I decided to give them a try and I'm glad I did. I walked in expecting it to be a little bigger on the inside, but I wasn't disappointed as there was so much inventory to choose from. He has bargain bins starting at two dollars and then five dollars and then a lot of the more regular priced records that start in the teens and go up from there. He also has some items that are clearly collectors editions. He had a numbered copy of the Beatles white album that was priced out at $350. While that was a bit rich for my blood. I actually felt it was pretty reasonable considering what early printings of that album can go for. I spent quite a bit of time going through some five dollar and two dollar choices and compared to other record shops. I've been in these albums are in much better shape at these prices. This is a small business that's owned and operated by a single person. I had an opportunity to talk with the owner Leo for a bit when I was checking out, and even while I was shopping. he is a very friendly and personable person who is very proud of the business that he runs. While he does have this brick and mortar store, he also sells online and has a constantly changing selection. I found some excellent deals in the bargain bins and would love to go back and shop some more one day. This is a very long drive for me so I may check out his online inventory if I can't be in the area. If you like to support small businesses and either enjoy vinyl records or know someone who does you should definitely give this place a chance. In addition to the LP's, he had a selection of 45s, cassettes and music related books. This was my best stop of the day.

Triangle Vinyl is a great place to seek out a couple of records and there is something definitely cool about wandering and just flipping through the records. Maybe it is a sign of getting older when you find yourself yearning for the times that you knew in your yesterdays and you find yourself believing those times were the best. Regardless of it being that I am getting older or whatever the case, I found my time here at Triangle Vinyl made me recall those bygone days. Triangle Vinyl is a fantastic business to head towards and spend a bit of time in there. I will give it five stars overall.

I've been coming to Maya Books and Music for years and always find something good when I stop in…read more The store is clean, orderly, and the book sections are clearly displayed; however, it doesn't hurt to ask for help from the owner, she knows where everything is. On my most previous visit I was looking specifically for piano sheet music, and the owner informed me they were upstairs in a basket under the W-X & Y-Z section of Rock CD's, and sure enough, they were exactly where she said they were. Luckily for me I found two books in great condition - Bach Short Preludes and Fugues for the Piano for $3.95 and Bella Bartok Mikrokosmos Piano Solo Vol III for $3.50, great deal! There is also a variety of other instrument sheet music for clarinet, trumpet, guitar, mandolin, and more in this section. They have a great variety of used music CD's and Vinyl's upstairs for sale at a reasonable price. I've purchased CD's from here for $4 and less, but some could be higher if they are rare or brand new in the cellophane wrap. I haven't purchased any Vinyl's but they do have a decent selection. There are also a variety of posters and old collectable magazines here for sale, which is cool. I actually have some of the Guitar Magazine ones they are selling for $25 and more. The owner informed me that she acquired a much larger store in another state and will have a lot more books and other items coming after the New Year, so be sure to stop in and see what they have to offer. Something to note is the owner is not flexible with pricing so I don't recommend trying to get a better price by buying multiple items and talking her down, it just wont work. Another thing is there is really nowhere to sit down to read for a few minutes to see if you want to buy a book your interested in, even if you try, you quickly become crowded in by other shoppers trying to get around you. All-in-all, Maya Books and Music provide a fun shopping experience if you're a book lover and just happen to be in Downtown Sanford Shopping. I highly recommend stopping in to check them out.

I have found some wonderful books here and if you go upstairs you'll find all sorts of records. To me the books are well priced, and the owner is always so so welcoming! Before writing my review I did read some other reviews about people trying to ask for price matching, which honestly I find weird to do with a small book shop (do it to the corporate businesses, not the small shops - but that's just my opinion). I also don't think the owner does price matching or accept any haggling as I did overhear her telling a couple she did not. Anyways a great book shop to visit and if you love to support local shops, this is one to visit and support!
