I've read several of the recent reviews and was genuinely surprised by the negative feedback. I've lived here since October 2019 and have had very few complaints. I truly enjoy the beautiful views, well-maintained amenities, cleanliness, and the thoughtful landscaping both inside and outside the community. The pool is always clean, and the fitness center offers a wide range of equipment and workout options. I also appreciate the community events such as "Wine Down Wednesdays" and "Thirsty Thursdays," which create a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I would be remiss not to mention how much I trust and appreciate the entire maintenance team--they are responsive, professional, and reliable. Of course, as with any established apartment complex, occasional maintenance issues can arise with heating, cooling, or minor wear and tear. Given the size of the community, it's understandable that addressing every resident's needs can take time. I highly recommend investing in a garage parking space for added convenience and peace of mind. Overall, the rent is fair compared to similar properties in the area and even nationally. I rented at Renew Wheaton Center from September 2023 to March 2025 and had a very disappointing move-out experience related to pet charges. I want to share the details so future renters with pets know what to expect. I have two senior cats (age 11 when I moved in, 13 when I moved out) who are fully litter-trained and have never had accidents in any home. I paid the required upfront pet fee (around $400) plus $100 per month in pet rent for the entire duration of my lease. After moving out, management contacted me to say that when they "pulled back the carpet," they supposedly found irreversible damage consistent with cat urine and planned to charge me $760, but would apply my $500 deposit to reduce it to $260 owed. I immediately disputed this and asked for documentation or proof of the alleged damage. I was told they would provide it, but no evidence was ever sent, despite repeated requests. I also asked what the purpose of the monthly pet rent was if it did not cover wear-and-tear or alleged pet-related damage. The response I received was simply that "pet rent is pet rent and doesn't cover anything." As a renter, that explanation was extremely frustrating. It felt like the existence of pets alone was enough to justify charging for a full carpet replacement. Another concerning detail: I was told that the carpets were due to be replaced anyway (they said they redo them about every five years), and it "just so happened" mine was next. Yet I was still being billed as though the replacement was solely my responsibility. Because no proof was ever provided, and because I know my cats did not cause the issue described, I did not pay the disputed charge. The debt was then sent to collections, which caused a 120-point drop in my credit score in a single month (from ~800 to ~680). I ultimately paid it just to stop the credit damage, but the entire situation felt like a scam to get someone to pay for new carpets. For anyone with pets (even without): I would avoid doing business with Trinity Property Consultants/ReNew Wheaton Center. I wish I could give this place 0 star rating. don't get me wrong, the community itself is nice even though the management is very deceptive. I didn't have a washer and dryer when I moved in. at some point, they emailed me to say they wanted to upgrade all the apartments to have washer and dryer. Mind you, this process took months and they were constantly disturbing my work cos I work from home and my colleagues often complained of noise. After all said and done, it was time to install the actual Machines and guess what, they asked if I wanted the machines for an additional $50 a month. so all those months of noise/disturbance and no one thought it necessary to tell me this would add more cost for me? Now it's time for me to move, they have looked for every single way to squeeze out money from me. First they are holding on to my deposit, and now they emailed me to say I owe an extra $200 for stains. These guys are charging me $500 for kitchen counter stains, can you IMAGINE! I dislike these people so much. And when I told their property manager Kathleen about the reviews of people online, she just shrugged, like "who cares"? Yep! For the low low price of 2200+ you can live in a 1000 SQ ft apartment with mediocre paint work, a sticker with a cute urban pattern laid on top of concrete for your flooring, nothing is measured properly and is usually falling apart the minute you move in, I've unfortunately lived in three different units here... a gym with mice, a pool that's never open on time, old appliances that don't work, plumbing that not only breaks daily but sends feces into your shower and sinks, and last but surely not least say it's winter or summer and you're ready to turn on heat or air... Yeah not in your control. Freeze or sweat to death. That's the renew way. In all seriousness, this place is a joke. So much money for garbage living. The staff is a joke especially the manager of the office. I don't think I've seen her lift a finger once, she's rude to everyone, she hides in her office and pretends to be busy when