Unfortunately, my experience today (around 1:30 p.m.) was the worst customer service I have ever received here. When I entered the store, there were no employees at the counter, although two customers were already eating inside. I waited several minutes and politely called out "Excuse me?" and "Hello?" because I could hear employees talking and working in the back. No one acknowledged me. Another customer who witnessed me waiting even tried calling out to get someone's attention, but we were both ignored. Eventually, an employee came out. As I started placing my order, she interrupted me and said, "Y'all customers need to be more patient. If we're not out here, we're in the back doing something. Not just sitting around." I was shocked. I had done nothing except patiently wait and respectfully ask for assistance after several minutes without acknowledgment. I explained that her comment was rude and that a simple "We'll be with you in a moment" would have been sufficient. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, she rolled her eyes, argued with me, and eventually threw her hands up, said, "You know what?!" and walked away, seemingly refusing to finish helping me. When I asked another employee for the store number and contact information, I was told she had "just gotten here." When I asked for the store's phone number, she told me to "go look on Google." I work with the public myself, so I understand that everyone has stressful days. However, there is no excuse for speaking to customers this way. The issue was never the wait--it was the complete lack of acknowledgment followed by an aggressive and dismissive attitude. I'm disappointed because I've supported this location for years. I've submitted a formal complaint to Subway and hope management addresses how customers are treated going forward.
