professionalism and respectful communication. It's important that paying customers feel comfortable and welcome especially in an environment where safety and mutual respect should be a priority. Me and my guest were genuinely let down by the attitude we encountered. Let's remember: we're all adults here, and a little courtesy goes a long way. read more

Been here a few times over the years. Always a poor experience due to the owner. You'll stand around waiting to get helped. I get it that its his business but to ignore customers because apparently he's the only one to talk, and talk, and talk makes no sence. Today we came in to buy 2 sporting clays shotguns. For 10 minutes we stood at the counter while he gave non-stop legal advice to another customer regarding NFA purchases and how New Jersey and PA and Federal law differ. I guess he may also be a licensed Attorney who can legally do this, but I dont know. The irony of this is we heard him say "im here to make money", yet he ignores buying customers, I guess because he values hearing himself talk more than the money. Similar experiences twice before! My wife walked out 5 minutes in complaining about how she couldn't stand there any longer and listen to him. My brother warned me about going there citing these same issues. I scanned some of the negative reviews and I was left wondering if they were actually at HG? Staff there have always been super helpful and friendly to me and to any reasonable customer I've seen shopping there. At the same time, the staff and ROs at HG are constantly safety-oriented and will enforce safety rules, gently and respectfully if possible, or more forcibly if necessary. This is as it should be. It's a fine place to shoot, especially in the Tac range. The people who do the Tac stuff are great people, with a broad demographic. I would recommend the range to anyone. read more

Came here with a friend and I'm glad I did so. No offense but it truly is in the middle of nowhere...just look at its surroundings! I always wanted to go to a shooting range and my friend who's licensed in NJ was more than happy to take me (or at least I would like to think so). Yes there are ones in New York (specifically Long Island, obviously) and in New Jersey but this one was worth it according to him so who am I to object? First of all, the store is huge. It makes sense though- it's in Easton, PA (again, no offense)! My friend looked like a kid at the candy store with the wide range of options they had. In terms of the shooting range itself, there was a very affordable promo the staff had informed us of- a 9 mm S&W and 30 shots in a simulation game for $15. Why was it so cheap? I later realized it's because they were advertising the gun itself. As it was my first time, I know that I should've gone with a 22 mm instead but I can't resist a good deal. The actual shooting range itself? First and foremost, I need whatever headphones they have there. Literally cannot even hear the gun go off, it's quite fascinating. I have traveled to this location multiple times both for purposes of utilizing the range and purchasing accessories and firearms. The place is clean and organized but everything else is off. The staff are incredibly short (temperament), both in person and over the phone whether it be in the range itself or behind the counter. I've experienced plenty of times where I'd make a call and was hung up. Asking questions was treated as if you were bothering them to do their job with excessive eye rolling or was you being profiled as a criminal, the attitude had killed many potential sales for me and they have a pretty good selection of firearms. I wouldn't recommend new shooters to go here, it's not a horrible place, prices are reasonable and if you keep to yourself you'll be fine. read more

