The staff was super cool and very very friendly so I appreciate that they do everything in house because it's a distillery but they have some very creative drinks. If you want to go and sit outside, that's a good spot to be in because there's plenty of space out there. They have a patio out there as well that is very easy to chill at. Overall I don't really have any complaints. The menu isn't huge but it's enough to get you over. If you're passing it, I would definitely say it'd be a good time to try.

Found this by accident on Yelp and thought we'd check it out since we are new to the area. Went on…read morea Saturday after 2ish and there was one other couple besides us and our adult kids. It's a very large building (a industrialize feel) with what feels like multiple rooms (one room connected to main room has a stage) with quite a large open air patio with high top tables and patio furniture with padding and tables. Inside has tables, a HUGE Projection TV on the wall, a long belly-up to the bar, also a private room (The Legacy Room) for private events. It also has a store inside selling the spirits the distillery makes (which by the way is made on site). We loved the laid back feel and wide openness of the building. We were told that once a month they have line dancing/swing dancing and hire two instructors to teach. The music isn't live to continue dancing and practicing what you learn. Apparently the first night had about 60-70 people. They clear the entire floor of tables so there is plenty of room to quick up your heels. However there is a $10 cover charge. Sorry I didn't take a pic of the flyer on the door so you'll have to call and ask what night it happens but I believe it's a Friday night and right now once a month. As it gets popular, we were told maybe twice a month. They offer tables games and cards to play while tasting their Bourbon, Gin, Vodka, Tequila and mixed drinks they sell. Our guys tried a flight for $25 with generous pours. Most they liked, some not so much, but would like to go back and try their Old Fashioned. There is a very long ramp for accessible access or stairs whichever is needed. Ample parking but I'm sure on those nights when line dancing is taught it could get full. The bathrooms are gender neutral as seen in the picture. The guy behind the bar was very nice and shared lots of info on their spirits production. It was nice to have a bowl of saltine crackers but they were stale. I guess it doesn't matter because they are most likely to use when taste testing. We will be back!

She was fantastic and explained the tasting process and all that there was to offer. The tasting is $7 and you get to pick 8 things to taste. They give you a dry & erase pen to mark them. Then, they are put in a super cute board and she labeled them with what each were. There are whiskeys, vodkas, and moonshines. They also have beer on tap and cocktails that they make using their own products. Cool place to just come and chill. The retail space offers a variety of merch, as well as jams, jellies, sauces, etc. They only had limited clearance tees. The building was an 1893 cotton warehouse still with the original roof so it may throw you off a bit. However, when you enter "The Hive", it's gorgeous and welcoming! We were there on a Friday night and were joined by the friendliest locals we've ever met! The bar was packed and we all had the opportunity to share stories and laughter until closing! The owners Mark & Jennifer are so open and inviting you can't help but settle in and feel comfortable! Cheyanne was our bartender and boy can she mix some fun and creative cocktails! From the New Fashioned to the Screaming Cicada, she has definitely mastered her craft! The whiskey and bourbon Mark is crafting is unique and delicious. With his wife's passion for everything bee's, the added honey influence is very pleasing to the palate! To date, they have named and dedicated two whiskies to the men and women who have served this country by sea and by land, Sea Duty and Sword and Saber. The third, for those who have served by air, will be released early next year. It has also been their goal to provide a space for folks to gather, meet their neighbors, and enjoy life. The Hive Pub, which is part of the distillery offers seasonal cocktails, mocktails, and an assortment of other beverages. The pub hosts a number of events from a monthly supper club that highlights the talents of local chefs, to music festivals and parties. Finally, their other passion lies in helping to provide habitat and food to those that help feed us, pollinators. We had the Mountain Lemonade and it was very good. Ended up purchasing a bottle of Winter Cherry Mountain Liqueur and have had several Cherry Cokes made with it and they taste just like a Cherry Coke, but sneaks up on you quickly. Definitely want to go back again. The owners are delightful and friendly and knowledgeable.
