WORST Towing service EVER! If I could rate ZERO stars I would…read more This is a long and HONEST review. Sometime back in January my car just suddenly died while driving home. So I got my car towed to my home by another company. The driver was extremely careful not to damage my car since it's cold out and that it's lowered. A few days later I made an appointment with the garage and we got THIS towing company though my mother's bank service (TD Bank), to tow the car to the garage. The driver (Samir) seemed to be incompetent as he pushed my car on to the street from my driveway and only attached ONE side of the car and pulled it up on the bed. No blockers were used to prevent damage. I helped steer the car on to the flat bed when I heard the chains snapping and I thought something went wrong. Looking around the car to see if there was any damage from the chains. At first the driver was touching the splitter and I asked if it was damaged, he lied and denied it, and that's when I turned on my flash light and found that he damaged both the splitter and the bumper making a HUGE HOLE in both! I was so upset cause I JUST got my car painted like 2 months ago. I asked the driver "now what" and he said he'd pay for the damages.. Damn right you will! So the next day, I spoke with my body shop guy and he mentioned I'll need a new bumper. I also called THIS towing company and the owner (Patrick) said that he is not responsible for the damages because of their "policy" that if the car is lowered and its cold out its not their fault. Bunch of BS! Nothing is said on the website about this but said he'd call me back to discuss things. I tried to call the owner again but he is started to play games with me. Promises to call but never does and when I call he tells me he is to busy or gets angry and claims he will call me back or just doesn't pick up the phone. So having enough of this we called the TD Bank, since they are the ones who hired them and they said they'd look into it. Two months go by and TD Bank is finished with thier investigation after we gave them an estimate of the cost of the repair so they can discuss it with the towing company... So last week we were told that Mayday will pay for the damages and to call to discuss the money transfer. So we call them and the lady who picks up the phone plays stupid after we explain why we are calling. She says someone will call in 15 min. Of course no one does and we call back 30 min after. Samir picks up the phone and he too plays stupid games with us asking questions like How much the repair is when he fully knows what it will cost and is rather rude. After speaking with him for a while he claims he is afraid that we were going to go after them for more money or that he can fix the car if we bring it to him. Ya I dont think so punk! Then he finally gives in and pays the bill. It's just makes me so furious that these BS towing companies try to get away with something like this. They are fully responsible and if he didn't pay up, I would have demanded the bank cancel their contract with them. I still hope it happens cause I don't play games!

This is a tough review to write - I actually had a great experience with this company (and…read moreparticularly the driver, Bill), but there was one tiny thing that threw it off. First of all, this was who I was dispatched to after calling GM Roadside Assistance when my little blue car blew it's tire. So tragic. I was told the tow truck would be there in 45-70 minutes, so I didn't rush getting over to where is was parked. About 5 minutes after I hung up with roadside they called to tell me they'd be at my car's location in about 15 minutes. This is great if you're looking for fast service, but unfortunately I had to take some time to get there. That being said, Bill was really patient and although he called me about 3 times in the 20 minutes it took me to get there, he was really kind about it when I got there. He even indulged the little guy I look after by putting on the towing lights and letting him watch the whole process - very nice. This guy's truck was immaculate and he was really nice. He explained a lot about the two truck industry (which I've had a distaste for since forever) and how he really takes pride in helping people, and he's not just chasing the next crash. He really seemed to enjoy his job and took pride in what he does, which I loved. So yes, all this was wonderful and he was a pleasure. But... About 15 minutes after I was seated and waiting in the dealership the manager asked me if the tow truck driver had given me my keys. Um...no. I thought he'd given them to the service person he was speaking to. Turns out he forgot to drop them off (which hey, it happens). This probably doesn't mean anything, but it did irritate me since I was already inconvenienced and time is precious. Anyway, he brought them back promptly. Bonus - they offer a VIP roadside assistance card for return clients, or friends of past clients. If I have to suffer the awful inconvenience of needing a tow, I'll definitely be calling these guys.