It is concerning to me that they require your drivers license and record your information for ALL purchases, not just those involving a firearms purchase. Many in the gun community are opposed to firearms registrations, yet this store voluntarily forces you to record your information for there database. I asked if you were able to opt out of leaving your information and was told "no" when I was simply trying to purchase targets. The fact that they are voluntarily composing a list of firearms enthusiasts, their address, and phone number with no option to opt out is why I will no longer shop at or recommend this store to others. While I have nothing to hide, I do not see how creating a list of gun owners helps anyone other than gun grabbers should it later be subpoenaed under some false pretense. This is a hard review to write. There are two parts to the place. The range and the store. There's also three parts to the staff. The employees and the management and the owner. Each aspect of the Heritage Guild deserves its own review. RANGE: Excellent facilities and people. I can't stress highly enough the live I have for the range officers here. There are some negative reviews here regarding the RSOs and before coming here, those reviews scared me. After becoming a member, shooting almost daily for months, I assure you, they're nonsense. One reviewer called out Shane. I can tell you, there's no one who takes firearm safety more seriously than Shane. No one more ready and willing to help newcomers than Shane. No one who knows more about fixing things on the range than he does. His only quirk is that he's fanatical about safety. If you're a know-it-all who decides you don't need to follow the rules, you're gone. If you shoot clips off of targets, you're gone. Why? Because a ricochet could hurt someone badly. A 357 hitting a piece of metal at 6 yards is no joke. So YES he's uptight about it. He's supposed to be. In my opinion, he is a great RSO, a fine person and has helped me well above and beyond his responsibility. As for the other RSOs, they're incredible. Every one of them are friendly, helpful and responsible. They can shoot, they can help you shoot. Great group. The staff at the desk before you go on the range is also good. Some folks mistake their tone for being negative. It's not. They've got to be SURE you're following the rules for signing up. You should hear the crazy things they get asked. So if they seem annoyed or negative, they aren't. They're making sure they're a "no screwing around" mentality before you go shoot. The staff and management of the range is outstanding. THE STORE: I also love the staff and managers in the store. They are also outstanding people who will help you find the right firearm. They have good deals as well. As a member of the range, I get a discount on everything, so it is great. The managers are helpful and they help get the tedious paperwork going without a problem. The staff and managers at the store are outstanding, helpful and honest. The owner is a good guy who dropped the ball once with me. It was a big ball, but not the end of the world. I say just be VERY careful about used firearms. FINALLY I joined the range membership program. It paid for itself within a month. It's a great deal and the more I shoot the more I love it. I've made friends from all walks of life there and it's been wonderful. A great place and the membership is well worth it. read more

I have been to the range a few time before but never took a class here. Well it was awesome! The set up was nice they had a nice spread of refreshments and raffles everything was great. The staff was very very friendly. The instructors were highly experienced and didn't make you feel stupid. They were very patient and showed you everything you need to know. This was such a nice shooting range and the staff was wonderful!!! I took my boyfriend here for his birthday on 8/7/15. This was one of 3 stops in Easton, PA. It took us about 2 hours to get here but it was so worth the drive. I did a lot of research online and also called to confirm a few things. Their website doesn't lie and everything you need to know is in their FAQ section We did the free range shooting and rented guns there. You basically just fill out a form, watch a safety video, pick out your guns, ammo, targets, and start shooting! That process took about 30-45 minutes because they were pretty busy. They should've had an extra cashier on duty. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes to pick out guns since we wanted to ask the staff for their opinions. It was my first time shooing and the boyfriend's second time shooting. We rented 3 guns, got 400 ammo, and shoot for 2 hours. It was about $160. The staff was so wonderful. They really go above and beyond to make sure you know what you're doing and they were always available to help. This is key customer service and especially, at a shooting range. We'll definitely be back. Very impressive. read more

I found most of the people are helpful and courteous. There are some d bags but not many. The facility is nice and they take safety pretty seriously. All positives. I've been to other places where everyone that works their is rude and unprofessional. The Guardian Training center in Warminster is just like that. And that owner gets online and calls people dumbass and insults patrons left and right. Most unprofessional thing ever. I don't even know where to start. I've been to this place 6 times in an effort to give them another shot, but I am now done. I went there and took a friend with me that has never shot a gun. Well needles to say him not having any experience ended up shooting one of the targets clips that was holding the targetcarboard. two seconds later we get this Short looser that they had working there and started shooting orders from 10 feet away ordering him to put the gun down and to retrieve immediately and screaming to his face told him "YOU GUNNED DOWN MY CLIP'!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and proceeded to shove the broken metal part in to my friends face as he was screaming direction as to where to aim the (as he said) F...Gun. The six times that I've been there, I've always had to deal with some idiot with a God like behavior, I've always had attributed to the side of safety, but this time this Moron when just a bit to far. Never again, and you should stay away from this place unless you like to be Scream at and be treated as if you are doing them a favor. Never again. read more