a residence has an minor inconvenience, and someone needs to get rid of her yesterday. The only nice part of this community is how easy it is to either get laid (if your single) or get drugs. Most of maintenance sells or does coke and a few of them get a little handsy with residents, the only one that was ever nice to look at they fired. I know a few girls in the leasing office left because they were groped by someone on maintenance which is kind of scary ... these people come into our homes. I know the one young guy lives there now and he's the worst one of the bunch. He's just uncomfortable to be around and extremely inappropriate everywhere he goes. Fellas watch your girlfriends/wives he likes when they are taken. The manager is a hot head but will get the job for the most part done, but will have to be either a dick or say something inappropriate the entire time he does it. The woman on maintenance is also the biggest joke but she lives there and her daughters sell pretty decent weed in the parking garage across the street so I guess she fine, but she smells and looks like she's morphing into a cigarette with how much she smokes it's kinda nauseating if she has to come into your home. The Indian looking one with the beard is probably the only one I've seen that stays out of trouble he always has work in hand or heading to do work. I'm not sure who the other ones are I never really see them much but when I do they just walk around with dog treats and a bucket. And then the fat one with green beard Is just really intimidating and unapproachable, always has a pissy face on everywhere he goes, but I mean he does have to be on this property daily so I understand why he looks miserable. The amount of trash, dog shit and piss you walk into constantly is obnoxious, for a non smoking place to live you get weed and cigarettes in your home and hallways pretty much all day. There isnt a restriction on dog breeds but there should be. Last I heard they were selling this place, hopefully the new owners have a brand new staff and Alot of money to fix everything wrong with the place. Worst place to live ever, please I'm begging you don't move here. Sewage and human waste has backed into our bathtub multiple times since moving in back in April. (We live on an upper floor) When we asked why this continues to happen, a leasing agent accused us of flushing feminine hygiene products down the toilet (to be clear we don't do this) when my husband stated that we don't do this, they insisted that we do. Our heat has gone out twice, our AC as well, both took over a week to fix, the walls are so thin I can hear our neighbors having a normal conversation, not even yelling. If you don't pick up your package from the mailroom in under a week, they actually send your package back to the sender! We tried to get out of our lease and they wanted 6,000$ for that. Living here has been nothing short of horrifying, and upsetting. We pay over 2,000$ a month for a one bedroom here and still have all these issues. This apartment complex had a huge amount of sewage problems. Lots of them happen in the second bedroom more than 5 times in one month. When we called to make a emergency request there was a few times that they said it wasn't considered an emergency since we have another bathroom. Management kept trying to blame it on us and asking us if we used flushable wipes. They say that's what was causing the problems. There was a time where maintenance even mentioned maybe it was my hair that caused it. When there wasn't HUMAN WASTE coming out of the shower drain, there was still an awful smell. Still flooding through the walls a year after the first call being hung up on after stating that the water is flooding into the electric and beneath the same windows against the same wall that floods into my entire living space! Negligence from prior to move in as well as Jan/Feb 2023-March 2024 - yes it was first noticed a couple weeks into move in and then continued all the way to the next year! This place is scam central. A project was scheduled to be 5 days. A project that included workers being in and out of our apartment all day for those 5 days. There was plastic hung up all over the place, or laundry was out in our living room. This "5 day project" turned into a 2 month project that was actually never finished. When we then moved out we were not given any sort of checklist or things that needed to be done for move out. So we just cleaned everything the best we could and made sure the apartment was in better condition then when we moved in (besides the 5 day turned to 2 month invasive project). We then didn't receive our security deposit for 3 months....after calling and emailing renew multiple times they told us they had sent the check to our move out address which was wait for it...THEIR LOBBY!!! Ya we moved out into your lobby that makes sense. When finally they sorted it out we were dinged $50 for an unclean stove, and refrigerator which we cleaned extremely well. My family has 4 lawyers & they all said that what ReNew is doing is ILLEGAL. They are trying to charge us $5000 for moving out early even though we PAID RENT for the 2 months left on the lease. SCAM ARTISTS. Also, there is not enough