With plenty of acreage at the northeast corner of Howell & Clark Ferguson, this is a safe and serviced greenspace just waiting to be explored. The 'soft' track encircles the park if you want to get some steps, and there are great ball fields just waiting for spring to come so they can be used frequently. Tennis courts are at the east end and the restroom facilities are found on both sides of the park. Enjoy NKC's public spaces! We popped by after visiting the City/River Market and took a stroll along the river, passing by the beach volleyball courts, playgrounds, river view platform, green space and even a local beer garden! The full area is currently in transition with lots of mixed use developments under construction, so another 12-18 months and this place is going to be unrecognizable. With that, the current amenities are a bit skimp, with no public restrooms beyond porta-potties and not much more to do than volleyball, walking/jogging, and grabbing a beer. But again, ground floor of the development and the park itself is nice so far. This park is the end/start point of the KC Streetcar, which is wonderful! While we walked here, we decided to take the Streetcar back to downtown. It was a perfect spot to hop on. The park is well kept, clean and an overall excellent spot to spend a some time wandering around or through. Excited to see what it morphs into as the developments continue, but already impressed!

This riverfront park has lots to offer; multiple pickleball courts, picnic shelters, lots of paved walking/biking paths, kids playground equipment, large public art installations and a beautiful courtyard to watch the longest river in the nation snake it's wide muddy water past your gaze. There are not a lot of places in the metro that offer such a great up close vista of our most under-utilized and unappreciated natural wonder. I see myself returning for pre-work lunches or coffee since I work just a mile away. Good job city of Riverside!
