Our route started at Black Rabbit Mead and rolled through Ole Bridge Pub, Social Tap, and Our Bar, before wrapping things up at The Depot next door. If you've got a big group, book the private rental--it's totally worth it. Smaller crew? Grab a few individual seats and still join the fun. The staff is awesome, and the follow car makes you feel like a local celeb as you cruise downtown. Pro tip: show up at least 30 minutes early. Black Rabbit gets crowded with multiple groups starting or ending their rides, which can slow down service and eat into your bike time. read more

What a fun event! We reserved the entire bike for a 2 hr reservation, which included 2 stops of our choice, option to play our own music, and ability to decorate the bike. They recommended we get there 15 minutes early, but I would definitely try to get there at least 30 to 45 minutes before to ensure you aren't cutting into your reservation time, so you can decorate, mingle, and grab a drink in Black Rabbit Mead before take off. Your time ends at the 2 hr mark regardless of when you take off. We got there as recommended and there was only one bartender for a massive group of us and another group who reserved a bike for the day, so it was pretty chaotic and took much longer than expected. I would also recommend knowing which stops you want to go to. There is a list online, so come prepared and enjoy! Overall the driver was fantastic as was the experience. Seriously one of the best evenings I've had in a long time. We took the Brew Bike out for a friend's birthday. They did a lot to make the event special for the birthday girl. They played my friend's playlist directly off of their phone for the duration of the ride. It was so much fun belting out the songs with the group as we biked along Virgina St. She got to choose all the locations we visited. It was a real treat pulling up in the Brew Bike and seeing everyone's excitement at seeing the spectacle. Happy Birthday Kristy!!! I've seen the Brew Bike around town a lot over the last several years. Everyone peddling, laughing and having a great time. Kristy decided that's how she wanted to party for her birthday this year. So she rounds up 14 friends, asks them to wear tutus and we head to Lead Dog Brewery to get on the bike. There the driver explained our options of where we could go and our time limits. Signed our waivers on the phone app and we are off.......... Kristy picked the places she wanted to go ahead of time. She also created a playlist of music that the driver played while we peddled around. It was a unique way to bar crawl and was a lot of fun, as we were that snail in traffic at times. Wow!!!! Awesome experience! I have to be honest here I was totally skeptical. The location is right to the left of the Lead Dog, In that parking lot... So you don't actually go into a store front or anything. Your driver meet you out front, next to the brew bike, gets your stops in line gives you a few rules, and off you go! Literally laughing and having a great time before we even got out of the parking lot! Treyson did an amazing job with our group and maximized our visits with the time we had (2.5 hours). He made a few recommendations on places that we could go, and a few of those places you never been!... So worth it!! A little tip here, if you get the bike during the day you don't really get the full affect of the lights... However you do get the effect of the music and everyone being together and laughing and having a good time! Just saying that our experience at night was absolutely epic! People were laughing and clapping honking at us, just as if they were on the bike with us! What a great experience. It was much hotter earlier that day, so we are super happy with our time frame. Such a good time to be had here! We placed our reservation a few weeks ahead of time. You pay at the time you reserve. There is a note on their site, that you cannot cancel less than 7 days out from your reservation. So keep that in mind when booking. The bike loads at Ralston and 1st. Check the website for times. It runs about $20 per person. You can also just jump on the bike if there is space and pay at that time. But if you have a large group (4 or more) it's better to reserve in advance. There is no drinking booze on the bike. You pedal from bar to bar and drink in the bar. You do get a discount at the locations you stop at. The bike does have an ice chest with water bottles. As for music on the bike... you must provide the music via your phone. Just open up your preferred music station and hand it to the 'driver' and he plugs it into the speaker system. The music can get pretty loud and does sound good. Rolling along the streets of downtown, expect to see many of the walking people (and even drivers) taking your picture. Wave hi to them, make it fun. Yes, you will actually be pedaling the bike! Wear shoes/clothes that are suitable to you doing this. Your feet may slip off the pedal occasionally, so I don't recommend flip