parking onsite, so you can pay $95 for a space (if it's available-I had to wait 2 months for a spot) or pay $30 to park across the street- RIDICULOUS. Avoid at all costs. I have been living here about 9 months, and we're getting close to around 60 days that my apartment has been 80+ degrees inside with no way for me to control it or cool it off. I have had 4 or 5 maintenance visits over the past two months, and no one has been able to fix it. These are old buildings with old infrastructure that is constantly breaking. Aside from my AC not blowing cold air at any point this summer, the entire complex can only have AC from June-November, and only heat from November-June. This means in May when it is in the 80's no one can turn on cold air until June. Or in October when it starts to get in the 40s, no one can turn on heat. The staff is friendly and the amenities are nice, but in my opinion it's not worth your money to have to deal with these sort of problems. They do not have enough parking spaces on the lot, and will not let everybody park in their apartment garages unless you pay for them, even though they provide an adequate amount of space. They OWN a garage across the street too but if you don't move your car by the crack ass of dawn you get towed IN THE MIDDLE OF QUARANTINE WHEN JOBS ARE AT STAKE/HOLD. They tow you when you are there because they want space to rent it out to the city so they can make more MONEY. There seems to be no care about wasting people's money or time here. Oh boy...where to begin. I think i'll break this into Pro's and Con's. Pros: Beautiful view over downtown Wheaton. Great proximity to downtown. Jamie, on the management team, is doing all she can. Her and her team are being put in a bad situation by ownership and they are taking grenades in the office all day long. She is great at quick communication but can only do so much with the tools they are given. She has a gentleman she works with who is also a good guy. Payments, mail room and gym are solid. Pool ok. Dog park a joke. Close to the Prairie Path...this part is pretty cool. Uhhh...that's about it. On to the Cons!! Cons: Dirty Dirty Dirty. The place is worn down. You couldn't find a harder working and nicer housekeeping and maintenance staff but once again, they are grossly understaffed. My girlfriend referred to it as the "Wheaton Projects". The side entrances near the dumpsters look like a an alley in a third world country. Units are run down, noisy neighbors, very unfriendly group of people living there. I had a drunks next to me that would scream at each other every night. One of the big problems are that the bedrooms back up to neighbor living rooms. Complained over a dozen times about someone on my floor smoking...never resolved. The entire property reeks of cigs....and trash. For a place this size they need a security guard to enforce general policy (noise, smoking, etc) Looks like they are on a roll with bad reviews about AC issues. How could they not be?!? They don't turn on the AC till June 1st. I was on the 18th floor but my apartment would get close to 90 degrees leading up till June. I had to get a hotel room multiple nights. They will lean on some City Ordinance BS but I guarantee if i polled the other business and/or complexes they would tell you they have the AC on much earlier. They turn it off AS SOON as they possible can! A few months . Late summer. It's unlivable. Once again, management can only do so much. They will also claim that it takes weeks to switch over the boiler/chiller from hot to cold. I work closely with buildings that have this setup...it can be done in 24 hours if you bleed the system and rush it(costly). 72 hours tops. An older person with a condition could be seriously injured by this. Unsafe. Best part, when they turn it on for the season it always breaks. So then it's out for days. They don't test in the spring and work out the kinks. It's super weak too...can get it below 68 if you like it cold. Parking is a nightmare. Plain and simple. They have made moves with the garage across the street to counteract this. It's pretty far though. I recommend a parking spot in the garage...makes life easier. Train. Train can be cool...i personally liked it. Sitting out on the patio watching the trains pass. However, it's not for everyone. If you like your door open you won't be able to hear anything for 5 minutes as it passes. Can't leave your door open to sleep either...it will wake you up. All in all, i couldn't wait for the lease to be up and ran, not walked, the heck outta there! I'm much happier in Warrenville where i got a newer, bigger place with great neighbors and effective ownership. I got my full deposit back no questions asked. Good luck all! This is the worst apartment complex to rent from. I have lived here for 3 years and from leasing to management it is all horrible. I have called 3 times in the last month because they are over charging me for rent/parking they said they would fix and never did. The thing that bothers me is I told management it seems like they just want my money I got 5 different answers first saying I can't cancel my parking when the city of Wheaton offers the SAME PARKING FOR CHEAPER!!!!. If you move into these apartments go