We had them fix multiple holes cut into drywall (including texture, paint, and reinstallation of base molding) as well as replace a broken tile floor in our bathroom. I was very pleased with the quality of the work they did, as well as the friendliness and professionalism of everyone I interacted with- from Evan who did our estimate to Patrick our project manager to Immanuel and Carlos who did the work. Everyone arrived on time, did exactly what they needed to do and did it well, and even took the time to teach me a few of their tricks. They did excellent work to repair my floors and everything associated with making things right after repairs had finished. Sam organized everything from start to finish and made the process easy, working with a number of sub contractors to get everything done right. Movers were brought in to move appliances, when the appliances were reinstalled, a plumber and electrician came out (sub-contracted by Sam) to make sure things were done right. The floors ended up looking incredible and loved what they were able to accomplish in a week's time. After the flooring, there was paint damage from the plastic and tape they hung up to block dust from the floors, Sam has someone coming out this weekend to paint it for me and will be all done after that :) read more

I don't see how this abomination of a repair company stays in business. We were blessed (NOT!) with them as next on the list from USAA. Had to get the USAA arbitration group involved on almost every repair RUI did. It took 6 months and 3 tries to get our skylights put in, the last we just decided to accept although they are scratched up, to just get rid of having to deal with RUI. They had to repaint every time they painted something. Left a mess all over the yard and in the house including nails, tape, paint drips, and too many other things to mention. They kept telling us the shingles we picked out were back ordered and ended up just giving us whatever they could get without letting us see it before they installed it. They went silent for a month and then told us we had a new project manager. They were on time and actually showed up when they said they would when it was time to sign the check from the insurance company over to them. read more

If I could give them zero Stars I would! I've been trying for 2 years to get them to come in and complete warranty work on the black hardwood floors they installed in my house. They are separated at the seams and some of the planks are bubbling from being tapped into place too hard. I think they're waiting until my warranty expires so they don't have to fix anything. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH RUI. Absolutely horrific experience, and shameful that they get even ONE star for their awful workmanship and shoddy business practices. They were recommended by our insurance company (USAA) for water damage repairs, and it was the worst customer experience I have ever encountered. First, RUI attempted to show up without scheduling a day/time with us. (Like many people, we work outside the home). After multiple no-shows & no-calls, and after multiple attempts to re-schedule, when they finally did get to the repair, their work was extremely careless, very slow, and it took multiple trips to finish even basic tasks like baseboard trim... and the job was left incomplete for several weeks (simple painting white trim inside a closet). Then, many months after the work was finally completed, without them sending us single invoice, bill, or any correspondence whatsoever, we were threatened with a lien on our property...all when they should have been billing the insurance company instead. If using insurance for a claim in Colorado, ensure they do NOT select Repairs Unlimited / RUI contractors for ANY repair work. Do business with Repairs Unlimited AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

Was very disappointed and selecting this company to do my repairs on my house after the hailstorm in May. My insurance company recommended them and at first it seemed like a good idea that they would complete the roof the painting the windows everything that the hail damaged. Ernie the contractor that's who I dealt with. It seem like the repairs that were being was with cheap materials and cheap employees. The roofers did not put down a tarp to catch all the nails and shingles they tore off it left a mess all around my house. I contacted the contractor who assured me they would clean it up and of course they didn't I'm still fighting nails and pieces of shingles everywhere. The painter came out did not scrape fill-in or do a very good job at all. I was very unhappy with the paint. I do not recommend this company and I did let my insurance company know read more

I've been using Repairs Unlimited for about ten years and have been favorably impressed with all their work which has cost me over $17,000. They've put on a new roof, built a walk-in shower in the bathroom, repaired a fence panel that blew down in a windstorm, installed a new kitchen dishwasher/bathroom sink, and repaired my sagging back deck and stairs. Each job was accomplished on time and to my complete satisfaction. They're trustworthy and don't "pad" their expenses, resulting in a superb product at a reasonable expense. I've dealt with several of their personnel and have been impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. We were referred to Repairs Unlimited by USAA, which has never let us down in 40 years. True to form Repairs Unlimited were extremely professional. Within 24 hours after a windstorm blew our fence out, Brad Lofland and his team had coordinated an estimate for repair with USAA, got all the paperwork taken care of and were authorized to repair our property. He kept in touch with us pretty much everyday and helped us with added services like a security fence. Brad's contractor is a workhorse. He replaced the fence posts in one day and rebuilt the fence the next. We have him on video and he's amazingly fast. Then they cleaned up the whole area and it looks brand-new. Great Job! read more

