I recently visited Orlando and as is my habit, I visit a record shop if city has one or close proximity, thus finding this joint. The wall had several records I had been in search of for some time but I passed up on one of them and regret doing so simply because of a negligible defect in the cover. The shelves and crates were efficiently organized making it easy to thumb through the store's inventory. I grew up with my father playing vinyl classics, like Michael Jackson's Thriller, Off the Wall, Lionel Richie, James Brown, and countless others. It has always been a goal of mine to purchase my own record player, and re-purchase all the albums I remember from my childhood in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. After discovering this amazing record store, I figured I would finally open up my wallet and purchase a turntable and start this expensive hobby lol. I will say out of the few stores that I've been to, Remix has had the best prices, I have been able to find some of the albums I remember from my childhood. There are a ton of gems in their $2 and $5 bins and good selection of new music as well. They have a large selection of rock, electric, house, and jazz. I wish they had a larger Hip-hop or R&B selection but I would probably spend way too much money then. There are two listening stations for you to enjoy in-store. All and all, I really like this store and will probably visit at least once a week. read more

Wow!!! True Orlando Grown business right here and you've got to check it out. Remix is a joint venture between a former Vinyl Frontier music master Cliff T. Along with his friend that "remixes" and repurposes furniture they bring us REMIX the Store. Remix is right in he heart of Mills/50 area and what a great addition it is this eclectic local area. I had no problem finding street parking and the signage is pretty easy to find he location. I was so excited to be heading into a record store after all of the stores specializing in house/breakbeat/progressive/trance AND has an outstanding retro collection as well (did I mention I found an original Michael Jackson "Thriller" and the soundtrack to BREAKIN' the movie?!?!) So, the records are outstanding. I found some old school gems that I wanted since the early 1990's but could never find. Cliff is a freaking encyclopedia of house music so get ready to try to stump him. But let's not forget about the vintage remixes... The collection of vintage purses will make any handbag lover drool in delight. The repurposed red dresser with black iron bull heads for handles.....yes please I think I will. Oh man and bear painting on black velvet....well, that will be hanging in my house by the time you read this!! The prices are what totally blow me away. They've got records that sell on discdogs for $50 priced at $10 and most are far far less than that. The same with the vintage and repurposed stuff....totally reasonable. I guess it's opposite of your typical vintage shopping experience where you pick something up and pray to god you don't break it after you see the price tag. Instead of running in shock, I was running to buy more stuff. Love this place. Big props to these guys not only for making more Orlando grown local biz but also for making this awesome place a store where you can't help like feeling that you were really well taken care of. No hey there are you looking for anything specific or if you have any questions let us know. Basically just stood behind the counter and the only real interaction was when I brought my items up to the counter to pay for them. Hands down one of the coolest specialty shops I have ever shopped at. Felt like a kid in a candy store!

This is a great little record and consignment store. I wasn't aware of its existence until I saw some great reviews by friends on Yelp. One of the owners immediately greeted us and told us we could test out any of the records on the record player. There are plenty of record bins that are neatly organized. They include 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, folk, jazz, hip hop, dance, electronic and much more! There is even a dollar bin that I spent some time looking through. While flipping through these records I noticed a familiar album cover and count believe it was in this bin. I ended up scoring big brother and the holding company! FOR ONE DOLLAR! I asked the owner if he had any other Janis Joplin albums and he said he was pretty sure he did and told me where to look. I had my fingers crossed I would find the Pearl album and there it was in the 60's bin for five dollars! I was ecstatic, normally this record is $25 every where else. The owner could tell how excited I was and said he was glad how happy the records had made me, he is so nice! I also snagged an Emerson, Lake, and Palmer record for $3.00 and my fiancé got some acapella and instrumental CDs for DJ-ing for $2.00 a piece. This shop is great! Awesome vintage record store! Loved the selection a lot of soul albums which is what we were looking for. The staff was very friendly and helpful and there was a dog inside which makes it 1 million times better than any other store ever. Upon entry I noticed that there was hand sanitizer available for customers as well as masks if any customer forgot to bring theirs to wear. I appreciate their commitment to customer safety. They also had Apple Pay and Samsung pay (I believe) available. Which means a touchless payment system which is also great! Great store definitely worth your time! read more

This is now my favorite record shop, it's amazing! Awesome selection, both across genres and within their dollar crates. Nate is very helpful, knowledgeable, and you can tell has a passion for music and records alike. I'm new to records and he was very welcoming to the hobby. I was nervous that going to record stores as a newbie would immediately get me scolded and chastised, but none of that happened. Now I don't want people to think this is a terrible shop, it's not. (I know, I gave two stars.) I didn't feel like they had much selection. The day I went in, I found out they were having an event later that night. The space was so small, and the people that showed up just talked with themselves, weren't friendly. I talked with the woman that invited me, but ran out of things to say. I wanted to just throw my drink down and leave, but I threw it out instead, and just slipped out the back. I know, not all of that was their fault, but I wouldn't say all of that was a good experience, hence my rating. read more

I wish I had come to this record store first. I went to several other record stores before coming to this one and by the time I got here I was exhausted from crate digging. But I did spend some time looking through what they had and I was very impressed. Great selection. Wide variety. Very well-kept and organized. Excellent condition on everything I looked at. Including numerous one dollar bins below the counter which are a little hard on the knees to get to, but for a dollar there are some real gems down there. Other prices seem to very reasonable. Most of the vinyl was used, priced from about five or six dollars up. New Vinyl was a little more of course but not as high as it's been at any of the other record stores I've been to today in the area. I will definitely be back to this one!! read more

Super cute resale store in the Mills50 area. You could think of it primarily as a record store as they do have a wide variety of well-organized albums (which you can listen to on one of their turntables before purchasing), but there's a little bit of everything, including repurposed furniture, kitschy artwork, vintage handbags and jewelry. Visited this store while I was in Orlando. Small, clean and very well organized. They had a good stock of old records ranging in all price ranges. It seemed to me that even their records that were three to five dollars were very clean. Nate was running the store and was very helpful and really knew his business. Now if u go, some of the old vinyl will seem expensive but their conditions are outstanding. If u feel a price is high, ask Nate and he will explain why and attempt to find u the same album a little cheaper. I bought 4-5 records and spent 27 dollars. As any old vinyl store it is hit or miss if u r after things like the doors, the dead etc. I will visit this store again in the future. read more

Found out about Remix through reading Bungalower. Really cool spot near BART in the Mills-50 district. Park Ave CDs needs to look put. Remix has a TON of great used vinyl, for amazing prices, and almost in mint condition. They also have really beautiful vintage furniture and other vintage finds for very reasonable prices.