to the city for parking passes the apartment says the city don't offer one they DO all the leasing/ management wants is money. There elevators are also malfunctioning and weren't inspected since 2020 and when I called to ask if they were safe I got cursed out. So renew apartments do not care about your safety or you hard earned money. I lived here for 2 years, and for the most part, it was intolerable. First off, our shower floor was cracked; so, we put in a maintenance request and they came out and fixed it. 1 week later, the floor cracked again. This place is extremely cliquey, it's a little creepy to be honest. Second, The renew has relatively decent amenities, but these amenities come with egregious restrictions of use, or are often times 'out of order' (shall well say). Third, this place sends threatening smoking notices/emails to people non-specifically. And states, "they are a non-smoking property"; yet, there is a smokers pole outside by the dumpsters. Fourth, the basic utilities constantly have problems. Over the course of 2 years, we received several emails alerting us of planned shut offs because of these mysteriously reoccurring problems that would frequently happen. Overall, The maintenance people were pretty cool. The office staff, questionably competent at best. The place was semi-nice; but not worth the administrative issues. They need to focus on fixing their amenities, as well as constant infrastructure issues. read more

When I move out I left apartment in perfect condition and I have all pictures before I move in and after I move out because I saw all reviews here... A bit more than 90 days before my move out date I sent them and email with my move out notice to Renew Wheaton Center email and never got response, then week later I was trying to reach management over the phone just to confirm if they received my email. No answer, It's was always impossible to reach management. After that I went to leasing office because they open by 6 and I spoke with Britany just to confirm that they received my email, she told me that they are not because they have an issues with emails and I asked her to mark in the system that I will move out at 11/14 according to my lease agreement. Then 30 days later I went back again to book an elevator and double check again and I spoke with Alexis and told her the same that I sent you guys move out notice a bit more than 90 days before moving out. It was not in the system (Britany never mark it there) so I asked Alexis to do it again and she told me that she did. Then 2 weeks before moving out I spoke Sergio from management called me and I told him the same that I gave you guys 90 days move out written notice over the email and I spoke with Britany and Alexis. He told me ok I will mark it in the system, what he never did. And for last 14 days they change me $1820 instead of $800 + they never gave me back my $500 deposit + they want to change me additional $1831.11. So in total they want to scam me for $3351.11!!!!!! I was talking with Christian from central billing office I sent him all the screenshots of my email (move out notice). I was emailing with central billing office back and forward. I spoke with that Christian few times over the phone... only one answer from them: "We never receive your email, you never told nobody that you are moving out. We can't help you" When I took a day off and went to management office the lady there was extremely rude and she was yelling at me that she will call police on me... NOBODY NEVER EVER CONSIDER TO LIVE IN THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! read more

Great community, but a few problems. All problems have occurred when management changes to RENEW 1. The new installation of toilets caused my bathroom to be unusable for a week after multiple maintenance requests. Flooded my bathroom and seeped into the hallway. At first they regrouted it, but after a few uses, the problem was not fixed, they just put a bandaid on a huge wound. After a week of being unable to use it, it was finally resolved by fixing the piping. 2. Dishwasher started leaking, took 4 days to fix the flooring in our kitchen. I put the request in on a Thursday and was not completed until the following Tuesday. Maintenance said it was due to management not allowing for overtime. Our floor was seeping water and became a nuisance as you can easily fall over by slipping or catching the huge pocket of water on the ground. 3. If it's 70-80 degrees out, please turn the AC on. This whole central heat/ac is awful. I'd rather not sweat while I sleep. 4. I haven't had any problems with the CrossFit gym, until now. I understand the slamming of weights is unacceptable after 9pm, but do not try say it's unacceptable at 1pm, when a majority of the community is off campus. Telling me "that's not how you properly put down 300lbs" is not only an insult, but shows how the planning of the gym placement is flawed. There is no way to set down weights quietly and the use of these new "pads" is not the workout I want. I don't slam the weight down because I want to, I set it down as easily as I can with the best of my ability. I use the gym sparingly as I have another gym membership elsewhere and I've gotten nothing but disrespect when I use it once or twice a month. I even had an elderly fellow record me in the middle of my workout without my permission. Complaining in the middle of the day is preposterous. read more

