The hair and makeup were not great / I was looking for something different. I was communicating about changes I wanted to make and the styles says she doesn't have the right tools to do what I'm looking for (finger waves and plum eye-shadow) and I should have sent pictures ahead of time. I did email and call before the trial and all I was told was to bring my veil. I was never asked for pictures. At the end of the trial the styles asked when my date was and shes she having elective surgery that month, but not to worry it wont be that weekend. My mom and I got really nervous, but were reassured not to worry. Plus they had already confirmed my date months before. I made a second trial date to come back to Michigan and redo my trial. Before the second trial I get a text that they are canceling on the wedding for an elective weight loss surgery. I was really disappointed because I paid $50 and drove 8 hours for the trial. The styles did help me find a replacement which was great. I just wish she had been up front. I would have waited to schedule the trial date.

I've had the same person cutting my hair every month for the past 7 years, and finding someone you can trust is hard. I knew I needed to find someone in the area, and I knew I wanted an Aveda Salon. A couple of Google searches and Acquario was one of the places at the top of my list. What tipped them over the top was the online booking capabilities. I booked an appointment online with Sydney and had my cut last night. Both Sydney and the person working the front desk were extremely nice and friendly; offered me tea/coffee/water, took my coat, etc. and made me feel welcome. Sydney introduced herself and after a quick consultation, she got right to work, starting with a relaxing scalp massage. Throughout the cut, Sydney was extremely professional and efficient. She asked for my preference in shampoo and styling gel (I don't like the men's line Aveda has) and used all of my favorites. I'll definitely book again with Sydney based on my experience yesterday.

I'm so glad she got out of that because she has found her calling. I'm not gonna lie I went in today having put off a massage for too long. She had her work cut out for her in the form of multiple hard knots all around my shoulder blades. She worked to try and get these knots to release and they did quite a bit but I knew I would have to make a follow up appointment and so I did. I just wish I made it for tomorrow instead of in a week! Lol. Ann did a fantastic job and I can't wait to return!! So I have them a try, made an appointment online (which was super simple) and chose to get my hair done by the person who had availability next. It turned out to be this girl Kailynn and she was great! I was in and out, felt very comfortable, everyone was very friendly. I also left paying $35 for a shampoo, cut and style. Which was much cheaper than anywhere else I could find! They are part of a strip mall so there should always be some parking in the lot. They are a full service salon, so whether you need just a trim or a full set of foils they can do it! They also do lashes and waxes. I will definitely be returning here. 10/10 recommend!
