If you are even remotely thinking about hiring ReLuv'd to re-finish any of your project pieces, think again! The customer service is non-existent. Emails/texts are not returned in a timely manner (if at all). Pickup dates/times were established to get our finished pieces, and then we would receive emails 2 hours before pickup stating they hadn't even begun the piece, much less finished it. And don't even bother giving explicit instructions on how you would like you piece re-finished, because they will take it upon themselves to do what THEY want, not what YOU want and are paying for. I contacted ReLuv'd in August about a table/chair set which was supposed to be layered and distressed. I gave very detailed instructions and supplemented those instructions with numerous pictures to show exactly what I wanted. They assured me they were familiar with this technique and they could handle the project. WRONG! When my pieces came back, the primary color was wrong. I gave them the opportunity to fix the color (for an additional cost), but the table/chairs came back in even worse condition. The second time around, they just slapped on some latex paint (which was peeling and chipping from the moment I picked it up the second time) and dry brushed on the secondary color and called that "distressing". They basically stole $600 from me and left me with a shoddy finished project. In fact, those same pieces are currently with another furniture refinishing professional being completely stripped and re-done properly. The new company fixing my pieces was absolutely appalled at the work done by ReLuv'd and couldn't believe that they allowed a customer to leave with something that was in such horrible condition. I finally received all of my furniture back in my possession on January 4th (almost 5 months of going round and round with these people). Additionally, when I picked up one of my newly upholstered chairs from them, I found fingerprint stains on the back of my cream colored fabric. We are currently trying to get the stains out of the fabric; however it seems to be stain or wax, which is not removable. This is completely unacceptable and just another example of their lack of professionalism in handling customer's pieces properly and with respect. Save your hard-earned money, your valuable time and the heartache of dealing with this company. There are plenty of honest, knowledgeable and professional re-finishing companies in the Houston area - don't make the same mistake I did by hiring ReLuv'd. read more

My experience with Missy and Tim is starkly different than the other reviewer's, so I feel inclined to share. My family traveled out to the Reluv'd property and looked through their barn of vintage furniture, after making an appointment in advance. I immediately found a headboard I wanted, but they did not have an ideal coordinating nightstand. I explained what my overall vision was for the bedroom and Missy contacted their friends in the vintage furniture resellers industry. Within two days, I had a picture of the nightstand I wanted at a shop in Spring. Instead of paying for the owners to pick it up, we took care of that. I delivered the nightstand to Reluv'd and looked at the color sample Missy had applied to the headboard, based on a picture from Wayfair and my verbal description. It needed a very minor tweak after her first application, but was fixed to my specification. I picked everything up yesterday and am very pleased with the results. I already have two more projects for them, using some existing furniture. Throughout this entire process, including setting the appointment, discussions of color and style, through pickup, I found Missy to be very responsive and reasonably accommodating of my schedule. (We live in Memorial area, so driving to Simonton at peak hours is out of the question.) I have multiple friends who want to take a field trip out with me next time, after seeing the first two pieces. Great job! Very reasonably priced. read more

They did a terrible job on my day bed. When they delivered, the bed had been damaged, paint has been chipped off en route to my home according to them and they told me how I could repair it. Later I found black hand prints, yellow spots, and green paint splatters. Very sloppy job and took twice as long as they promised. Complete waste of money! read more

I truly loved the vintage, reclaimed, eclectic, shabby chic look and so I was in LOVE when I visited the warehouse at ReLuv'd. Missy has such an eye for design and her husband is skilled at all the neat techniques I have seen on trend lately. I wish I could take it ALL home! We had family pictures done with Missy and the "sets" were awesome. She had such cute ideas for our family pictures and some really fun ideas for pictures of the kids. Unfortunately, at our photo session something had happened to Missy's camera and the sharpness/quality of the images in our photos was not spectacular. Missy went ahead a edited the photos and sent them to me but never charged me. She said she would rather us re-take photos at our convenience so that we had pictures that are up to her standards. I would give ReLuv'd 5 stars but you also need to know this before you get your expectations too high..... they are busy, busy, busy people and I have had emails messages that were not returned for several days. Missy was always apologetic about the delay in communication but it is defiantly an area for growth. Also, they are usually out in the shop and do not answer the phone. I think they could benefit themselves greatly by getting a land line with an extension bell like we had back in the day when we worked outside and needed to hear the phone.... Other than that you will be happy with what you see out there! It is worth the drive to go check out the warehouse if you need a piece of furniture or are looking to rent pieces for a special occasion this is the place to be! read more
