Service was requested at our Bridgewood North Apartments for several days in a row and what we were told was, "OH, we forgot". Our containers were overfilled and trash lying around. When they finally did arrive, they emptied the containers but left trash lying around and the containers were sitting out on the parking lot, not put back in their spots. I took pictures. We pay a monthly bill for this service. What is going on? IN ADDITION, they came out twice and what appeared to be a manager, maybe(?). Fist bumped the employee as if a good job was done. NO. There was trash piled up Behind the dumpster also. DO YOUR JOBS!!!! read more

Terrible service but they have the market in my area as we have no other options. We have an ongoing issue with the driver not emptying our yard or recycle waste containers. Makes absolutely no sense because they get the neighbors but miss ours? We call and complain only to get a laundry list of excuses; was it in the right place, was it overfilled, did you put it out late, we are short staffed.... It's pure laziness and lack of accountability. The can is in the same spot weekly, on time and not overfilled...how hard is it to provide the service we pay for. read more

Update* They told me these have the same capacities. Lies!!! They have the same width but not height! They do not have the same capacities and won't credit the account. I don't think they have an honest or smart team, which is why they have horrible reviews. To Dumb to see theses aren't the same and calculate a credit on the account. read more

If minus five stars were a possibility, this business would receive a minus six. I have had an ongoing issue with Republic Services, yes surprisingly just one: Due to a years-long problem with rats accessing our open dumpster, I have requested from the driver, "Jerry" that the lids to the dumpster be closed after the rubbish has been removed. All I have ever got as a response from this driver was: NOTHING but rude responses. Having lived myself in upper management, I have called many times requesting that an upper management person call me back to discuss these issues and yet the problem exists to this very day. A driver this morning could not have cared less when I approached to request that the lids be lowered and merely drove away while WAVING ME OFF. There have been returned calls assuring me that the issue will be resolved, it has not. Despite my many request to have a person of upper management status return my complaint call, they have not. Clearly they are TOO WEAK OR THEY THEMSELVES ARE THE DIRECT REFLECTION OF THIS BEHAVIOR, WHICH I CAN ONLY IMAGINE, MAY NOW BE PERCEIVED AS POLICY. As a proud openly Mexican male from LA, I am embarrassed by these drivers, who they themselves are of the same culture. Lastly, I cannot help but address the irony that the word SERVICE is in their name, when good a customer SERVICE from the very top of this organization to the drivers, is nowhere to be found. Do not rely on Republic Services, I certainly cannot. Note: I have just received a call from someone claiming to be a supervisor. When I asked what they were prepared to do to resolve this matter, all I heard was, "we will try to fix this." Doing is doing, only trying is failing. Repeat: Do not rely on Republic Services, I certainly cannot. read more

Republic recycling hasn't provided service to this condo complex for over a week. They would not return my calls to complain about the lousy customer service of their drivers. This failure of service has caused a serious health, safety and fire hazard. read more

I would give this company a minus 10 stars if I could as a customer and a wife of a Republic employee. As a customer this service is terrible, messy and no curtesy at all. I often wonder if we are skipped? As a wife of a front loader trash truck driver o have heard lots of stories about "favorites" drivers with AC and others without. Drivers who can be out of uniform and others who can't. Drivers who skip stops and are not told to go back and others who are written up and suspended or even put on a last chance contract. Dispatch is allowed to disrespect the drivers. This company has great pay and great benefits, Union but this company does not treat their employees well at all. ) (not the favorites anyway) this is not an excuse at all, but I'm guessing this is why I see so many bad reviews about the drivers. Management does not seem like management or seem like they have the proper training. Ms P in our area in very rude and very passive aggressive and if she does not like you she will end your career PERIOD. This is a hard hot job. These guys are not treated well and though it is work and they should do a great job regardless I CAN see why it's hard to. I wish there were more waste management options in our city! read more

I ordered a roll off a week ago. Payment immediately taken from my account and expected next day delivery. After a week later and at least 10 phone calls, no roll off has been delivered. At least 4 of the phone calls I was told truck is in route to my location. Never showed up. Very disappointed. read more

I was not able to navigate the web site to find out if there was a delay in services due to MLK Day. I called and got the information, but was also told to check the web site, which gave me no information whatsoever on holidays that delay service. I suggest that you Republic Service actually try to find that information on your own website. Then fix it. read more

We are a county island and are stuck with this horrible company. They frequently miss scheduled pickups and leave me and my neighbors with overflowing trash cans lining our entire block. This is a paid service, and absolutely nobody working there treats us like paying customers! Zero stars read more

