Top-Notch Local HVAC Service…read more I recently purchased a 24000 BTU Senville LETO Series Mini Split Air Conditioner Heat Pump for my family in Eagleville, MO, our first ever mini split. I called the guys at Leon Plumbing, Heating & Cooling up, and got a time scheduled on my calendar, just a week away. Bad weather forced a reschedule, but these guys kept to their word and showed up at 9 AM to get the job done. Brandon was the HVAC tech who did the install for us and he did a superb job, working tirelessly from 9 AM to 5:00 PM and completing it that day. He would have had it done sooner, but he had to install a disconnect box and replace a circuit breaker. He made sure to check everything with me first, such as the drilling through the walls, location of the unit and radiator, etc. and also was extremely careful with both my mini split unit and the rest of my house. This wasn't even considering the behavior of Brandon himself. I have not met a more professional, kindhearted, and studious home service professional in my life. He was lively in both his conversation with me as son of the home owner and in his work. He treated the job as if he were working on his own home, taking care to not damage anything and ensuring that the unit worked flawlessly. I also had the pleasure of meeting his boss, Jody, who was equally as kind and respectful as his employees, who also made sure that the job was completed in the proper manner. One final tidbit, we had issues with the condensation from our unit dripping in our house the day following our install. I called Brandon up and within a few seconds he had the issue diagnosed and had given me a solution. To date, it works extremely well. The difference between this company and others in the area is night and day. Prior to this job, when I was first looking for a local HVAC contractor, I called another company, which was in Bethany, MO, by the name of Nelso_ Heating & Electric and they were EXTREMELY RUDE and unwilling to do the job that I needed done, aka just a simple mini split installation. For me, the quality of service is what provided the greatest value in this job. Since we had our own unit, not one provided by Leon H&P, the installation was $150 an hour making our total job cost $1642.21. Would I use them again? Absolutely. Their level of professionalism and the quality of their work in this neck of the woods is remarkable. My family and I plan to have them out again to do some plumbing work for us in the future. Long story short, if you need HVAC or plumbing service done, call these guys. You won't regret it.

This furnace and AC was put in the fall of 2006 in our new home. Three times more than the estimate…read moregiven. Within days we had to have it serviced. This furnace was three years old when it was installed and there was already a Class Action Lawsuit against Carrier for it. The pan was broken... where the AC unit was not drawing properly, it was draining down to our furnace, thus the rust. In the summer time the filters were soaked after one day as it threw water into the motor of the furnace. With in the first year and there after they came several times. Our CO alert kept going off, guess what the rubber tip had been removed and was throwing out CO gas. The CO gas ran down the inside of the panel. Nothing was covered under what we were told was a 10 year warranty, then suddenly turned to 5 years. Some of the bills were up to a $1,000 for them to figure out it was not installed right. The cold air returns were going into a cubby hole, not back to the unit. They drilled a bunch of holes in the unit, never seen that before to try to draw in more air. They took responsibility for NOTHING. We even had other HVAC professionals out, it was time to replace the furnace and AC as this was on the last leg and not worth fixing. As you can understand, they will get no more business from us. I could write a book of the problems with the farm tap not meeting the standards they installed. A drain being put with in a foot of the shower drain... so you would have to walk around stool to get to shower. How MidAmerican Energy had to tell the employee to put out his cigarette when putting in the gas line. The hot water heater went one week past the warranty.

I called several plumbers, and Advantage was the only business that provided us with an estimate of the work's cost. The others all wanted to come see the job, provide a quote, and then we could decide to accept their proposal or send them walking. I wasn't looking for a firm quote; I just wanted an idea. Hugh from Advantage was polite, neat, and very efficient. The total cost was reasonable and lower than we had experienced with other plumbers for comparable work.

I had a great experience with Advantage Plumbing…read more Through Yelp, I requested help for a toilet and shut valve replacement. (The toilet has been having intermittent issues and needs replacement.) They immediately connected with me and offered to come out the same day (but I still had not gotten the new toilet.) We scheduled for the day after, and they were here by the promised time. The team quickly removed their shoes at the front door without being asked (not my general experience with many repair teams) and started working. They finished almost precisely at 90 minutes despite a minor complication. (The basement/toilet drain was not draining well which they augered out.) It was explained to me that it was likely a combination of time and a 20-year-old toilet (which did not generate enough force). Other than minimal dust and grime, they did not leave any bigger messes for me to clean up. They were professional, and their price was well aligned with other companies. They did not sell me on any additional service plans but did guarantee their service for a year. (There is a 4% for credit card transactions.)

Their team initially installed piping incorrectly, which resulted in leaks and required them to return to fix their mistake. Later, we discovered they had also crossed the plumbing lines -- hot water came out of the cold side in both the shower and sink, and the toilet was flushing hot water. Correcting this error required a large hole to be cut into our brand-new drywall. After the finish work was completed, one of their employees called their CFO in front of us to confirm our final balance. Weeks later, we were suddenly told we owed hundreds of dollars more because they claimed I had made some sort of side "deal" with their plumber, which is absolutely false. Throughout the process, they provided multiple estimates and invoices that did not match the final amount they demanded. To make matters worse, they withheld payment to the contractor who repaired the drywall damage caused by their mistake until they received the additional money they claimed we owed. In the end, we were left paying out of pocket to repair damage caused entirely by their team's errors. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution others before hiring this company.
