I recently visited Silvi for a hair root touch-up. While I was pleased with the service, I was very…read moredisappointed when the owner increased the quoted price, claiming it was due to my total hair length. I had barely 0.2 inches of grey hair roots and still don't understand how the total hair length affects the quoted price for a root touch-up. If I had longer grey roots, I will understand the increased cost. But that wasn't the case here.

Being in pain no way I could get my hair done for 2 hours. I called and asked to reschedule and got attitude from the receptionist. Told I couldn't because my stylist is going away yet again next week and she has no openings. I'm like no openings forever? I got told nothing until next month. Well great for her she's so booked! I don't complain when my hair is cut too much and I'm waiting for a good 10-15 minutes for my stylist to come in. Given the circumstances I would expect a little more understanding. Plus always books my appointment with another client so I'm waiting for her to finish with then while I wait for my color. Never complained !! Until now. I won't be going back.

Warm welcome from the minute I walked in, through my two hours of pampering mani/pedi time, and till the closing business of payment. My nail technician Jenna was AMAZING and did an absolutely fabulous job. Professional, knowledgeable, and very easy to communicate with, attentive. They worked with my schedule and got me in as soon as humanly possible, which was so appreciated! They are adhering to all COVID-19 protocol and the salon was spotless. It was a warm and welcoming environment that I felt very comfortable walking into for the first time. Vivian was my stylist and she was amazing! She greeted me at the door, had me wash my hands, and then chatted with me about what I wanted with my hair. I was in desperate need of a haircut and she discussed all of the possibilities I had to get back to healthy while keeping as much length as possible. She listened to everything I said and the cut came out wonderful! I am back to a healthy head of hair with a beautiful shape and plenty of length- exactly what I asked from her! Normally, I don't ever come back to a colorist with issues, so this was a first for me, but I was glad to work with her to fix it. The management was awful from the start. I called to make my appointment and she had me tell her what I was having done. I have no idea, I don't know the different color techniques or what I should have done. Turns out they wanted to know how much time I would need in the chair. I would have no idea. Then I had a serious issue with the color itself. The front is brassy blond with odd root lines showing and the back is almost a white blond. But I was happy to go in for a fix. Management called me prior to my "fix it" appointment and I was grilled demanding to know my entire hair color history over the phone, I'm not a colorist so I had no idea how to explain it or what I was going to need to have done to fix it. The I was accused of being unhappy with what I told the colorist to do. Huh? If a customer is unhappy and kindly requests a fix, why didn't she have me come in and evaluate herself, rather than grill me over the phone? Turns out she was concerned about how much time I would require in a chair, again. Also, she informed me that I'd have to pay for the blow out after it was fixed. I am supposed to walk out with wet hair and assume the color looks good? She explained you weren't happy with the color, not the blow out. So, you have to pay for the blowout. WHAT? The tone used, the excuses, the blame the customer attitude and my hair still isn't the way I'd like it.