I'm extremely upset with the way the new management team has been handling issues presented to them. One of their first new projects in the building was to install these special toilets that use less water. Well they didn't do their research before installing them, as each bathroom is set up differently and they never cleaned up and fixed any of the tile on my floor that was ruined from the pervious one. Also the toilet is so far off the wall you can hardly get the door open. I have been asking for weeks for someone to come and fix this and all they did was put lose plastic on the ground to try and cover up what was ruined instead of actually fixing the problem. I pay a lot of money to live here and this is an unacceptable lazy solution to a bigger issue. I have been emailing back and forth with management for weeks on this to try and get a resolution, but nothing is happening. They keep saying they will send maintenance, which took weeks before they came, and once they did come to my unit, nothing was done and no note was left explaining why. I put in another work order and it was cancelled and I was told to take it up with management. I am extremely upset with the new team who took over and how poorly they handled this renovation. My bathroom floor looks disgusting and the fact that the door just about touches the bowl of the toilet is also ridiculous. If an emergency happened, there's no way anyone can get help to you. Some of my neighbor's units couldn't even open their door from the way they installed the new toilets and were unable to use their bathroom until a team got in there to fix it. I'm sorry, but we pay way too much money to have issues like this and I would have expected that they communicated with those having these issues in a better way and did whatever it took to fix the problem they created. UPDATE: They came and fixed my floor today. I am very happy to have this resolved. It does not appear that they regrouted like they said they would, but they cleaned all the gunk up and It looks a lot better . I appreciate that they called a team in to fix it. My original post was a 1 star and I am moving it to my post to 3 stars as they did what was needed to fix it. I wish I didn't have to have gone to the measures that I did to get it fixed, but I am I happy it is finally gone. I do want to say, although I am not thrilled with the communication of the new management team so far, this is a nice community overall to live in and I don't want to fully bash it. I wouldn't call it luxury style apartments other then the great view and amenities as the walls are pretty thin (you can hear everything your neighbors do), you dont hAve control over your AC and Heat, I can see all the paneling in my walls, and my bathroom could use updating BUT it is a nice place to live and I have enjoyed being here for almost two years. read more

Moved into this place as a last minute option due to the home buying market. Signed a 7 month lease and explained that I would not be there any longer. I moved into the unit, unit wasn't ready; water was off in the bathroom, sink was leaking underneath, unit smelled like it had a plumbing problem. I contacted maintenance and they resolved the issues after a couple/few, attempts. No problems with maintenance because I felt they responded. However, other concerns were- water was shut off for a few or more days (property wide), no drinking, no bathing, no toilet flushing. That's it... just received notice and offered the tenants usage of a public gym shower for about 3 hrs. Was my hotel stay deducted from rent? No. Building was often dirty, made a complaint and it remained. Ceiling tile in the lobby still missing to this day. When we moved in, it was quiet. Neighbors moved in above us and I made a few complaints because they were loud and up all night, sounded like a WWF match with 2 running dogs. I stopped sleeping and it interfered with daily activities, I informed the office and nothing. The weed smoke became unbearable..... the garage parking at an additional $90 a month where the sewer constantly backed up.... Wasn't quite my cup of tea. Notice was submitted to vacate 7months in advance then again before move out. Now they want to charge an extra month after my lease ends due to technicalities.... Spoke to property manager Lisa who talked to me as if I were a 5yr old and spoke about a contract agreement. Lisa, where was the contract when the property didn't have water? Was was the contract when my peace wasn't enjoyable? Can I deduct those things from rent including loss of wages? I couldn't wait to leave this place! I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. If you decide to move here, make sure you're unit isn't next to the trash room and on the back side of the building, you'd never sleep for other reasons than a neighbor. I moved in when the complex was still just Wheaton Center but they're now under new management and they have made lots of changes. They listen to our feedback and act on it instead of brushing it off like the old management did. They even cracked down on the smoking problem we had on our floor. On top of the new management that's doing a great job the location of the complex is perfect too, its right next to the train station, they have many small businesses around it since it's downtown Wheaton. The actual rooms are spacious and nice, I love the view from the balcony. Just overall this has probably been the best apartment complex that I've lived in. I can't wait to see what additions and changes the management will make. read more

