In November of 2024 I was the lucky, lucky winner of an amazing donated prize by Dr. Casse at Reno Tahoe Dermatology. She donated a total body package worth $5500 to the Nevada Women's Fund. I never win anything and I'm so fortunate to have won this one! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It took almost a year because of my schedule but I just finished using the gift!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have severe lower lumber scoliosis, about a 56 degree curve. I live with daily back pain and doctors always tell me to lose weight and strengthen my core. In July I started a high protein diet and then October started my total body package which spanned 3 weeks. I cannot explain how much stronger I feel!!! My back pain is not as bad as it was when I started. The tone and then sculpt treatments have started a nice base of strength that I can work from. I plan to do a monthly maintenance for 6 months. The process was a heat treatment (truSculpt I think) that works on melting a fat layer (I don't know all the terms). Then there was 4 tone "flex" treatments and 2 sculpt "flex" treatments. I called it the ab-anater because it's the near equivalent of 15,000 crunches. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Marina is the provider for this service and she is phenomenal!! She's so kind and supportive. I've been dealing with dermatologists for the better part of 15 yrs. I'm 35 yrs old, but have struggled with acne my entire adult life. It hit me late. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Cassé. She listens and takes what I have to say into her approach. The last derm i saw, i practically begged for spironolactone (oral), and was strung along with "wanting to try this first" . When i KNEW my skin reacted best to spironolactone. The very first time i saw Dr. Cassé, she listened. I love her bedside manner.. she's genuine & kind. I know dermatologist are extra busy in this area and the wait list to be seen is longggg, but i really do recommend just making that appointment. No matter how far out - time flys - and you'll be so happy you waited to see her. I also love their product lines they carry. Extremely Disappointed with Reno Tahoe Dermatology [[HIGHLIGHT]]This has been the absolute worst experience I've had with a doctor's office.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been taking my daughter to Reno Tahoe Dermatology for a couple of years now, and despite spending over $3,000, we've seen little to no improvement in her condition. What pushed me over the edge was a recent bill for over $300 for a routine visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called to ask why the charge was so high, the staff was vague and unhelpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They couldn't explain the cost beyond saying it was due to the billing code used. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spent 28 minutes on the phone and got no real answers--just a long-winded explanation that ended with them telling me I'd need to schedule an appointment to discuss it further.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Why would I waste more time and money going in when they could have simply explained it over the phone? Bottom line: I've paid thousands with no results, and when I ask for clarification, they can't provide it. I'm extremely disappointed and will be looking elsewhere for care. read more

I had a great experience with the APRN Alexis. I have been to several dermatologists in the past and I have never had hands on and supportive care in the past. My acne had worsened and my previous dermatologist at a different location wasn't listening to me. Alexis was a breath of fresh air. She put gloves on and actually ASSESSED my skin. I've never had a dermatologist do that and I am so happy she did. She knew exactly what I needed to get a good complexion. I am getting compliments that my skin is looking better already and it's only been 3 weeks on my new regimen. My heart hurts thinking about others who may encounter the intense lack of empathy, patient care, and understanding that I did this morning. I have never left a negative review on anyone or anything in my life - I truly believe seeing the good in every person and every situation/circumstance. This is specifically to address the nurse practitioner, Alexis Erlach, I never met with the Dr. My first appointment was standard, Alexis was very matter of fact, not friendly or personable at all but hey that's not why I'm there, moving on. She prescribed a treatment and set a follow up for 2 weeks. I was disappointed that my history wasn't reviewed nor the potential side effects of the med, but moving on. My follow up left me in tears... I arrived and was seen 45 minutes late (again, so much grace, health care is unpredictable and their systems were all down). I was feeling anxious because my condition worsened after the prescribed medication. I did call to talk about some of the side effects but it was brushed off and no one returned my call. Alexis walked in with a male I was not introduced to wearing street clothes.. I actually had to ask "and who is this?" She explained it was her assistant but I felt uncomfortable as I was undressed and there was no assistant my first visit. He also looked uncomfortable and turned away when I was showing her something under the drape. I got emotional and kindly asked if he could step out, he said yes and started to open the door and Alexis told him not to leave (what in the world). She proceeded to move forward after I directly asked for him to step out so I had to again tell her I felt uncomfortable... it was so awkward and the poor guy looked horrified that she wouldn't let him leave. I even suggested he step out just for a moment while I showed her and then he could come back. She explained (with zero affect on her face almost like I was not a human) that was the "standard of care so he could document for her." At this point I knew I didn't feel safe or respected so I asked kindly to end the appointment... to which she responded "gladly!" She then offered to get a female assistant but it felt like I was back in high school, petty, condescending, judgmental staring as I was crying. It doesn't matter who is in the room at this point, no health care "professional" should ever treat someone this way. I hope every "patient" remembers that there are plenty of providers who will treat you with kindness and respect, please do not settle! I would never recommend Reno Tahoe Dermatology if you appreciate compassion, collaboration, or just human DIGNITY. read more