flops as you might lose one, and well the bike does not stop very fast, so it might be gone for good. lol. The driver does have a braking option, but since this thing is so big, it does take a little while. The driver will tell you when to start pedaling and also when to let off (stop pedaling). There are a few seats on this thing that do not require pedaling, but really do you want to be that person who is just there mooching off the other's hard work. lol :) A typical ride means you will get to stop at about 3 bars. you get about 25 minutes at each bar to drink/socialize/whatever. the driver will come in and announce a 5 minute warning to get back on the bike. The bike fun is what you make of it. If you just go and sit and pedal and don't let loose, you might not like it. But if you get a group of friends and rock out to the music, you will very likely have a blast. I do plan on booking on this again soon, maybe next month. If I ever were to leave Reno this would be one of those experiences I would take with me as being memorable. It was a group of 8 of us, and we were allowed to be DJ and our captain Justin was very easy going and helpful! To preface this I should say that the week prior my group was booked but after seeing my car covered in snow and getting completely drenched in putting air in the tire I was so thankful that Duke was more than accommodating. This is the essence of awesome customer service. We did the 3 hour ride in the evening and boy to be riding around the streets of Virginia and Center and off the beaten path this was a blast. You become the center of attention abc most of the time in a welcome way. Some of the merchants took a dollar off the drinks, others did not. One of the merchants stated they did not have all the ingredients To make a drink while a different bartender at the same bar turned around and made the requested drink for a friend. This has nothing to do with the Brew Bike rather but the bar itself. In the end, We all left laughing And feeling like we did an intense Spin class. If any of my friends come from out of town I'm definitely suggesting the Reno Brew Bike! read more

Such a fun experience! The tour starts in the parking lot of Lead Dog Brew Co. We stopped at 4 different locations for about 25 mins each. Sarah Faye (our guide) really gets the group pumped up. She was a wonderful guide, and super fun. She would come inside whatever bar we were at and kindly let us know that we would be getting on the bike and head to our next location in about 5 mins. She let us play our own music which was super cool. One of the girls in our group made a playlist, and it was absolutely perfect. Because of state law, there is no open container on the bike. Only water, but it doesn't damper the mood whatsoever. There are seats that peddle, and seats just for the ride. If you cannot peddle, no worries! They sell shirts for $15.00. Sizeeeee upppp! I'm 135lbs and the LARGE is tight on me. I definitely recommend going up a size or two. I can't wait to go again! Super affordable and definitely a great time! read more

We have been on the brew bike twice now and have loved it each time! Be prepared for some work though because the bike is powered by pedaling! But if you cannot pedal don't worry, there are a few seats that do not have pedals. It is recommended to switch seats at each stop so everyone has a chance to pedal but not required of course if there is an injury. We did the regular 2 hour tour the first time and the ultimate 3 hour tour the second time. We like the 3 hour because there is about 40 minutes spent at each of the 3 locations instead of about 20-25 minutes when you're on the regular 2 hour tour. One of the great things is everyone on the brew bike choose as a group where to go or the driver will suggest a place depending on what everyone is looking for. This review was for the bike ride for the Strange Brew fest for 5-14-2016. Since this was a special ride, it did run a few bucks more at $45. What did the $45 include? A few stops at various beer selling establishments saving a buck on each drink ordered. Here is what made it worth the while. Admission to the beer festival (Almost an hours stay)! That, right there, is a $50 fee! But, combined with the beer bike, it was awesome! The pickup location is simple. At the main entrance at the Auto Museum. Just east of the Sienna casino. Make sure you sign the online waiver and arrive 15 minutes early. Parking can be tough, but the Auto Museum does not lock their lot after hours. Yes, when you pedal, you do feel the burn. Some people will obviously not pedal and that's their choice. But, if you don't want or can't pedal, there are several seats which are pedaless. The first stop was at Mellow Fellow where we saved a buck on a beverage of our choice. It was good. This got our feet wet, so to speak, on pedaling. It was a welcome relief after 3 minutes of pedaling, to go inside and have a beer! The next stop, was the beer festival! Hoorah! We