She delivered my first baby 2021 and she will be delivering my second child this year as well 2022 at El Camino Hospital (health). To book an appointment with Dr. Debra (OBGYN) is getting harder and harder as time goes by towards…read morethe end of my pregnancy. First I could not get an appointment with her but her nurse partitioner or her colleague one week before my due day, as I was told that she was all booked during that week. Indeed, when I saw her three weeks before my due day, she mentioned that she did have several available time slots for that week, she did not know why the reception told me she is all booked up! For my past Patrum appointment, she first canceled my appointment due to an emergency which is understandable, but instead of rescheduling appointment with her in a timely manner, the reception informed me an timely appointment (within 1 week) is only available with her nurse practitioner or I can book an appointment with her after TWO MONTHS!!! I have no choice but to go ahead with an appointment with her nurse practitioner who has not seen me once before. I was notified of the change about my appointment within only 30 mins of my appointment which has created a lot of trouble for a new mom. Last, on the rescheduled appointment day, she postponed my appointment time by 30 mins again. The unorganized booking system here brings me a lot of trouble in both physical and mental levels. I would never come back to this provider in the future.

If you happen to have Serena for appointment, run away fast !!!!! My first gynecologist appointment…read morewas with Serena and it has been the worst experience ever. It was so bad to a point that I decided I will never use Sutter health in future. She refused to answer any of my questions. For example, the reason I did gynecologist visit is because I had unusual Vaginal bleeding (not during period). When I ask Serena what can cause this unusual vaginal bleeding, she does not give any potential root causes but saying: "this bleeding is normal, you never had it before is because now you become older, when people become older, their body changes". At the time I was 28 years old... Besides, after she realized I never had Pap smear, she got my agreement to do one, but turned out to be she collected my Endocervical sample and use it for STD testing????? Finally I had to make another appointment with a doctor in Stanford health care and got true advises and true Pap smear from the doctor.

I did pap smear several times by other doctors previously, everything goes well. However, this time…read morewith Serena, she was not glad to answer my any questions, no patience. After pap smear, when I walked out the hospital, so painful! Just like dysmenorrhea which lasts 1 hour, I even can't stand, just sit there for One hour. Then when I went to restroom found also bleeding. This is the most terrible experienced that I hace so far. Not recommend her.

Reneged on her quote back in 2012: "Here is the information…read moreyou are requesting regarding an estimate for the elective procedure to treat sebaceous hyperplasia on your face. As you know, it is a non-covered treatment by your insurance and this is simply an estimate of the costs. The diagnosis ICD9 code is 706.9 The CPT procedure code is 17110C The cost for destruction of 1-5 lesions is $100 and for each additional 1-5 lesions it is $100. However, I originally quoted you 1-10 lesions which I will grant you this one time only. For example, if you decide to treat 20 lesions it would cost $200. Any future visits will be charged per 1-5 lesions for $100, thus removal of 10 lesions would be $200. " I was double charged. Ended up paying $100 twice. $200 for 10 lesions.

No apology or "thanks for waiting". During the appointment she seemed cold and a bit awkward. There was a small knat in the room and she kept trying to swat it while I was talking...giving me the impression that she wasn't listening. Pretty unprofessional. She asked me a bunch of questions; I felt like I repeated some things more than once (did she not hear me the first time?). At the end of it she basically said, "I don't really know" and said she could prescribe me a corticosteroid if I wanted it to see if it would work. Great. Thanks. I also had a secondary question about a skin problem on my toe, and right away she said "Oh you need to do to podiatry for that." She didn't even LOOK at my toe before saying that, and she didn't even offer to try and take a look at it. I'm pretty sure it was a bacterial skin infection, which I'm fairly confident any decent dermatologist would be able to diagnose. The fact that she didn't even offer to look at it was highly irritating. Thank you for wasted time and money. 0 stars if I could.
