When I first began to see Brandy, I was happy with her as a therapist. This began to degrade a bit as myself and my Dr. disagreed with her repeated diagnosis and encouragement for me to medicate when unnecessary in our opinions. However, I still thought she was a decent therapist. I had read a number of negative reviews and used the logic of "This woman deals with hundreds of people of course there will be unhappy people (especially in this line of work)", however I did not look at the continuity or similarities of several reviews regarding money. After assuring me numerous times that I would never owe her a dime directly, her employee asked for my email, which I thought was strange as I had provided it numerous times, and was then sent a "bill" of a large sum of money, which I didn't owe her. She wanted me to pay far beyond my legal maximum copay because insurance wasn't working on her schedule and she was having issues! When she charged me the legal maximum, I paid promptly, actually having to remind a staff member to bill me. Then, after being told I'm all paid up, she then tried to bill me more because payment was rejected due to her error. That was the last straw, causing me to write this review now. I wish I could legally show the contents of her emails, but again, I can't due to confidentiality. If she says her seemingly standard reply of it is hard to discharge a patient...I wasn't discharged, I stopped going several weeks before the initial bill. She apparently has so many billing issues a former employee has actually said on Google reviews some time ago "It's not a personal attack on you." Wow, I certainly wish I had read that beforehand. This lady is still trying to get me to pay a phoney bill despite me calling my insurance company repeatedly . She has threatened me various times. She originally got denied because she didnt bill until after my visits and my insurance company assured me she doesnt fill out the forms correctly . My insurance company has verified talking to her and she knows she is incorrect but keeps on going. Her email states call the office to pay a bill, but if i call shes filing some harassment order. Please stay far away from this place !!! read more

Brandy has been an amazing therapist and is a trusted advisor. She changed the course of our family's day to day life and we are most grateful. After conducting research on counseling facilities in the A.A. county I was pleased to find Remedy Counseling. I had been anticipating my appointment with Ms. Nina Routhier for months as I had to wait on their waiting list to for an appointment. Granite I was emailed the Intake forms in advance. I was not able to to complete them before my 11am appointment. I arrived at my appointment exactly at 11am. There was no one at the front desk. Ms Nina then came out of her office and told me that I was supposed to be there at 10:45am & that it was listed in the email that was sent to be prior. I then explained to Ms. Nina that was not stated in the email, but Ms. Nina didn't believe me. I then asked her if I can quickly try to fill out the intake forms, and she told me "No, they are pretty long. I also have another client & there is a $75 fee to reschedule." I then let her know there will be no need to reschedule then left her facility. I have no idea why Ms. Nina and I couldn't have gotten at least the hour worth of the appointment. I feel Ms. Nina lacked compassion and empathy and did not try to work with me at all. Her being a counselor I was completely shocked by that. I will not be returning to this facility. read more

This woman scarred me, I was a teenager who needed help and hope, and she made me believe that I was broken, that all I was, was an object that needed to be fixed. She destroyed my relationship with my mother, made me feel like anytime I wanted to say I love you to someone, it had to be taken back, and she didn't care about anything personal that I was struggling with- all she cared about were my issues. I wanted someone to talk to and instead I got diagnosed with ODD and told over and over "it doesn't matter if you don't like it, it only matters that you don't do what you're supposed to and if you don't then there are consequences." She convinced my mother to put a latch on my door to lock me out of my bedroom, and she told me that I didn't deserve to have a safe space until I behaved. I still have nightmares, flashbacks, panic and anxiety attacks, and permanent damage/trauma to my mind because of her. I talk about it with my current therapist sometimes but she also made me feel like nothing I said or did ever mattered or was good enough so half the time I don't even know how to open up. My experience with her was soul-breaking and I would never wish her on anyone, not even my worst enemy. If I could give zero stars i would. I hope Brandy Mobin rots in hell. read more

This is a bariatric patient's nightmare!! I was getting weight loss surgery and was on a roll with getting my numerous appointments out the way early and this was my last one. I had my appointment in early April and the meeting was about an hour. Bandy was nice but I felt she was just going through a checklist of questions, and we didn't have much of the conversation I thought we would have, which is fine. We got through the session and my approval was sent to my surgeon the next day. I felt relieved and just need to wait until surgery day. Later in the month I got a charge of $250 on my credit card and I was shocked. I know she takes my insurance and she a preferred specialist on the BCBS website so I should have only been charged a $40 copay. I reached out to Brandy, and she advised that I go through my insurance to get reimbursed because she claimed that she can't give me a diagnosis or procedure code because I didn't have a mental illness. Ok, no problem, I reached out to insurance. They tell me there was no claim submitted and to reach back out to her and get the codes. So, I did and explained to Brandy that the insurance needs this info for me to get reimbursed. She again told me that her license doesn't allow her to diagnose. I find that hard to believe but it doesn't change the fact that she never went through my insurance and charged me full price for a service that I know is covered. I was tired of going back and forth with her because it was clear I wasn't getting a refund, so I let it go. BCBS, however, felt differently and launched in investigation about my money. Based on an email exchange, they advised her of the codes she need to use in my particular case so I would be charged accordingly. I guess Brandy felt a type of way about it because she retracted her evaluation literally 2 WEEKS before my surgery in June!! I'm livid at this point but thank goodness I was about to find someone on such short notice. However, when I reached out to Brandy and asked what the issue was, especially since we haven't spoked in a few weeks at this point, she went on to tell me that since I filed a complaint with insurance, I couldn't use her eval. I'm confused because I DIDN'T file a complaint. I went through insurance as SHE suggested, and they took it upon themselves to research further. What made me even more mad is that she assumed I looked codes up online and gave BCBS the codes to use. That doesn't even make sense seeing that THEY ARE THE INSURANCE COMPANY!! After a few more words with Brandy, she said she would resend her eval to my surgeon if I retract my complaint. I refused her service and now am writing this review. PLEASE don't use her if you need bariatric clearance. I can't speak for her other services but if you need bariatric clearance this is not the place for you!! read more

