I do most of my own guitar work but was up against a problem I could not solve. I had heard good things about the service department so I gave them a try. It took over a week for them to get to it( they said he was backed up) but a quick call and he asked what my issue was I explained it and he found it. Remix Music - I was having an issue with the trem on this PRS - Musical Instrument Services Near Me - Springdale, Arkansas

I've brought in two guitars to be serviced at Remix, both came back with problems. The first guitar was a standard Strat that I am not much attached to. It came back missing two pick guard screws. I didn't see this as a huge issue and moved on. I then entrusted Remix Music with a very rare and priceless guitar for routine work. When I picked it up, there was clear, obvious damage to both the pickguard and the neck pickup that was not present when I dropped it off. No one mentioned the damage when I picked the guitar up, and the staff acted as if nothing was wrong. The damage was immediately noticeable. It's difficult to believe it went unnoticed by the people who worked on the instrument. Only after I pointed it out did they respond--and instead of taking responsibility or offering to repair the damage they caused, they offered a discount on the setup. What makes this worse is that the damage appears to be the result of cutting corners. It's consistent with attempting to adjust the truss rod without removing the pickguard and neck pickup, which is an unprofessional and careless shortcut--especially on a valuable instrument. To be clear, Remix music caused around $160 worth of damage and offered a 'discount' on the cost of the setup. They did not offer to fix the damage they caused, nor did they offer to cover the cost of the parts I now have to replace. Only after pushing back on them did they offer to waive the service fees. Thankfully, the good folks at Fender have been extremely helpful in sourcing these parts for me, but I am appalled nonetheless at how Remix has conducted themselves in this matter. If you care about your instrument and expect careful, honest work, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. good customer service but I went here for band instrument (woodwind) accessories because they are listed as a feeder store on the Music And Arts website. I went to check it out and there was little to no reeds or band accessories in general. The inside of the store was also very disorganized and messy I felt like I couldn't walk around the store without walking into a pile of mess. Wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for wind instrument supplies. read more

I've been in here multiple times through the last few months as I've gotten into the guitar and bought my first few pedals from here and everyone who works here is so nice and welcoming... except one guy. I came into look at some pedals for a new guitar I had ordered online but didn't have yet but they were out of the main one I came in for so I wandered around looking at all the guitars and amps. I saw a guitar similar to the one I had ordered and I was so excited for it I couldn't help but grab it and play it and see how it feels. The main guitar tech was in the same room working on something and he politely said "you can plug that into an amp if you want it sounds better that way" I didn't want to be in there too long so I just said oh it's fine I got one of these on the way just wanted to mess with it for a second and then he got annoyed and said "so you ordered one online and came into my shop just to play around on mine? Way to support small businesses man. Really good job supporting small businesses" it felt like I was just stabbed in the chest he just sucked all of the joy out of me so I sat there silently for a second hung the guitar back up and walked out. As a college student working part time I have to look for good deals and it was extremely unprofessional to try to make me feel guilty cause I found a better deal online and was still willing to buy other things such as an amp from here. i want to preface this review by saying every other Remix employee i have interacted with in my 3 visits have been knowledgeable and friendly. Andy the "Floyd Rose master" is the exception to this. for context, i got a preowned guitar with a floyd rose FRX in October '23, the floyd and guitar felt great, wanted to take it somewhere for new strings and a setup. was recommended by a friend to try Remix Music, so i brought it in and payed $113 for a setup in November. got home and noticed the floyd felt much more stiff/less fluid and would not return to its original position after the trem arm is pushed down. i should have brought this to their attention much sooner, but didn't have the time to commute back to Springdale until now as i live 2 hours away. called Remix and they said to bring it back in to see if it's a quick fix, but if it's not a quick fix and a full setup is required, i will need to pay for another full setup since 4 months had passed since the setup was done. that was fine with me, so i took it back by to see if it'd be a quick fix. had my buddy just take a look at it before i went, not do anything to it, and he thought maybe a "return spring" was either messed up or missing. i told Andy that was my friends diagnosis of it because i have no knowledge of Floyd Roses. when i sat down he had a bad attitude to begin with. he swears he didn't take a screw off (and maybe he didn't, i still don't know what the root cause is). he proceeds to tell me there's nothing he can do for it at this time & refuses the possibility that something he may have done during the setup is causing the current issue. THEN he looks me in my eyes and says "i'm going to be honest with you, this guitar is a piece of s***. the floyd rose costs more than the guitar itself." he asks me how much i paid for it, i told him, and he was baffled. he blames the issue on the floyd rose and guitar being preowned before i got it. even though it played great before i brought it into Remix for a setup. at this point i'm trying to keep my cool, thanked him for taking time to look at it, and left. as i'm driving back, Andy calls me and blames his horrible attitude on "a bunch of sinus medication he's on right now" and "we all have those days," and i told him that was very unprofessional and i will take my business elsewhere. he said if i can find the spring needed and take it back he'll try to make it right. why would i come back to a shop that just insulted me after paying them a service? It's crazy to me that Andy realized what he had done after i left and immediately called to apologize. if you can't control yourself any better than that you don't need to be working directly with the public. if Andy would've just left it at "i can't do anything about it without the screw," i would've been fine and accepted my loss. i've never had someone be so blatantly disrespectful to my face. don't take your electric gear here for servicing. read more
