I love this place! Everything you need all under one roof to stay healthy, eat well, discover hard to find spices & partake in a delicious pound cake for those cheat days.... that is slammin' btw!! In such a small space you can find an array of unique grocery-pantry items, tea blends, spices, fresh produce, great food products and sauces that are all native to local Shops around DC or sourced from reputable health-food nutrition brands across the US. They also have a juice bar that makes some of the most delicious, healthy-creative juices and smoothies in the DMV. I've tried the blueberry lavender lemonade, Soursop Lemon Tea & Pear Mint Tea....all are soooo good! But, they have a Tropical Sea Moss juice smoothie that is out of this world. Between this drink and the Soursop Lemonade Tea....I order these two on repeat every time I stop here. It's black owned (Mom & Daughter Duo), with great customer service, and they sell two of my most "Don's Favorite Things List" items..... Hand Crafted award winning "HOT Sauces" and a lot of "Sea Moss" options! The hot sauces here are artisan crafted and handmade using varied peppers from the owners personal garden. The heat levels goes from mild to extreme....I mean, listen....no joke...I'm talking about "Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em!" levels. It's called "Fatal" Hot Sauce and has a cult following of repeat customers; including myself. The flavor and heat burns soooo good. :) Relish Market also sells hard to find Gold/Purple Sea Moss that is sourced from the Caribbean. They sell it in raw form, supplemental blends (capsules) and as a flavored/unflavored gel....all prepared in-house by the owners. My "go-to" is their Mango Sea Moss Gel and unflavored, regular Gold Sea Moss. It's some of the best you can find in the DMV; especially when my main supplier is sold out. I have nothing but great things to share about this business from my time visiting them. Although a tiny shop, they pack a powerful punch and put a much needed health and wellness stamp within the community in which they are located --because there are not a lot of health food stores in the Brentwood neighborhood. As a matter of fact, there's only 1 other store in this entire neighborhood and/or within a 5 mile radius....yeah imma geek on pointless facts like that. lol. Anyway....back to this review. I highly recommend this business and stopping here. You would not be disappointed in the health food items, selections and select grocery products they have available. The justice bar is worth a stop alone!

Came to the mixt food hall and found this great places. I had great Mexican food. And a pop up for cake pops with destiny's pops on Instagram @destinyspops . Great experience and the fact that I found sea moss and teas it set it off for me from the relish market.

$22...the owner makes it, she said, along with most everything else in her inventory.

This place is quite the hidden gem.... literally. The size of an oversized walk-in closet, it's to your IMMEDIATE right/behind as you enter the food hall which virtually ensures you'll overlook it since the eye tends to focus on what's in front and what's on the the storefront name facing the street - Little Miner Tacos. Extra signage might help cure this. It wasn't until the operations manager of the food hall mentioned it that we decided to stop by her little in the corner store - on the way out. As you approach the exit, this market is to your left @10 o'clock, a bit easier to spot. I'm not sure if it's a bit easier to see because of where it is (leaving) or because we knew we were looking for it. Either way, the owner is sitting behind the counter and is very friendly and knowledgeable. She carries an awesome array of healthful and home made products. All kinds of spices, seasonings, sauces and what not. She came from behind the counter to interact and point a few things out. I've been looking for sea moss gel for a while at a reasonable price, and lo and behold, she had an extensive amount in a variety of flavors. I bought mango, 16 ounces, for $22. It has the perfect amount of what tastes like mango puree to mask that super fishy taste inherent to sea moss. Glad I found it because I didn't want to buy it off Amazon, or from some random site, and I [definitely] didn't want it unflavored. Owner mentioned that her hideaway shop will be expanding it's square footage soon so hopefully it'll be more visible. In any case, her products are worth the trip.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem while waiting for my food at an adjacent eatery. I was drawn to their refrigerated section because I needed a drink to go with my food. I picked up a Strawberry Lemonade and I asked the lady "is this good"? And she said "of course it is, I make them". I took her word for it and $4 later, i had a drink. I made the "mistake" of taking one sip in the car before my food was ready. And found myself shamelessly walking back to ask for the lady's name (Stephanie), and purchasing two more. Hands down the best strawberry lemonade I've ever had. Why did i purchase 2 more? Because i did NOT want to share. All 16oz i wanted to consume. By myself!! Come check this place out. Plenty of other items to include, spices, sauces, smoothies...and did i mention the strawberry lemonade???

Honestly, the reason I think this store is great is that it allows greater access to organic foods and foods for alternative eating lifestyles in a community that may not have the same access as others. It's perfect for my sister and I, who are vegetarians, and it's within walking distance of the main strip of Anacostia. Change has to start somewhere and this store is just the beginning. So stop in and help this business grow so it can continue to change the community from within. Check out the other stores and spaces while you're there & don't forget your reusable bag.

The owner is kind and passionate about breaking through the food desert in Wards 7 and 8. The store itself is set up like a small organic market with fresh produce, local products, and other products. You could easily get most of your groceries here and the prices are reasonable for quality goods. They sell wine, snacks, fruit, literally almost everything! They also teach healthy cooking classes and host other events.
