Disabled Carry-Out Service I have been trying since July 14, 2026 to get this service on my account. I had faxed the application, emailed it and mailed it. I finally got a call from someone who told me the service was now on my account and they would start picking it up on August 11. They skipped that date as well as August 18 and again on August 24. I keep calling them and they send someone to pick it up. Last week they didn't come till the next day. Horrible service. I don't have a choice and even though their agents in the call center tell me things are going to happen, the drivers obviously don't care. read more

Horrible service - They are the only one who can service my area, and I feel they take advantage of that. Had signs out to Please Please (yes, I wrote it twice) to remember to take some garbage and of course they did not. Did not even leave a note. Call dispatch and they want to charge to make them come pick up what they missed! They can get out of their truck to dump out what they don't want or to leave notes on the garbage can but they can't pick up any thing that they tipped over. read more

I called with an issue that began as a missed pick up. I spoke with a lady on 1/25/25 around 845am that was very helpful. She even took the time to research why my bin wasn't picked up. Come to find out the driver could see some material in my recycling bin that would contaminate the recycle efforts and left it behind for that reason. I leave this review to remind myself and others that, sometimes there's a good reason...learn about it before getting upset and to take the time to say something good, not just to complain :) THANKS REPUBLIC! read more

Republic Services Meridian Transfer Station - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Meridian, Idaho

Horrible service. I occasionally have extra boxes to recycle but I always break them down and this time I placed them neatly on top of my recycling bin. They came by this morning and the guy got out dumped them all over my driveway and took off. I called customer service they said they'd file a complaint and have them come back. Hours later nothing. This company has horrible customer service and this isn't the first complaint I've had. read more

They aren't great. I feel like they know they are one of a few places in town that do what they do, and simply take advantage. I had a bin from them for a remodel. They didn't pick it up when they said they would, came late, never called. Zero communication. It's a disappointing customer experience with them for sure. read more

The guys who actually do the work for Republic Services here in Nampa are great. They are usually very helpful and polite. However the same can NOT be said for the women who answer their phone. I've only called Republic Services twice in the last three years and both times the females who answered the phone were "curt" and frankly just plain rude BOTH times. After having an issue where a driver forgot to empty my recycle bin and dealing with customer service things got worse. After being lied to by customer service saying my bins weren't they claimed to have pictures. The picture was of my mailbox. No street view, no sidewalk view, nothing! I was told the driver wouldn't lie about it not being there! Well they did lie. The next week the driver deliberately drove past my trash can. I watched him look right at it. So I moved it across the street and waited for him to come back. He passed me up again as I was standing there. Customer service is such a joke telling me that I would need to pay to have him come back out. I sure wish there was another trash company in the valley. read more

I wasnt delivered my second trash can so I called in and spoke with Katie at the meridian office. Everyone I've talked to has been great except her. If her boss knew how she talked to customers he would probably have a major conversation with her... Her customer service is Def sub par. Edit: someone calls me back to tell me they delivered the second trash can with the bin number. I tell them I got the extra recycle but not the trash can. She implies that I'm lying saying "well they delivered it I'm not sure what to tell you". I ask if they can track it by the bin number she says no and tells me to see if one of my neighbors took it. I'm not going to go to my neighbors and peep around their homes looking at their trash bin numbers. Who does that and tells someone else to! read more

Our Trash pickup is "scheduled" for Tuesdays! This week no pickup on our street or the street behind us, called twice and emailed and they told us that the trash would "finally" be picked up by 7:00 PM Thursday. It's 7:30 PM Thursday and STILL NO trash pick up.. How does this get solved ???? read more

Pick up for our neighborhood is on Tuesdays, our pick up day came and went and our trash bin was still full. I called the next day to inform them our bin still needed service, I was told they would add me to the current days pick up. Wednesday came and went and no pick up, I called again on Thursday and was now told that they could only request the drivers do a pick up but could not guarantee a pick up. I don't understand how they believe its ok to charge me for services not rendered. Bad customer service is bad enough, but non existent service is unacceptable! read more

Great service by a very considerate driver! I live in South Meridian, ID and had forgotten to put my trash and recycling out last night. I remembered this morning when I heard one of the trucks. I was hurriedly getting things ready and had just opened my garage door when the recycling truck was passing by my house. I thought "oh well - will just have to wait until next time". But, he saw me, stopped, backed up and got out of his truck so he could get my recycling! I didn't expect that and he certainly did not need to do that. Wish I would've gotten his name so I could mention him specifically. Kudos to Republic and to this specific gentleman! read more

I have tried for a year to close an account for a house that I sold. Every month they bill me for something new. I have no recourse and am constantly given reassurances that I have closed the account and then I get another bill. I have paid hundreds of dollars beyond when I used their services and have been given no forgiveness or assistance. I find them at the very least not customer oriented and at the most highly unethical. In this time of unprecedented unemployment and stress, I would have hoped they could give me a break, but they steal more money from me again and again. read more

