Fredrick is a snotty little twit who is totally judgmental and should not be the first face you see when you walk in the building. The owner seems like an awesome and understanding guy but gets pushed around by Freddy-poo. Don't show up early at all because Freddy-poo will not be happy and his panties will get all balled up and won't even give you the time of day. Unless you pay him a butt load of money just for a credit check. Who cares if the credit check drops your score!! Even the owner was saying that we could bring our own credit print out, but Freddy-poo was not even having it. Bite me Freddy!!!! read more

I was a tenant for their home on NW J St. We moved in September 1st, 2019. It was still very hot and the A/C did not work. I emailed Frederick. It took over a month to get a response and even then they pushed off replacing the A/C until Spring. Also, within the first month of being there, we were still moving stuff in and started to put unnecessary things in the basement, where we discovered a mound of feces from a busted sewer pipe. We called that in, they had one repair man come out and did not fix the problem, and ended up waiting for a second guy who eventually fixed it. I don't recommend Renaissance Rental Properties and others I have talked to who rent through them do not either. read more

Don't apply here- Don't even waste your money on an application fee. They will email you back and act like they will run your application through and put everyone else's application on hold when literally I applied right after they posted their house. But really, they will be taking other applications and whoever has the highest income and credit score is who they are going to rent their property too. They don't care if you had perfect paying rent with your past places that you have lived at. All the care who makes the most money! Sad, how this world works now and days. They take your application fee but with 40+ other people applying, Only ONE person can rent the house so what is the need leaving it on Zillow for 4+ days so more people can throw away $68. Wasted $68 to be told sorry other numbers are higher than yours! What the heck! If you have so much money and like throwing money away then I guess apply to one of their homes! Be very cautious when renting from this agency. Read the rental contract carefully -- and do not sign it until you have read it. The staff may try to distract you while you're doing this; don't let them do that. You will be signing a contract that allows Renaissance to charge you outrageous fees for everything from changing lightbulbs to nicks and dings in paint, woodwork, etc. Before you sign the lease, go through every room in the house and make note of everything that is dirty, scuffed, smelly, broken, etc. Take photographs. Take notes. Put all of this in your lease agreement. Get the owner -- not the secretary -- to sign that he agrees with your assessment. When your lease is up, expect a long list of charges. Also be prepared to NOT receive your full deposit returned. Finally, check www.doxpop.com under "Court Cases" to see the list of former renters this agency has sued. read more

I would not recommend this property manager to anyone. Staff rude. Maintenance slow. Bugs, rodents, and vermin in property. Always something wrong or breaking down. Do not rent unless you like being treated like crap if so then this might be the place for you. read more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS GUY! He took my entire security deposit based on a fake cleaning deduction. For example $80.00 to clean miniblinds in four rooms (5 windows total). $135 to clean the carpet which had no stains or spills. $100 to repair walls that never had a single thing hung on them. And funny enough the whole cost of repairs was equal to my security deposit. Seems kind of odd right? On top of that the 2 times I have asked for simple things like replacing a deadbolt or getting my A/C to run in July. All of these requests were forwarded to a third party group that was much better at responding than Paul. When he did days later I was always given a sob story and the promise of a repair "soon". I am posting this review just to warn others. In addition, these properties are generally not located in areas of the city I would deem safe. read more

UNFORTUNATELY,I have been with this company for almost 2years and anytime they claim to do work I have asked them to send me pictures for proof and they only send SOME!! They claim they are cheaper because they do the work ..LIES!!! They just charged me $540.00in labor for a little over $100 in parts. There labor charges are ridiculous and they pass the buck onto everyone else when you call to ask information. Our experience with Renaissance Property Management has been excellent from the first time we spoke with Frederick at the office. Frederick talked us through the search and rental process. He was very patient with all of our questions and phone calls. When it came time for us to go out and look at places, Frederick showed us places that fit exactly what we were looking for. In addition, he, Paul, and Sharon have gone above and beyond fabulous customer service to make sure that our move-in day went as smoothly as possible, and that we had all the information we needed to set up our utilities and become familiar with Richmond. We moved in from several states away, and their assistance helped out quite a bit. The town home we rented was clean and in good condition when we arrived into town. They have been very attentive in answering our questions and addressing any fixes that have been needed. We are glad that we chose to use Renaissance to help us locate housing. read more