My apartment does not have a washer/dryer and I was completely fine with going to the common laundry room to do my laundry. All of a sudden, they started busting the walls saying they want to standardize all the apartments with washers/dryers. This has been ongoing for months now and their excuse is that the washers/dryers are back ordered. Today; I get an email saying if I want to have washer/dryer installed I need to pay $50 monthly. First, no one asked if I was interested in having washer/dryer, no one told me earlier this would cost a monthly fee. I literally endured a lot of noise while working for about 3months while the maintenance team was drilling through walls. I had an appointment to view apartments at ReNew Wheaton Center this past week as my current lease is coming due. I was immediately impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the management team, led by property manager, Nick Miller. I also found it a nice touch to be introduced to a majority of the maintenance staff throughout my tour of the property, who were equally as friendly. I had the opportunity to see three, recently remodeled units, and it was clear that Nick had communicated to his team what I was looking for in an apartment. In addition to viewing the apartments, I was given a thorough tour of the entire property - dog park and pet wash/salon, tennis courts, gym, garage, and the recently renovated pool and grill area (complete with socially-distanced cabanas). Needless to say, I left and immediately applied online for an apartment. I am looking forward to becoming a resident of what is clearly such a wonderful community. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. As a 4 year resident of RWC, It pains me to leave this review because this was once a great community to live in but the property management company that took over about a year ago(trinity property consultants) has turned it into a train wreck. My air conditioning unit went out this summer and it has been 3 months and still is not working. Management has no clue whatsoever what they're doing and additionally has the worst communication/customer service I have witnessed in my 27 years on this planet. So where do I start? I was so excited to be moving into a high-rise with a view that I didn't see the obvious. Many things always was not working, Pool, electricity, water, bathroom shower, stove however Rent was steady going up. I had to pay to rent the Community Room which had no working hot water neither time. Water was out in both buildings for over 2 days & we couldn't use the wash our bodies nor flush the toliet. We had to go buy water if we wanted to drink water. Management changed hands 3 or 4 times since I've been there. Sewer stench was in the laundry room which caused stench to be in the whole apartment. Balcony kept flooding. It was horrible but I was definitely required to pay my rent on time or get a late fee. Pool was not working most of the summer. I had humming in my freezer and I was told there was nothing that could be done. Management kept getting worse and worse. High turnover rate from Managers to Maintenance. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You should really see why there is such a high rate of people leaving. The air conditioner didn't work properly. On the hottest days of the year, air conditioner wasn't working for 2-3 days, ugh! Garbage was all ways overflowing. There was so much favoritism between management & the Caucasian tenants. Hardly received package room notifications. When you went into the Package Room, your packages were rarely in the same spot....It was a jungle in there. There was no ramp in the back for handicap people nor the people who parked in the lot to bring their groceries up in a cart, I had to walk around the whole building 1. Complex is under new management and it has made a BIG difference. New management is more responsive and has cracked down on smoking. Office staff is easy to work with and they are getting it done. Looking to add more amenities as well. Great location across from the train so if you commute, this place is well worth a look. The building condition is generally dirty and smells like trash. Trash overflows from the dumpsters every morning. The only garbage receptacles that are empty are the ones for dog poo. Maintenance staff does not wear masks during a pandemic. Staff in general seems to have little regard or care for the building. Damaged or broken fixtures have no schedule for repair...broken windows in garage, cracked tiles, broken door. Shower water temperature is kinda warm at best. Heat and air seem to have no effect in unit. Looking forward to our time being done here. read more