Normally I do not leave low ratings, and just let things go. However, this past sanitation pick up cycle, Thursday May 2nd, it has gone too far. Not only did the sanitation worker not pick up the garbage (broken plastic lattice), he threw it across the sidewalk away from the bin. Then, proceeded to break our 2nd trash can handle by throwing it against the truck (yes, its an approved container). Basically, now we are left with a bin full of plastic lattice and our personal second trash bin thats now broken, and no pick up for another week. I will not assume this is normal for other neighborhoods. I can state this has been ongoing for this route and it is obvious there is no supervisor or manager willing to step up and correct this issue for the customers. The bad part is the snide looks we will get by having to stack full trash bags bags next to our bins due to the bins already being full of the trash they decided to pick up this week. Guess Republic should have thought of that today. Next step, contact Ada County and Boise City to file a more formal complaint. read more

I try to do my part and recycle as much as can be recycled. I recently discovered that Republic Services provides glass recycling collection in our area, so I signed up, pre-paid the quarterly bill and started recycling all of our glass. This was in August early August. They failed to collect our glass in August; collected it September (thank goodness), and then yesterday FAILED again to collect it in October. When I called to ask for a credit, they were not very nice and made me feel as though it was my fault it did not get collected, saying the driver indicated the cart was not out on the curb when he came by. I explained we always place the carts out the night prior to collection day and that it WAS out on the curb, but that maybe he went to the wrong address. He acted as thought he did not believe me and finally said he would send the driver out to collect it. When the driver came by he left a magnet with collection days as well as a large sticker that read that carts needed to be out on the curb by 7AM. I am disappointed in their service and customer service. read more

I have repeatedly requested a replaced trashcan because mine has a crack down the entire backside. I was originally told I would receive on mid-April but when I called back they said not until April 30th. I had to initiate the call to find out about the delay. Then April 30th came and still nothing. the following trash pick up day, there was once again no new trashcan. I called today (May 9th) and complained again and was told they don't know when a new order will come in. I pay for this service and I can't believe there are no trashcans that can't be replaced! Lot of good things about Ada county but the recycling program here is not one of the them. I've lived a lot of places and have rental properties in several more and I've never seen a recycling program that is as averse to recycling as this one. Now, I know why most people here tell me they don't even bother. I've never seen a recycling service that wouldn't pick up your cut and flattened boxes or glass and plastic recyclables. You want me to cut and basically shred my cardboard so it fits in the container but you won't take shredded paper?? Do you know how many cut boxes fit in a container??? And somehow I'm supposed to put some boxes in a container and then find something to do with the rest of the recyclables for 2 wks until they pick up again. They only come every 2 wks because people don't bother and just throw everything in the trash. The guy in charge of this program should be fired. read more

This is absolutely the worst trash collection service and transfer station I have ever dealt with in my entire life. It starts off with their trucks that come around once a week and while they are attempting to pick up my garbage, there is always trash left in my street that hangs on the truck. I actually make a trip in to the office and ask them may I please have additional cans, and they tell me that the larger cans are not available at the moment. So I tell them OK I will wait until they are available don't bring me the little ones. And within 24 hours I have two little ones sitting in front of my curb. And god for bid you actually bring anything to their transfer station, you will wait in line, and talk to a smart mouth clerk, that is they're charging you $22 for some random household trash. We're not talking appliances lawnmowers water heaters barbecues tires, none of that trash. 50% of it had to be cardboard. Today I decided to take some cardboard down there and get it recycled, about 15 flattened boxes the sign says free, but the clerk said nope it's going to be $11 for you sir. So now, I think I will put a call into corporate, because it is blatantly obvious that management in this location is of piss poor quality read more

My dad does construction work and often dumps wood refuse at the location off Franklin in Meridian. His trailer doesn't change in size but the amount he pays (even though he loads the trailer close to same every time) does. On 5/24 in the morning, this older, skinny man approached my dad and said $60. My dad said "I was here yesterday and it was $45." The man answered simply: "$75". My dad said: "Can you at least measure it?" The man answered: "$90". My dad asked to speak to a supervisor. Skinny man got on walkie talkie and another man cam to speak to him. After they spoke for a length of time, he came to my dad and said he would measure the trailer. He measured the refuse from highest point on trailer and did not count the "holes" (where refuse simply dips since it is not all square and even"). My dad asked him "Do you think that is right?" The man said "You are right, 4 cubic yards." My dad agreed simply to get going even though it was still going to be $60. Once he got to pay, he got his card out and in return was given a receipt for 4 cubic yards AND 1 yard of M&S for another $13, total of $73 (Weighmaster Alan P.). My dad used a different entrance to the same yard, with similar load and no issues $45 (Weighmaster Linda N.). The day before similar load and no issues $45 (Weighmaster Honor D.). I will say that my dad has a heavy accent and cannot help but think that this was an absolute discrimination because I know he would not dare talk to me (his son with no accent) OR any other American without accent.