I didn't read the Yelp reviews before booking our basement refurb, and am really surprised reading the other reviews. We had a really great experience with Tony and Cole. Really nice guys who really got the job done. Our PM, Cole made sure that the subs came on time and checked in personally after each portion of the job. Plus he was a real gentleman. I couldn't be happier with my entire experience with Repairs Unlimited and I highly recommend them! My basement flooded when an exterior pipe burst, and USAA referred me to them. I admit I was a little anxious by the prior negative reviews, especially since I've had some *bad* experience with contractors previously -- eg, a prior flooring guy straight up ghosted before finishing a job -- but I'm so glad that I went with these guys! Jerrod Dool and Jake Kovar were both incredibly responsive, up front and on top of everything from the insurance and project management side. The costs and timelines made sense and they stuck to them. As for the work itself, we really liked Esdras and his team -- they did the work well, keep to the time frames, and did a good job cleaning up afterwards. (I wish calling out cleanliness weren't a thing, but our last outdoor contractor left his tools and trash all over the yard when he finished, so...). Needless to say, Repairs Unlimited, particularly Jerrod, Jake and Esdras, are going to be my go-to group for contracting work going forward. read more

I was assigned this contractor by USAA. It took three weeks to get the work scheduled (I was told 1 to 1.5 weeks). The project manager didn't bother to tell me the workman had finished the job, I had to follow-up to confirm the workers were not coming back. The workmen were supposed to fix the shower, but in the process they broke the toilet. That issue is still not resolved; I've still not had someone from Repairs Unlimited confirm the shower issue is fully repaired. I've been told it will be another week before they can send someone to "discuss issues" and then schedule repairs for the toilet they broke. This company is a wealth of incompetence. read more

I really couldn't be more displeased with the service that Repairs Unlimited provided. Last year we had a roof leak that turned into a ceiling collapse and an asbestos abatement. A nightmare to say the least. Repairs Unlimited was recommended by my insurance provider, so we went with them. Over the course of 6 months, we had 3 different general contractors because they kept leaving the company. One thing was clear across all three, however: Repairs Unlimited had the interest of the insurance company in mind, not that of the customer. They cut corners everywhere they could. They left details unfinished. They took weeks (if not months at times) to get back to us. A year after we were able to move back into the house, there are still flaws and damaged areas that were caused by poor installation by Repairs Unlimited. The company now refuses to fix the issues. The experience working with them has been absolutely horrible, I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

They were recommended to me by my insurance company and after doing a self inspection when they asked for final payment I found out that they didn't repair half the things they claimed they did! They completely forgot to install the gutter guards, replace the furnace vent, and both window well covers. They also used very cheap materials and TERRIBLE craftsmanship. They came back out to finish up the repairs ONLY after I called my insurance company and reported them for insurance fraud. Mark would not return my phone calls or emails. Again they are asking for final payment and again they forgot to repair something. Still no response from my emails. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more

WARNING.. Do not use Repairs Unlimited. We had a claim with our insurance (USAA) and USSA has repairs unlimited as one of there preferred contractors. We fired their first supposed general contractors. The second contractor from repairs unlimited sent out was Ernie Martinez, was not any better, he did just like the first contractor lied all the time said his crews were always at the house when they really weren't. I told him I could tell him all the times his workers were at the house and he did not want to listen. Ernie continued to lie threw the entire job. I keep telling Ernie what his workers were doing wrong and he would do absolutely nothing about it. I have ten years experience in construction, I know enough to know a bad job compared to a good job. There crews damage property they refuse to fix. They also threatened to put a lien on my house if we did not sign the final check from the insurance. I have pictures of all the poor work done, so I am very happy to share with anybody to show as many people out there to stay away from Repair Unlimited. It took repairs unlimited over one year to do job that should have only take six months tops. Repairs Unlimited does not deserve the one star rating but sense I have to I'll give them the lowest rating. read more

I'm disgusted that I have to give Repairs Unlimited even one star. Our home burned down in 2011. After 27 months (that's two years and three months!) of this "contractor" overcharging us, not sending workers when he swore people were on the site (we were, but no workers were), and shoddy workmanship, we finally got back into our house. We were paying both our mortgage and rent on a furnished apartment the entire time. That nearly bankrupted us! The first Christmas we were back home, a pipe burst and flooded an upstairs bathroom and the kitchen below because no insulation had been installed. Ernie blamed it on us somehow and refused to make it right. That was just one of many, many construction defects and work left undone. Just now, we discovered that the vent for our gas fireplace in the living room was not installed. That fireplace hasn't worked since the rebuild, but we seldom use the room and haven't bothered to find out why. However, we'll have a houseful of people this holiday and wanted to greet them with a fire in the hearth. Now we have to find someone to install a vent, something that Ernie and his unskilled workers should have done and were paid to do. That brings up another point. I'm a retired teacher, and my husband and I had only my pension acquired over my 35-year career to live on when he retires. In order for us to get our home back from "Repairs" Unlimited, we had to use all but a few thousand dollars of my pension. Every few weeks, Ernie would call and say he needed another $7,000 or $8,000. Our loss of our retirement fund was a result of this company overcharging and double-charging us for numerous items that should have been adequately covered by our insurance.
