I have been lifting weights for close to two years now, but have struggled mentally with adding weight to my leg days because of a previous ankle injury. While the injury is completely healed and I've been thru PT, I find myself constantly worrying about my form and aggravating the injury by adding weight. After speaking to my nutritionist about my apprehension, she suggested going to PLEX to have them set me straight and provide me with guidance. I was easily able to schedule over the phone for a Tuesday morning session. The trainer I worked with was very knowledgeable and welcoming. He gave me a quick tour of the facility and explained that all kinds of people work out at the gym. When I walked into the actual gym, my first thought was that I never in a million years would have stepped foot into this type of place a couple years ago...but I quickly reminded myself how crazy I was to think this - because everyone was so nice and warm. For the next hour, my trainer led me thru a whole circuit of light weights, bands, sprints, ropes, abs, etc. and while I was breathing heavier, had an elevated heart rate and dripping with sweat - I was loving every minute of it! He had me complete a lot of challenging agility drills and that really pushed my limits with my ankle, but it was a lot of fun. While this gym is a little out of the way than my usual place, I can definitely see myself making visits part of my routine to change things up and continue to strengthen my ankle. I'm really interested in trying a class sometime soon. I definitely recommend PLEX, regardless of your fitness level or knowledge.

I needed to get the third pfizer covid vaccine does for my 12 month old. The clinic I was…read morepreviously using did not have any openings for a while. I called this clinic and they said they could do his vaccine. I arrived for his appointment and the staff was all very nice and friendly and everything looked very clean. We were moved next door to another waiting room and they asked to see his vaccine card which I provided. They asked me why I was getting a third dose and I said because the Pfizer vaccine for infants is 3 doses. She asked me but who told you that you needed a third dose. I was kind of stumped and responded Pfizer and tx childrens told me...... She said I'll be right back and left with my son's vaccine card. At this point I am extremely unconfutable with having my son vaccinated here as they clearly do not even know the vaccine schedule. If she had not have taken the vaccine card I would have just left. So I waited a bit then she came back and said they don't have the pfizer infant dose. I said I was told that y'all did when I called and scheduled a couple of days ago. She apologized and said that they do not have it. So the whole thing wound up being a waste of time. So while everyone was very nice, there is some communication issues with their scheduling staff as well as some education issues. If they are administering vaccines, they should at least be aware of the vaccine schedule. I did really like that this clinic is smaller and it felt like you got more individualized attention versus other pediatric clinics that always seem overcrowded.
