She gives great feedback about what's going well in your mouth and what things you could do differently to improve other aspects of your oral health. Got in at 7am and was out the door by 8am. I love their flexible scheduling. I appreciate that this dental office does not push with upselling or offering unnecessary procedures. I have 1 tooth with mineralization on it from childhood and both dentists I've seen at this clinic have asked if it bothers me, and when I say no they totally back off and respect my decision to keep my weird tooth the way that it is. I have referred several people here. If you forget your chapstick and your lips get dry from stretching them open for so long, they'll offer you one of their custom chapsticks. I went here the first time seeking a third opinion on a crown recommendation that I had received two conflicting opinions about; I made it clear that I really didn't want one unless absolutely necessary (as in, I will be in pain without one). The dentist here was realistic with me about what could happen with or without the crown, and I felt like she was treating me like an adult but also being real about potential consequences. I trust her to be honest with me especially because she seemed to respect that I was honest with her too. If you're feeling anxious when you get there, let them know that when they ask how you are. There are ways they can try to help--even if it just means handling you a little gentler. The second time I went I asked for a pillow because my headphones kept falling down and the hygienist was super sweet and accommodated me. I trust this place to not take the most extreme solutions and to be realistic with me, which is not something I've easily found at other dental offices.

I was very pleased with one of the team members there, Fateemah, who cleaned my teeth and gave me a lot of tips on how to keep my teeth and gums healthy. I found out she moved to a different state, thus my journey for a hygienist began... On 07/08/2020, I came to this office to get my teeth cleaned. I was greeted by the receptionists with smiles, I'll assume they were smiles since masks are required in the office, hint hint. I also wanted to get a slight pain checked out from a nearby area close to a crown I had put in. I was seen by Fateemah, as she was kind enough to keep me updated on where she moved. Since they are part of the Smiles Generation network, getting my info back and forth with North Decatur Dentistry was pretty easy. She cleaned my teeth thoroughly once again, and congratulated me on my progress. I didn't get a star sticker but healthier teeth is just as good for me. I was then seen by Dr Egan who was very pleasant and knowledgeable as she was pretty quick to diagnose my pain. She made a slight adjustment to my crowns in hopes that it would help with the occasional pain I'd have. She also told me what other work I needed, but since my time is short here, I'll be getting that work done back in Atlanta. All in all, I had a great experience at this office. It's hard to find an amazing hygienist, so if you visit this office, I recommend you see Fateemah! At Mpls Dentistry they said they would take my insurance no problem. They were nice, but unorthodox, taking many pictures of me with their camera. Then they went ahead and did a full set of xrays, which I was not due for. Once every two years. Then as another reviewer has mentioned they told me about all the work I needed done, bad fillings, bad crowns, they even showed me pictures of someone else's very bad teeth, wanting me to think they were mine. IT WAS A TOTAL SCAM! In the end, they said I owed over $200 for the xrays which I assumed were covered by insurance. In the meantime I have been back to my regular dentist, explained it all to them and they said my teeth are fine. Finally, they reached out to Mpls Dentistry to get a copy of my xrays and all photos of my mouth, and as of not have not received anything.

