We arrived at our scheduled pickup time to find the vehicle not ready. We were told it was "being washed" and had to wait nearly an hour. While we waited--before we were even given the keys--we were aggressively pushed to purchase the extra damage waiver. The pressure was intense to the point of feeling predatory, and it raised real concerns that we were being set up to either buy unnecessary coverage or be blamed for damage later. Spoiler: we were. We were told the vehicle had no damage and asked to sign the condition report before inspecting the vehicle ourselves. Once we finally got it, the boot didn't open automatically--not from the key fob, not from the handle. We assumed this was a normal feature of the model since no issue was noted and we weren't given any instruction or manual. There were no staff on the garage floor to ask. The vehicle also had less than a quarter tank of fuel, forcing us to immediately find a station before even starting our trip--another completely avoidable delay. We returned the vehicle to Inverness Airport well before our scheduled return time. The return agent walked around the car, noted no visible damage, and I explained the boot worked the same way it had at pickup. That seemed to be the end of it... until we received an email falsely accusing us of causing the issue and asking us to file a damage claim through our credit card company. We've sent multiple detailed emails to dispute the charge, offered written statements from all four adults in our party, and requested security footage review. No one has replied. Not even basic documentation was provided that would allow us to file a credit card claim if we wanted to. Just repeated automated messages pushing us to accept responsibility for damage we did not cause. This experience has left us with the unmistakable impression that Enterprise UK is running a bait-and-blame operation, where customers are pressured to pay extra up front--and if they don't, they're targeted with baseless claims after the fact. We've rented cars across Europe and North America, from Enterprise and other agencies, and we've never dealt with anything remotely this shady or incompetent. We will never rent from Enterprise again, and I recommend anyone considering it take their business to literally any company with functioning ethics and a pulse in their customer service department.

If you want to know how amazing they are, try any other rental agency. As we were warmly welcomed at the desk in Glasgow Airport, ushered straight to our car, with impeccable service from Cameron and Josh, we laughed at the people in the Hertz line still waiting as we drove off to the Highlands. Some of the busses got pretty busy and the top floor is half uncovered which was not great while it rained. I was super impressed with the recordings which were clear and very interesting. There were even 2 different recordings in English, one more historical and one music themed. My only wish is that it stopped closer to the botanical gardens. However, the walk through the university was gorgeous so it ended up being a blessing in disguise.

It's a pretty simple, basic train station that smells well.......industrial! (if that makes sense?). It's a bit dull and dreary to be honest but for convenience, I can't help but like it! Not the most attractive looking station (it's no Glasgow Central!) but it's close link to the City centre makes it a winner in my eyes. And the quickest way to get into town (Bridgeton - Argyle Street - Glasgow Central) so I like it. Busier obviously at peak times but nothing too crazy and even at those times, I always manage to get on a train. It's literally 5/6 minutes to Argyle Street and another minute to Central. I can live with that. The station is always clean and I've never noticed any litter. There is a ticket desk (which I've never used) and the staff seem friendly enough. Stairs run down to both platforms which are fairly well maintained and there are a couple of benches (on one platform these are covered over so if the weather is bad, you're sorted!). As this station is located near Celtic Park, when there are football matches on it can get a bit busy. There are always plenty of trains running though so if it is a match day, I advise checking train times and heading out just after kick off when it won't be as crazy and it's always been fine.

All clean, shiny, and modern - the well lit staircases are a far cry from the old dark, dim and rather stinky stairwells that made up the old station. With it being done up, and the roadway up to Celtic Park now being well lit, and renovated as well, this would be my choice for heading to Celtic games at home - get the train to here (only 2 stops from Glasgow Central) and walk up, it's about a 10 minute walk... as I found out when we had 9 minutes to get a train after a game and arrived just to see it depart! If this is the standard that Scotrail are going to bring all the stations up to, then I'm all for it. How about Glasgow Central low level next? :D

It is situated bang in the town centre with plenty of nearby eating and drinking options. Perfect. In saying that, it's probably just about true to say Helensburgh Upper is a better option if you're visiting the area for a look around Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Hill House. Personally, I'd choose the extra five minute walk just because I like this station but please don't feel like you have to do likewise.

They told us where to place the our luggage, and its do-it-yourself, thus that room was a mess. Luggage all over the place, not utilizing the space efficiently. The hotel only had one working elevator and each can only fit 3 to 4 adults at a time. It was a challenge trying to use the elevator to go up and down, hopefully the other elevator has been fixed by now. The room was ok, we had two issues. Hotel WIFI - slower than a turtle... felt like we were using dialup service. Not sure if this was done on purpose or what, but they need to upgrade their wifi system. Room Layout - we had on full size bed and one sofa bed. When you expend the sofa bed out, it blocks the other folks using the other bed from accessing the restroom. They should flip this, so the sofa bed is by the window and the full size bed on the other side. Free breakfast & friendly staff.

Went out about 2100 (9ish PM) for a snack (no idea where to go), front desk man told me Pizza place next door, sure enough there was a little Italian restaurant, order pizza to go and grabbed a half pint cold Italian ale, all for less then £20, great experience, breakfast in the morning (included with room).
