Get ready to spend, cause the options are endless! Although I'd love it even more if they had a bigger selection of latin options, as the ones they had were super rare and top notch. I didn't make any purchases this time cause I found a better price at another vinyl shop (also online stores have a better pricing),but i LOVE that they have all the options and then some. I know I will be returning soon. I also loved that they don't bug you or push you with asking over and over what are you looking for, they just let you be. For someone with anxiety this is pretty important.

    Sooo crowded and overwhelming

Pros: it had a lot of selection. There were records everywhere and I was able to find a record that I hadn't found yet. They offered sanitizer to customers which I appreciate for safety. Cons: there were records everywhere! The isles in the back were filled to the point where you were unable to walk down the aisle, but instead had to shuffle to get squeezed between the display and the boxes in the middle of the aisle. There was stuff all on the walls; little pieces of memorabilia, which is cute, but just adds to the overwhelming energy in the building. There were points where the staff were not wearing masks which was a bit concerning to me as it is tight quarters stuffed to the max already.

Drove all the way from Miami to go check this place out, 100% worth it from the selections, to the very cool vintage Knick knacks everywhere. Everything is organized, awesome finds and Jim makes sure to let you know that everything is basically mint! The quality on these records are near to perfection. Jim also makes sure to give you a warm welcome and you can tell how much he cares about their store. I've been to all sorts of record stores in America I got to say this is definitely in my Top 3.

I checked out this store while in town, one of four in the area that I made the rounds to. The vibe I got was this place is for the super duper serious audiophiles.....or a novice who isn't familiar with market pricing. I say that as 100% my personal take and not as a dig on their business. I'm sure they do well and having been running this store for a considerable amount of time. As others have commented, the pricing is substantial here. I'm prone to drop good money on "grail" records if found in the wild just as much as digging in dollar bins, but competitive pricing on things I've seen in other stores across the country or even online suggests it's pretty expensive to do business here. The adage - "you get what you pay for" is just that - but from my experience their pricing was a turnoff. The store layout was confusing to me as well. To be fair, records are on one side of the store, CD's and the like on the other. But I couldn't find much contemporary music unless I dug through virtually all the bins, and categories like "Indie Rock" for Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, etc. Pop and Dance were also separate, so it wasn't easy tracking things down. Their hip-hop section was expansive, but they mixed in DJ 12"s which made searching more time consuming. To their credit, many and many of the LP's they had were either still sealed in shrink or lightly opened shrink. Generally that's great for collectors. But these records, when found in this shop, had even higher prices that one could reasonably imagine. Gleaning from the decorations and memorabilia they have, these guys live for and love music. I give them props there. Likewise, they do have some great/hard to find in that condition items in their inventory. I didn't find anything to pop on during my visit though. Like any store I visit, I hope for the best. This store was just not congruent for my kind of collector. The pricing is just too prohibitive to doing business. I'd encourage you to find out for yourself, if so inclined.

    Excellent selection of 45s

I have a love/hate relationship with this place. Let me explain. Love: I've been to very few places in my time as a record collector that have a greater collection of near mint rare finds. The selection here is amazing and diverse. Hate: I understand that there's a cost in doing business and that records are cool for the hipsters now so taking advantage of market demand makes sense. However it kills the experience for me when new records are on average $5 cheaper at Park Ave. Most everything in the store isn't priced to sell. I'd love to spend more regularly here but it's just not feasible.

I'm a disco and house head. The pricing was way overpriced and wildly inconsistent. A pity because the selection is awesome.

I decided to give them a try and I'm glad I did. I walked in expecting it to be a little bigger on the inside, but I wasn't disappointed as there was so much inventory to choose from. He has bargain bins starting at two dollars and then five dollars and then a lot of the more regular priced records that start in the teens and go up from there. He also has some items that are clearly collectors editions. He had a numbered copy of the Beatles white album that was priced out at $350. While that was a bit rich for my blood. I actually felt it was pretty reasonable considering what early printings of that album can go for. I spent quite a bit of time going through some five dollar and two dollar choices and compared to other record shops. I've been in these albums are in much better shape at these prices. This is a small business that's owned and operated by a single person. I had an opportunity to talk with the owner Leo for a bit when I was checking out, and even while I was shopping. he is a very friendly and personable person who is very proud of the business that he runs. While he does have this brick and mortar store, he also sells online and has a constantly changing selection. I found some excellent deals in the bargain bins and would love to go back and shop some more one day. This is a very long drive for me so I may check out his online inventory if I can't be in the area. If you like to support small businesses and either enjoy vinyl records or know someone who does you should definitely give this place a chance. In addition to the LP's, he had a selection of 45s, cassettes and music related books. This was my best stop of the day.
