Remington runs rebates then scams people out of Thier owed money.Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!

I spoke with Jeff in Parts and asked him if Remington has found an overall case length that they like in their 300 SAUM. He said yes, we like SAAMI specs. I have been dealing with Remington Arms on Gun model #722 and how they completely destroyed it. The gun was in like new condition. I saw a television program on Remington's Arms safety issue and went to there WEB site to see if I had a gun on there FACTORY RECALL site and it was. I originally sent it to them to have the Safety upgraded and when I got it back the trigger was relocated to the very back of the trigger guard and was out of position by more than one or two inches and they cut metal from the gun to install the safety and did not re-blue the cut area. I sent Remington an e-mail telling them about the situation and they e-mailed me back and said the GUN WAS IN SPECIFICATIONS AND THEY NEVER CUT ANY METAL FROM THE GUN. I had to e-mail the Better Business Bureau for help and finally Remington contacted me direct. I spoke with Mr. Scott Nichols with Remington Arms at PH: 315-895-3481 and he offered me any gun from there WEB site www.remington.com and the gun I wanted Model 700, Tactical Chassis in .338 Mag. and was in the price range of approx. $3500.00. Mr. Nichols was ok with this choice. I then asked if I could have two guns instead of the one I chose, for the two guns to gather where at about the same price as the original gun I chose. The two guns model numbers where a R25 in .308 cal. and a R15 in .233 cal. and Mr. Nichols was ok with this choice. I also asked Mr. Nichols to install after market trigger in both of them, I asked they install Geissele Triggers and Mr. Nichols was to have this done. When it came time to make the trade, my gun for the guns Remington offered this is what happened. Remington wanted me to send in my gun to them first and this was not acceptable. I was asked to talk with Remington Lawyer Mrs. Loren Coe. I called and spoke with Remington's Lawyer (At there E-Mail request) Loren Coe (No for sure of the spelling, she never gave me her e-mail address) at PH: 336-548-8513 . Mrs. Coe advised that if we can agree on the original two guns we can move the deal forward and get this completed. I agreed with her on the original two guns with Geisselle Triggers (Geisselle Triggers are after market triggers) and all we have to do now is make the exchange. I asked they send the guns to a local gun shop called Snap Shot, where I could give them my gun (Snap Shot can UPS gun to Remington) and I could pick up the two guns replacements from Remington. I wanted to do it this way for Remington has not been honest with me from the first. Mrs. Coe said she would not do it this way and demanded that I first send in my gun to Remington and then they would send the new guns to Snap Shot for me to pick them up. I then asked if Scott or herself could sent me an e-mail stating what they wanted me to do and she would not do this. She advised it has to be VERBAL ONLY. I asked they send me a e-mail with a description of the two guns they are to give me to replace my gun. She would not do this, she advised it has to be VERBAL ONLY. I asked if there was any thing else they could offer to me and she said she could send me a check for $500.00 and I send my gun to them. I feel Remington is going to get my gun back and not follow through with the original two gun deal, I think there intent has always been to give the $500.00 only and blow me off. Remington has lied to me many times (Almost every call they had something to lye about) and has proven not to be trust worthy and all I ask is proof (A e-mail advising of the guns serial numbers I will get and when.) that I will get the two gun deal as agreed upon. I NEED SOME KIND OF GUARANTEE FROM REMINGTON THAT I WILL GET WHAT THEY HAVE PROMISED. Mrs. Coe also advised that there web site has been changed so my gun does not show as a factory warranty return. This web site has also blocked the other guns I may need to return on factory warranty. As of a few days ago, the gun in question does not show up as a warranty return. Mrs. Coe also advised that I was being difficult with them in resolving this issue and this is why she is demanding I do it there way ONLY. I advised her the only thing I asked for and really demanded is they install the Geissele after market triggers, due to the Remington Arms trigger being defective. Everything else was offered to me by Remington. Mrs. Coe also advised that all communications had to be recorder due to the law suites they are in now and they would NEVER use retractable e-mails. What is a Retractable e-mail, when Remington sent me a e-mail on this issue and you reply to it, there is no recorded of the message in the sent file or anywhere. It is a self deleting e-mail so there is no record of there communications. Do you have any suggestions on how I should proceed with getting Remington to honor there word and send me the guns they promised? Gary read more