I wish I wouldn't even give them one star.. this place has been nothing but drama and a inconvenience to my wife and I. First and foremost they call you and accuse you of things when they don't have valid facts. They were not willing to help during the 2020 pandemic when people were at lockdown or lost their jobs. We were still expected to pay for the amenities (gym, pool) during these times without any accommodations into regards of us not being able to use it because they weren't OPEN! MANAGEMENT is extremely rude, sassy and not helpful. The heating and A/C SYSTEM sucks. Sewer smells in the unit when neighbors flush!! Utilities are rigged!!!!!! When they do a move out inspection they charge you for normal wear and tear, they take you're whole deposit and still expect an "outstanding balance due" The utilities are based on the whole floor NOT INDIVIDUAL UNITS! and the reasoning is because when I receive my final utility statement before my move out date I was CHARGED up till my move out date! How are they charging me for days when we haven't even gotten to that calendar date, makes no sense!! Unless it's rigged. Management/leasing people live in these buildings along with the tenants, almost feels dorm like, they are always watching on the low so they can run to management. On top of that, I saw one of the employees that live there with a VAPING PEN in the lobby (so much for ZERO tolerance smoking) When the rules state no type of smoking anywhere in or near the building. The walls are like paper, you can hear neighbors flushing the toilet, talking, screaming, cooking, pets barking and banging. The walls weren't the only problem, it's how the units were built like a playhouse, cheap stuff, half way fixed and falling apart. they wait till you break it and call it in to fix it properly. They hire cheap unprofessional construction workers that paint a bathtub and peels off over time! Who does that? Last but not least, when my wife provided them with a move out notice my wife asked them "how much will the last months rent be?" Because it will need to be prorated. The ASSISTANT MANAGER provided us with a INCORRECT rent amount, Causing us to have a outstanding balance. And when my wife tried to get it situated they were unhelpful and extremely sassy with my wife with no APOLOGY on their error! And also RENEW I see that you are replying to others reviews, my review stands as is and my mind will not be changed with the rating I provided. This place doesn't even deserve the 3 stars it has. Love the style of Renew, they have done a great job taking a staple in the community and revitalizing/updating the property. I spoke with Nick Miller and he was wonderful answering all of my questions and bringing up other ideas and amenities that I wouldn't have even thought of. Renew Wheaton does not offer enough parking leading you to to be ticketed or towed. There only option is to pay even more money than you are for rent. This place is a joke. read more

Let me start off by saying that i would given a better rating when i moved in. Once Wheaton Center changed its company name to renew wheaton center that's when it all changed. First off the pricing has went up by at least $300-$400 a month with this new company on the lease. What i dont understand is there price change is so drastic, there has not been any updates or renovations but fresh paint in my building. Leasing and management has changed. Customer service is very poor. I wanted to transfer to a bigger apartment since i am now expecting and expanding my family. I went to the leasing office where i applied with a co applicant. I never received an email or a call to let me the the application status. I also emailed the management office as well, and never received a phone/email. I also called the operator and gave her my info as well to forward to management and 3 weeks later nothing. My last resort was to send my significant other there to find out in person what was going on. He was given the run around. I went to leasing office for the last time to let them know that i found another place and i am leaving. I personally loved living there til this whole organization change. Point is this was a sign for me not to RENEW at RENEW. read more

If you are looking for an apartment in this area stay away from ReNew Wheaton Center! The management will give you attention until you move you in and have your signature, but then they will be nowhere to be found. They recently replaced all toilets and faucets to reduce water, but utilities didn't go down in place...ummm?? Keep in mind the water pressure is so low that it's nearly impossible to take a shower. I was charged $75 for incorrectly putting in bank information and they were happy to charge me after two weeks of trying to track them down. It's now summer and the pool has been closed twice so the money we pay for "amenities" is not going towards things I can use. Also, construction has been consistent and the already limited parking lot is closed as well. It's a huge mess. Stay away, stay far far away. read more

Not only did the management team talk back to me on the phone but they were incredibly flippant and immature about my entire situation!! I delt with Mallory and Antonio.
