A screen was damaged by wind, and we were told quite nastilly that it was "too bad, we don't cover screens in the warranty." I bought very expensive Renewal by Anderson windows last year. I love the windows and the finishing that they provided. However, one of the grills began to bow after a couple of months. Since then, I have taken pictures as they requested on at least three occasions, technicians have come out to inspect the problem several times, and finally this month (about 11 months after installation) a new grill was installed. However, it was not stained to match. Today I was told they isn't know the grill needed to be stained, but they will send someone out to fix it. We'll see if that happens! We have a growing list of disappointments....sure Covid slowed down their factory for Months but the quality should still be found. We called them because we saw our neighbor across the street have their windows replaced by this company. When we called we explained to the girl that we are looking to replace the windows for our apartment and she proceeded to make an appointment with my husband, albeit taking almost 30 mins. When another scheduler called to confirm the time, she wanted to make sure all decision makers are there. We said even if we are both there we can't commit to them because we have to get bids from other vendors on our apartment, then she said we don't do commercial. On top of that, they had the wrong time. This company will not - no hyperbole, they simply will not - meet with one homeowner (at least they won't meet with a woman; I can't say if they'll meet with a man). I told the very nice representative who came to my house offering estimates that yes, I had a project, and would be happy to set up a time for an estimate. I clarified (twice) that my spouse and I each work odd hours, tend to "divide and conquer" household projects, and the team would be meeting with *me.* Then I spoke to a rep on the phone who told me - repeatedly - that they want both homeowners present. I said I would love an estimate, but I can't guarantee that; this is when *I* am available. Thought we were good to go. Ten minutes ago I received a phone call from Renewal by Anderson to "confirm that [myself] and [spouse] are available" at such and such time. Again, I reiterate that the team will be meeting with *me.* At this point, rep refuses, says they really need both homeowners present, but I am "welcome to reschedule when we're both available." Last summer we got new windows installed by Renewal By Andersen - Milwaukee - https://rbamilwaukee.com/ Since then we found out that they installed a few of the screens with an inch gap, they did replace after we complained but the installers just left them with the issues. They also installed the windows to rotten trim which has caused water to come inside the house. They did not mention that we had rotten wood, during install. After 3 weeks of calling customer service and complaining I finally got a call back from the General Manager and he explained they have a policy to NOT point out any issues that they might find, regardless of the impact to the customer, so that they won't be held liable. In my mind, I would not have held them liable and would have actually seen it as a really great customer experience. The last person I spoke to from their office said the window is too heavy to stay up. Again, not disclosed at the sales call. The installation was very poorly done and there are several problems with the windows. First, not all the windows we ordered were ready on time. So the installation had to be completed over 2 months. Finally, all the windows were installed but many of the windows did not function properly. They had to send someone back to fix them. Now I'm noticing more and more issues. Some of the window frames are bowed and don't seal properly. One window won't lock after you open it. The French door lock is so hard to turn my wife cannot do it herself. read more

Signed contract to purchase a bay window. Had asked the sales representative what the glass space of the three windows were. That is just glass exclusive of the frames and posts. He couldn't get that info. I calculated myself. That is just a minor complaint. Major complaint - When I signed the contract I was told that it would be approximately 6 months till installation. That was fine with me. In about 5 months I got a call that a date could an installation date could be scheduled on November 15th. I made sure that my schedule was clear for the 15th. A few day before the 15th I got a call as a reminder. I took off all window dressing blinds and drapes and cleared all furniture from the window area as requested. At 3 pm on November 14th I received a call that they could not make the 15th installation date and would call me with another date. At about 4:30 pm I got another call that the new scheduled date would either be November 16th or November 17th and that I would get a call at approximately 2pm on the 15th to firm up either the 16th or the 17th. When I hadn't got a call by 3pm on the 15th I called and left a message to call me so I can clear up the selected date. When there was no call by 4pm I called again and left a message. This was repeated at 5 pm and again 6pm. Terrible customer service and communication. We had a patio door replaced today and couldn't be happier with everything involved. They put canvas down to protect the floor, kept cleaning up behind themselves, did an amazing job with the finishing work and were fun to have in the house! We found out that two of the guys were trainees and couldn't believe they hadn't been working as a team for a long time. They were very well oiled and kept things going as if to read each others minds. Sometimes it's difficult having strangers in your home but this was not the case with these guys. We had 10 windows installed in January. The installers were efficient, friendly and except for the last day cleaned up well. The last day the floor wasn't cleaned up and there was calking on the garage door and on a wall in one of the bedrooms. I have been waiting for a call back or the survey they said would be coming to address the problems but as of now, have not heard back from anyone either by phone or email. My biggest problem was the salesman. He said my husband had to be present when he did his pitch. I was the one ordering the windows so I thought that was very sexist. He was hard sell and said he would manage the project. I never heard from him again once he got signed contract.