The counselors at remedy are really good at their jobs and are very in tune with their clients

Brandie has been my therapist for almost 4 years now and she has been nothing but amazing and caring. She and the rest of the staff work diligently in order to make the best work environment that is positive for all of the patients. Not only is it her personal practice but she offers a variety of types of therapy that works for all forms of patients regardless of age, gender or diagnosis. I wouldn't be who I am without her and I never plan to stop seeing her. read more

I don't usually write reviews but the owner of this office is so beyond arrogant and crazy. I wish I read these reviews prior because they are here for a reason. The owner told me I was late and a no show for 2 of my appointments.....online appointments. The first time I'd never done it before and had a hard time, so I was 5 minutes late. The second time the lady was late! I waited and ended up disconnecting!! She says she joined in on meeting, meaning she was at least 15 minutes late herself which is when I disconnected!! To top it off she's still demanding for me to pay for the second appointment claiming I missed it!!! I don't reccomend anyone to this place. read more

This is her standard response, I've read on other reviews. This has nothing to do with "breach of policies" and everything to do with a self righteous business woman, who is dancing around the facts as if we have done anything to warrant being discharged. We cancelled ONE appt 2 months ago (within the 24 hr time frame), were given MISINFORMATION for our FIRST telemed appt and our 11 yr old daughter forgot ONE telemedicine appt, which her father called the office as soon as they realized it within one hour of the appt (which we take full responsibility for). NOT grounds for discharge!! Not to mention, we were allowed to make another appt AFTER the decision to discharge, maybe they wanted us to do the same thing they did and sit on the telemed appt, only for someone to not show. Seems a bit childish but I see what you did there. Only we couldn't charge the $99.75 missed appt fee that they were so quick to take from my card on file!! To sum it up, this is not about the money, it's the principle of a poorly run establishment. read more

Remedy Counseling is great, I have been going there for almost 3 years now and have always been treated with respect and compassion. I am not sure what the other review was about regarding forms, but they have always had my paperwork ready to be signed when I arrived and it was not treated as something more important them the counseling session. I have had letters for my Primary Care Physician prepared for me as well. When my insurance changed the process was easy and of no burden to me. But what is most important is the care and atmosphere of the counseling session. Brandy and the her colleagues have been exceptional. And the receptionists (whose names I can never remember) are always nice and pleasant to talk to. I had an appointment with this office in April and gave the office my insurance information and debit card for the copay prior to the appointment. A week after the appointment the office charged my card $100 for a no show fee for an appointment that I never made without notifying me. I had to reach out to the owner explaining that she scheduled me wrong to get the administrative staff to refund me. I was refunded. In August I was contacted again saying that my insurance was inactive and I would have to pay another $150 out of pocket. I called them and gave them my insurance information again. In September they contacted me again saying that my insurance was inactive and I would have to pay OOP. I called my insurance and they called the office with me on the phone and said that they have never received a bill from the office and they overcharged me for my copay. So whoever did the benefits did them incorrectly. In October they contacted me saying I have to pay almost $100. I contacted my insurance again who said that I do not have a deductible and they still haven't billed it. Every time they have an issue they try to just charge my card instead of sending out an actual bill. I did not list my card for future charges. I worked in billing at AAMC for over four years and we would NEVER just charge someone without notifying them and we call insurance providers to try to solve issues. I feel like I am being harassed and am have contacted my bank and asked them to ban any charges from this office as well as canceled my debit card. Remedy counseling is an extremely unprofessionally run organization. While John was extremely helpful and kind, Brandy was terrible. In our experiences with her she was curt, unhelpful, and very rude. I would strongly recommend seeking assistance with another provider. I was and still am looking for a therapist to help my 12 yr old son. He had recently been through a traumatic and potentially life changing experience. I found Ms. Mobin through my insurance. I made his appointment 1 month from that present time by speaking with her administrative assistant. The week before my appointment I needed to cancel and reschedule which I did. When finally the day comes I make contact to proceed but I'm told there is no scheduled appointment. I understand mistakes happen, mix ups happen. That is life and I get it. The issue is before these appointments I personally emailed Ms. Mobin and told her what happened to my son. She initially responded and expressed concern and the desire to help. And after this "broken" appt. I expected that as a business professional in the service of helping people emotionally and mentally, why not reach out and work to find a solution. This shows not only unprofessionalism but also a disconnect from her purpose. I wish things happened differently. But everything can be fixed and I am hopeful for that. read more

This business is a joke. The owner Brandy mobin is a horribly rude person and discharged me because she has no clue how to schedule! In short she claimed I missed numerous appointments . She would constantly email me and didn't even know who she was emailing a number of times. I had to correct her repeatedly . If you can't keep an email organized how can you run a business! After I found out from another patient who recently was being scammed by her through his insurance I did a little research with my insurance company. She charged me for various appointments in which I didn't even have an appointment on such days. When I tried to call her she rudly emailed me to leave her alone. I have seen so many negative reviews about her I wish I used this prior to wasting my time.
