The Olde Mill House Shoppes is two different buildings - the old stone house and an old barn - that have a wide selection of stuff that women love to shop like rugs, furniture, lighting, home decor, kitchen gadgets, pantry items, women's clothing and accessories. They also have a floral department that I think makes wreaths. My favorite part of the shoppes was the old stone house. Aside from admiring the lovely architecture I enjoyed looked at kitchen gadgets, kitchen decor, pantry items like bread mixes and such. I loved the creek of the floors too. It was a very charming experience. A lot of the furniture was definitely in the Shaker and colonial styles. The lighting section was amazing. Lots of early American inspired design lighting. I wasn't in the market for lighting so I moved on to other things. The rug section was fun to peruse. I saw they sold one of my favorite brands - Dash and Albert. They also had a lot of braided rugs. Regarding the clothing section in the refurbished barn, it wasn't really my style but it seemed like there were some regular customer in there having an absolute ball shopping for some new outfits. It kind of reminded me of the fun, comfy and colorful styles you might find at Chico's. Aside from the above, there was plenty more to look at like some linens, wall art, candles, etc. Overall, this was a fun place to explore and a great place to stop in while in Lancaster County.

Unfortunately, as much as I tried they fell flat for me. I feel like it's someone's unorganized storage of ebay listings...and it could very well be. I don't think they know what they have in there and nothing appears to have any kind of organization with the exception of Christmas and artwork. I found a piece of artwork I did like, but was deferred by the prices (ebay prices, higher than thrift, more in line with an antique store) and the fact that it was stored so unresponsibly that it was damaged. I was greeted upon entry, so the staff (owners? who sit in a little room off the entrance door) were friendly. Everything else was a miss, from the lack of cleanliness, high prices, weird configuration of the parking, weak floorboards upstairs, and just the fact that the majority of what they sell is high for item and condition. Most items did have condition issues, with the exception of some newer (Target?) items on the first floor which were priced at retail. I suspect they came from a pallet purchase. If you're looking for deals there's much better places in the area.

One vendor has essentially built a scrapbook and craft store in the basement, and there were some small fresh baked pies in the front of the store. I stopped in to restock my supply of paper goods, including guest towels, cocktail & dinner napkins, and disposable plates. Home Goods always has a wide selection. The Home Goods staff here is always friendly and helpful. I did check out the greatly reduced clearance section, but didn't see anything I wanted or needed. You can expect great value and an affordable selection at Home Goods.

Ollie's stores are a ton of fun as you never know what you're going to find. This store though is…read morereally lagging behind many of the others in the area such as Cressona (Former Ames) and Hazleton (Former Value City) due to the buildings size and condition. Previously, a W. T. Grant store was at one point located here before Ollie's. No changes to the exterior of this store have happened, but in the last few years the interior was changed. Ollie's is trying to stock too many items in this store for its size, as it's hard to move around due to narrow aisles. The roof of the store also appears to be in poor condition, as many of the ceiling tiles have major water damage or have been removed. Stock is not the issue at this store, as per most Ollie's, they have an interesting selection of all different things. As usual, if you're buying food and certain other products, watch the expiration dates. Ollie's should look for better space, as this store is no longer a great shopping experience, but aside from the mall I'm not sure they could find any in this area.

I am very impressed that this precious store is in this quaint small college (Bucknell) town. The store has more of an urban sophistication and with a compilation of authentic elements. The store prices are reasonable. The jewelry pieces range from $30 -$200, dependng on the intricate detailing and the piece. Once you walk into the store you have a subtle olfactory aroma that makes your shopping experience a pleasure. The original pieces are wonderful and stand out. I love that the not-so-well know yet, up and coming jewelry makers have pieces that are not cookie cuter pieces. I purchased an original piece by Robin Goodfellow, from Michigan, that I have been eyeing for awhile. Love her simple yet unique jewelry, especially the necklaces. Will definitely be back here again.