I came in as a potential employee and was turned down respectfully by their manager. Business was business and we parted ways (no response was given) I returned back as a customer month later because they have a great reputation and decent deals. I picked out a firearm I liked and was immediately flagged with it from their employees multiple times from different staffs. Then I was rushed within the buying process by one of their staff due to unknown reason and felt like I was not appreciated as a customer. Even when their staff had an issue within their system they had called their manager and he failed to even address me as a person and tried avoiding me as whole. I guess they took it personal but it was just business. I was respectful all throughout the transaction and hope they can better their professionalism and gun safety towards their future customers. read more

I've purchased five guns from here already and highly recommend them. Great selection of pistols and rifles and they are an elite Sig Sauer dealer as well! Range is good and they also have a Tactical Range as well with events regularly. Sometimes the staff can come across as rude, but it is only because they are following very strict protocols due to firearms and 'uneducated people' coming in to handle, rent, and shoot firearms. I've never had an issue and I feel comfortable with the RSOs on duty within the range. People have to understand, it's NOT a playground and the firearms need to be treated seriously. If your feelings are hurt...don't go! Believe me; I have been to other locations nearby where I wasn't given the time of day. Heritage Guild has a knowledgeable staff and has fair prices. Lastly, if you find yourself going regularly invest in the membership, it is well worth it. read more

Without question this is the premier gun range/dealer in the Lehigh Valley. I have never had a bad experience there and despite the fact that there is a closer range to my house continue to go there every time. Safety is the top priority there and the range officers are beyond professional. All seem to be ex law enforce/ex military who are there to keep everyone safe but are also very professional and helpful. Having just made a new a r one five purchase I took a one hour private lesson with Chris which I highly recommend. He was very patient with my many questions and able to answer each one in detail. The lesson included a complete, step by step breakdown of the rifle and reassembly with explanations of each part and their function, before sighting it in. His patience, knowledge and professionalism gave me a lot of confidence with my purchase and again, if you are not super proficient with firearms I highly recommend spending a little ($80) on the private lesson. The range and store itself are always clean, and the staff are great. I usually go in the early afternoon and have never had an issue getting a lane - there are abt 20 in 3 different areas - and the cost for a lane is $20 for an hour. Like the rest of the planet they are struggling with ammo but do have some to sell provided you are using it there at the range. This is the second time I have been at the Heritage Guild. The 1st time was back in October with a friend for their annual "Ladies Night". We had an absolute blast! Everyone was friendly and helpful. This time around was no different. Shane at the checkout counter was sweet and very knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and with a smile. Also have to give a shout out to Rob, our range master. He was really personable and knowledgeable as well. We rented 2 stalls for an hour and he was very gracious when our time was running out...said we could have 10-15 more minutes. Lots of new gun owners out there and it is imperative that we receive proper training. I joined this indoor range and received Handgun Core Fundamentals (a six hour class) for free. Learned how to shoot revolvers and semis in 22 to 45 caliber. The classroom section covered all basics, safe handling, sighting, eye dominance, stance, grip etc. The class included simulated shooting (helpful and very fun) and live fire of 7 handguns. If you are a new gun owner, in need of a refresher, or never really got training you should have, I highly recommend this course. I've also shot in the range outside of class. The RSO's are strict (as they should be) but very helpful and professional. Store has slim pickings like every place else in light of the huge increase in gun purchases. They offer group archery events but I would not recommend if your group is larger than 6, because they only have 6 targets, which allows only 6 people play at a time. However they will charge you based on how HEAD COUNT. In my case we were a group of 15 and they charged us $636 ($42.4 per person). In an hour each one of us just had a chance to shoot 10 arrows, and endless waiting time. They did not disclose the fact that they only have 6 lanes in the beginning, meanwhile their bows and arrows are flawed (lack of maintenance). Most important of all, the arrows are old and lots of them are dysfunctional. Some of us only have 3 arrows to use in a bout because they were running out of arrows! I just can't believe a $636 event would be like this. Everyone in our group could not believe they charged us this amount. Please don't choose here if you are a group leader. read more