pedaled as fast as we could with traffic piling up behind us we were doubly motivated! Thank goodness the pedal bike we were on was power assisted. Regardless, we all felt the burn by the time we got to the festival. Our last stop was the Sierra Tap House. That was a good time for me to stop after saving another dollar on my final beer. The whole entire thing, the comradery, pedaling, yelling, drinking and carousing was a heck of a lot of fun. I don't know if it would be worth while without the beer fest, but it sure was worth while. Do what I did and go with a friend, it makes it even better! --------------- Bottom Line Of course! When I first heard about this, I was like "That seems weird." Mostly because you can't drink on the bike, not their fault, due to the open container laws. Yet, when a friend decided to do this for his birthday, I was like "yeah sure" What I realized was that it is like bar hopping but without ever leaving the bar, just taking a temporary break in drinking between bars! It was way more fun then I expected. The owner is fantastic and makes the whole experience super fun. You get to play your own music while cruising through the streets of downtown Reno. If you haven't made a reservation for your Reno Brew Bike tour, do it now. It's a 15-seat bike, 12 of the seats have pedals. You meet them outside, hop on the bike, and you're off. If you've reserved the whole bike, you can choose which bars you'd like to stop at. If you haven't reserved the whole bike, I assume they have an itinerary and you can discuss if you'd like to make any changes. You and your 15 new friends (or old friends), then pedal your way to the bar on this gigantic bike, through the streets of Reno. Our guide was fun and easy-going, while still keeping us on schedule and letting us determine how our night would go. They have water for you on board to quench your non-beer thirst (no drinking on the bike due to open container laws), and you can bring your own tunes via iPod (Taylor swift is an excellent biking accompaniment). You spend a little bit of time at each location, and then hop back on to proceed to your next location. Pro-tips: 1) Reserve your time at a time when bars will be open. It was a dirty-thirty shindig, so it was Sunday night from 7-9. Turns out that most of the bars we went to were closing/closed. Oh well, we picked a new bar. They're new to Reno, so I'm sure they'll have this worked out as time goes on, but it would be helpful if they were certain that a bar was open before you pedaled your way over there. 2) If I had to do it again, I'd book a three-hour trip, but still only stop at three places (maaaaaybe four). I felt a little bit rushed between locations, and it would have been nice to have had time to maybe have two beers in a location. I'm sure you can work this out with them if you call ahead (and are booking the whole bike). read more

Two thumbs up!! This was so much fun!! We decided to do it very last minute. We called the business and Sara was very accommodating and squeezed us in. The Brew Bike showed up just in time and so did everyone who was scheduled at that time. We did not know each other bout we hit it off. Our driver, Kyle, was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable. He suggested a few routes and we all decided to go to Midtown. Our first stop was Death & Taxes or Pinion. As I am not a beer drinker my boyfriend and me went to Death & Taxes and took the opportunity to wonder and peek in the new location of Midtown Eats. From there we went to The Saint where sat at the patio, had a drink and played pool. Next stop was 1894. The bar tender recommended lavender lemon drops ... so yummy!! The night was flying by and we still wanted to hit Royce. I am new in town and wanted to see as much as possible. Royce was surprisingly nice. It was a warm night and after so much peddling their refresher was the perfect choice. It was time to go back to where all started and Kyle chose a beautiful route. We rode along the river, the bridge and enjoyed all the lights and hustle & bustle from a night out on the town. I highly recommend this rather if you are a local or visiting will not be disappointed. I've been telling my friends back in LA about it and showing them pics they want to do it. I will include it on our to do list when we have people from out of town. You can go wrong with this: you get to see the town, experience different bars, meet people and even squeeze in a workout. I booked the brew bike for my friends bachelorette party and boy am I glad I did! I do not drink beer but I had a great time anyway. Our bike driver was Duke and he was amazing. He danced along to Britney and Nsync without a care in the world. We went to little bars all around the downtown Reno area and got to taste a variety of cocktails in addition to beers. The bike itself is pretty comfy and you do not have to work too hard to pedal. We had people taking our pictures the entire time and dancing along to the music.