I made my monthly payment 2 weeks ago and they have FAILED to pick up my trash that is now infested with maggots in this hot weather I have called EVERY SINGLE DAY they have FAILED to throw my trash, including Recycle!!!! They keep giving me BS Excuses why they haven't picked up. They refused to let me talk to a manager/supervisor. We attempted to wave down the Driver as he passed by my Over flowing trash, he hesitated to stop then kept on going!!! I am Absolutely upset with their HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Customer service! I called over 5x today and they ignored my call, I'm sure they have caller ID and don't want to deal with me! This is the WORST customer service I've ever received from anyone! I dont even want to give them 1 read more

Automaticly added 4 stars.to my complaint. Im tired of watching truck number 2422 sleeping for hours. Pulled up for his nap at 11:16 this morning le at 1:15. I've complained by phone 3 times. Was assured it would be handled. Ask for supervisor 2 times. Was assured I would be called back. My money is going to a lazy employee I'm not happy about it and republic does not care. Ill start knocking on his door to let him know nap is over I guess. Shameful bussiness practices. read more

I'm going to start off this review by stating that my options for trash service are extremely limited. I live in an unincorporated part of Fresno, and so I don't have the privilege of choosing my trash service provider. I am stuck with Republic Service. Trust me, I would change if I could. Thankfully, unlike the other poor reviews, they haven't missed any pick up dates for picking up cans (yet, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it stays that way!). However, I have found that they consistently make a mess when they empty the cans and never pick up after themselves. I took a picture of the mess they left behind this past week after they "emptied" the green waste bin, but spilled it all over the curb and ran over it, leaving me to clean up the mess after they left it. I picked all that grass up once, I don't want to have to pick it up again due to somebody else's laziness and negligence. It's disgusting. They also constantly knock down cans and don't pick them back up resulting in damage to the cans. Holes and breaks in the can's plastic due to this cause trash juice to seep out all over my driveway leaving an unpleasant site and smell. Judging from the other reviews on here, I'd say you need to do better. read more

Republic Services Fresno - Green waste spilled all over and not cleaned up, can knocked down - Dumpster Rental Near Me - Fresno, California

For the last t weeks I put out my green waste dumpster, and it was never emptied, even though my neighbors' green waste dumpsters were emptied during that same 4 weeks. The 4th week, I pushed the dumpster much further out into the street so that it could not be missed. Even so, this green waste dumpster was never picked up. I called the City of Clovis to report it. A person from Republic called me back. They said thete was nothing tagged for any problems, and that it should be picked up today. read more

This review is specifically for Patty Gibbs in the billing department. She went out of her way to help me with an issue. I manage corporate trash accounts and one of them in Fresno needed more service ASAP. The enclosure was too small for an additional bin and we left having to have staff take extra trash to the dump! Patty saved the day! She managed to find a way to take care of us and I just truly appreciate her customer service. I myself have been in the CS industry for over 20 years and I just want her to know she rocks!!! read more

I watched the republic truck empty my trash and recycling in the same truck on 04/21/2023 at around 12:30pm. Aren't they supposed to be in different trucks!?! What's the point of having two bins of they are not recycling? read more

This company is the worst. They continue to miss days and then the trash bins become overflowing. They finally come and pick the trash up and the overflowing trash bags land on the ground. They do not pick them up because it's not in their contract to do so but they were the ones at fault for the overflow in the first place. Now you can't close the gate to lock the trash bin inclosure up nor do they close and lock the enclosure like we paid them to do. It's been like this for quite some time now. Definitely would use another company if there were more companies in town that does this kind of service. read more

So..this review is primarily about the driver who picked up my recycling. He happened to find my airpods that I left outside my home (my bad yes) however I tracked my airpods (Find my device) to him/his truck and followed them on his route. I called his supervisor who ultimately said the driver said he didn't have them and they were probably in the trash he picked up. Well unless he drove the work truck to his house and was able to charge them from the trash he a damn LIAR! I am still tracking them and they showed up at his address which I have and have proof. This just shows he is not a good samaritan. AND im pretty sure Republic doesn't want a LIAR working for them. I will be contacting someone above his supervisor tomorrow and sending screenshots with proof. Its the principle at this point. read more

Believe me, if I could cancel this service from Republic & use another company, I would. This is the worst service I have ever had. Unfortunately, they are the only company who serves my area. Republic, if you treat other customers like you have treated me & had any competition, you would be out of business!! read more

Here we go again!!! Two months after the initial report of a missed pickup, I am still calling this company every week regarding the same situation. Every time I call, the customer service rep will say, "oh, you're on schedule for the next day. I will escalate this to a manager". Well, guess what? The issue has not been resolved and I have not heard from a manager(and I have requested for one to call or email). This explains the culture of this company. I feel bad for the "good" people working there. They must feel ashamed to have to stand behind this company. We have trash (motor oil, needles, feces, food, diapers, and much more) in our recycle bin due to being told to leave it out over the weekend. I will be sending photos to my friends at the Health Department and see of these items are supposed to be in the recycle bin. I am out of option since I was told that we are required to have trash service and can not put the account on hold. My next option is to stop payment. read more
