She has the typical antique stuff like glassware, dishes, jewelry, baby dolls, clothes, old appliances, books and records. Books and records were 20% off on the day we went. The records were mainly entertainers from the late '50s and '60s. We did find a book about National Parks that we purchased. They also had some old typewriters which would be a cool gift for an inspiring writer in your life. In the photos for this place it says they are closed on Wednesdays. But when we went yesterday, they were very much open.

Immediately across the street from the Central City Opera House, the building alone is worth a visit. The friendly gallery manager, Michelle, will happily recount its fascinating history, not the least of which it is the oldest continuously occupied building in Colorado. The front portion of the gallery houses a diverse and affordable collection of works by local artists including pottery, photos, prints, cards, jewelry, wood, fiber art, etc., etc. Many gift worthy items. The rear very funky gallery hosts changing exhibits. I plan to return for the Mile High International Pastel Exhibit beginning April 9, 2022. The vendors dress in Victorian costume, there's an hourly door prize you get to pick from a selection of items donated from the vendors and Santa is milling around. There's a tea room with goodies and hot drinks and a really nice variety of price and selection of handmade crafts, collectibles and jewelry. I bought all my gifts last year there, but mostly I just feel like I'm a kid again. I found Colorado history books at the Historical Society booth that I sent to my niece and nephew. They give tours and talks about the old hotel, the Face on the Barroom Floor and famous people from the past.