Let me say that again...THE. BEST. My boyfriend just picked this place for a dental emergency because we live right across the street, but he had such a good experience (she was very transparent about the costs right off the bat and educated him on his different options) that I was convinced to make sure my insurance was accepted (Delta Dental is) and book an appointment. (He also wears the free shirt that they gave him ALL THE TIME. In his defense, it's super soft.) First off, the office manager who scheduled my appointment was super friendly on the phone. Then I walk in after receiving a text reminder of my appointment to the CUTEST office I have ever seen. I'm talking modern, cosy waiting area, great music, and just a clean & fresh but inviting (not doctor's office sterile) vibe. They even had complimentary reusable fabric face masks to take home that Dr. Yang's mom made to wear in the waiting room if you don't have your own. After I filled out my new patient information all on a tablet instead of paper (hello, environmentally friendly) I was brought into the exam room where I got to tell Alexa what music I wanted to listen to! SO SIMPLE AND SO SMART, I love how far they go to make you comfortable. (P.S. She asks wonderful questions on her new patient form like, "have you ever had bad dental experience?" and things like that to gauge your mindset - seriously, so considerate.) For the new patient exam, x-rays, oral cancer screening, and cleaning (which she does all herself right now to really get to know her patients as she's building her practice), she was super gentle, friendly, complimented me on things she could tell I was doing well, answered my questions completely, and even showed me pictures of my ugly stain spots/problem areas that I should be focusing on brushing more to prevent cavities. (Pictures from her nifty high tech intra-oral camera which no one has ever done for me before!) It was super cool, but also a little gross to see my mouth that up close. She also used a fancy tool called a cavitron which uses high frequency sound waves to give your teeth an extra deep clean. She said right away that we didn't have to use it if the sound or vibration bothered me, but I could hardly even feel it and now my teeth feel squeaky clean. The appointment wrapped up with her booking my next cleaning appointment in the exam room and then she sent me on my way with an adorable goody bag. Finally, it was a super easy payment & checkout at the front desk (all the normal exam stuff was covered, I just paid for the $51 optional fluoride treatment out-of-pocket, because #treatyourself). I legit would be Dr. Yang's friend - she's just an enjoyable human being to chat with. Anywhoo...even if you're not actively looking for a dentist, make an appointment with Dr. Yang. Jodi on the front desk staff has been rude, cold, and passive aggressive. Jodi gets very defensive and blunt when I would verify my billing questions with her. The billing situation is bad, they add credit card fees, steep no show fees inside of 48 hours, and don't work with you on bills. Jodi is always incredibly passive aggressive that I did not partake in their text reminders, because when I did I was bombarded with text blasts. I strongly suggest that anyone who goes here double check every line of their bill. When I asked to speak directly with the dentist about my concerns, Jodi brushed me off and refused to connect me, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. With a standing disagreement on one bill, and the inability to speak directly to the owner of the business, they dropped me as a patient within less than a month of being seen. Also if you're a parent you should know they take pictures of all the kids that go to their practice and post them for anybody to see, I feel as though that is not a safe practice for the local neighborhood. The whole experience still leaves me feeling taken advantage of and completely disrespected. I would never recommend this place to anyone if they have to talk to Jodi. If you care about being treated decently and not getting nickel and dimed for everything, stay away from Brimhall Dentistry.

I was super impressed by the technology in this office outstanding! The dentist knows what he is doing and had no problems getting me numb I didn't even feel the injection. The office closes at 5:00 so I call them yet again only to find out "the scans aren't in the system and I need to come in and start over with new scans". They will call the lab but according to Isabelle the soonest I can get the guard is Jan 10. Two month after this whole thing started. Why didn't they find this out after I called at the end of week three. When were they going to let me know? The dentist called tonight at 6:00 to let me know they couldn't find my scans. I wonder if I had not continued to call would they even know the scans had not been sent to or received by the lab, Who dropped the ball here? Update One.This is priceless. ONE of my concerns is they do not respond or call back. I posted this yesterday and now they post a reply here (on-line instead of calling me) for me to call them (I called yesterday and again today). My experiences with Dentist of Eden Prairie should be a word if caution to others. First I was charged for a cleaning that I did not have. If I had not checked the insurance form that came to me I would not have known. I had to let the insurance company know and ask for correction from Dentists of Eden Prairie. I do not know if the insurance company was reimbursed. Their explanation was a change in software. Months later on a Friday I needed a root canal and the result was terrible. I had had other root canals when I lived in Missouri - fairly easy procedure. Not with DEP. I bruised and a hard knot formed from my eye socket to my jaw. I called three times to their emergency service before I got a call back. It was a weekend was the explanation. The emergency service said the dentist would contact me within 2 hours or I should call the service again. Three call and I finally got a response. I was put on antibiotics for 10 days. It took nearly a month for the knot to completely dissipate. Then, in November I needed a new night guard. I was told it would take two to three weeks. I paid in full the day they did the scan. That was November 10. It is now December 26 and I still don't have the night guard.When I called after three weeks I was told they would call when it was in. I finally called back today and asked for the dentist to call me. Guess what - no call back. Be warned!
