Came home to trash from my cans all over and my neighbors had the same. As I was cleaning up I also noticed damage to my car that was parked in front of my home!! Called and reported this.. the operator was nice and told me " we take this very seriously " and filed a report for me. I got one call and was told they would come out the next day and meet with me... never came, never rescheduled! I had to call two more times and then was asked to send in the pics of my car... did this and then heard nothing!!! Called back and was told " we are looking at the tapes from the truck and we will get back to u"! Never heard back!! Reached back out and was told " we revised the tapes and it wasn't our truck.. sorry for the bad news"!! I want my car fixed!! if I had other choices I would change who my family has pick up our trash because this company DOES MOT CARE ABIUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AT ALL!! read more

I'm a recent transplant to Star from Orange County, CA, where I also had Republic for our waste management. I had some issues with Republic there, however, I have been pleased so far with my experience with Republic here in ID. They have picked up in a timely fashion and I've had no issues. Recently, I elected to switch out my 65 gal containers for 95 gal containers, especially since they only pick up recycling every other week. The person I spoke to asked my birthdate and it turns out I qualify for a senior discount. For the large containers, my bill goes up only $3 a month. My only complaint is that the customer service agent that I first signed up with didn't offer me a senior discount. They delivered my new, 95 gal containers as scheduled and took my 65 gal regular trash container. I will place my recycling out next week and they are supposed to take that container. All in all, I have had a good experience with Republic. read more

This week is free spring cleanup so I leave large items on the curb for pick up. 6 years I've called and told them what I will be leaving on the curb on my pickup day. First I get a man who's english is hard to understand. He wants to send me to bulk pickup which is incorrect because spring cleanup is free. I hang up. Call back. Get a woman who wants to send me to bulk cleanup and I said no, I will get charged for that. She sends me over anyways. I get a lady on the phone that has NO IDEA. She wants to charge me for bulk pickup. Finally I got her to realize that it's spring pickup. It's so frustrating that this is what we have come down. Oil or hydraulic fluid stains everywhere in our Subdivision. I've complained a couple times and gave them the location where it occurs and nothing happens. Don't say you will address the problem when you know nothing will be done. Terrible customer service! read more

Requested a broken garbage can to be replaced. Was supposed to be picked on 7/9, it was not, yet had been curbside since 7/7. The can has one wheel now and can't be put back on. Emailed again, replacement scheduled for 7/15. Was it done? Oh you guessed it, nope! It's now 7/18 and I'm being charged for 2 cans but can only use one. Customer rep said they'd have dispatch call, did they? No again! This doesn't need to be this complicated or take this long. Super frustrating experience. read more

Mixed feelings about the company. Service is not consistent, be it what time of day my bins are picked up, to whether they leave lawn debris bags or if the lid is an inch open on the bins. Seems like it's at their whim to pick up everything you leave out or not and I have called to check the rules beforehand. Also, at the store where I work the driver parks behind the building on off days and spends A LOT of time shopping on the clock, unless he has a really long lunch break. read more

Wouldn't take my trash because the lid wouldn't close, called to have them come pick up after I took the extra bags out, they don't come, was told they would come the next day and no surprise they didn't come. I have a large family and I need my trash bags. It is absolutely awful I was lied too. If I had the option to use someone else I would. I was told they would be out to pick this up for 2 days now and still nothing. I have called probably 15 times too. I feel They aren't coming on purpose now. I have heard nothing but awful things about the driver on our street from neighbors as it is. read more

If I could give negative 5 stars, I would! Absolutely astounding levels of incompetence! I called 3 weeks ahead of when I needed a temporary dumpster. They sent an email saying I needed to talk to the city. I called the city that day, they confirmed, and even kindly called Republic to confirm. The dumpster didn't show up when it was supposed to. I called Republic again, who said the email contract wasn't signed. I asked them to resend it, and guess what I received? The original email telling me I needed to talk to the city. I then spent 45 minutes on the phone getting a new contract sent to me, which I e-signed while on the phone, and the agent said they would try to rush the dumpster, since my relative was about to move out of my house. I called two days later only to be be told my email address had to match the email address at the city. No one had ever mentioned this before! So I talked to the city to find out which email address they had, gave it to Republic, they said they'd still try to get the dumpster delivered that day. Of course it didn't show up. I called again (got transferred between three different agents), and was told I was supposed to have signed a new contract sent to the other email address (which of course was never explained), and in any case they hadn't emailed the new contract. They said they would "resend" it. I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime my relative had to move out and leave a giant pile of trash in the garage that I'll have to pay someone to come load into the dumpster, which at this rate will probably never show up. read more

I live at 718 S Sneddon Way, Nampa ID 8368. I don't know who my service people are, wouldn't recognize them on the street, but I want to tell you they are great. They do their jobs but also a bit extra. We all lose some garbage now and then, they pick it up. They always wave and have a great attitude. They should be recognized for their efforts! Trying to keep up with "proper" trash procedure is exhausting when dealing with Republic Services. I have called them three times, each time because they failed to pick up extra trash and I, apparently, "failed" to follow procedure. Okay, what is the procedure? Well, it depends on who you talk to. Must fit in the trash can. Boxes must be broken down. Must be in a trash bag and set to the side. Must be in its own receptacle. Dear Republic Service, PICK ONE. If I had the opportunity to have another trash service, I would dump Republic Services. They're the laziest. I literally just saw a worker, get out of the truck to put the broken down boxes from one trash can into the larger trash can, but when faced having to get out of the truck again, to put a small clean cat house into the larger trash can - nope. I guess there is a mandate on how many times you can get out of the truck per house. Note: Your job is to pick up the trash, so pick it up. read more

We moved into a new subdivision a year ago and Republic Services has left oil stains on our new streets. With a little maintenance the garbage trucks wouldn't leak oil on new streets which are now stained with oil. A real dis-service to customers and a management culture that doesn't care! read more

Marty from Nampa likes to dig through our recycling bin. If he sees one thing (like a Starbucks cup... apparently that's not recyclable) he throws it on the ground in front of me and won't take our entire bin. This has happened twice in a month we have not had our bin taken. He doesn't check any ones else's recycling in the neighborhood, just ours. He burst out at me when I asked him what was going on because he never left us a note or anything so we were completely oblivious. Rude and unprofessional. I have never been treated like shit from a trashman before. read more

I had a situation and I got to deal with Matt in the customer service department. Matt was very professional in handling my situation. He followed through and had a supervisor hit my door, he was very pleasant and polite. The both of them fixed my situation and I can't "Thank" then enough. Kudos to the both of them. Jerks charged me for an entire month for no trash pickup because the snow -which everyone else managed to drive through- prevented them from driving down the alley. I was unable to drag my giant cans out to the street due to snow drifts and physical reasons. My neighbors and I went without trash pickup for the month of January and part of Feb 2016 and still had to pay them. I called, explained my issues politely and was told they would call me back, no response. Two days later I called again and got snickering at my request for a credit for that month on my next bill. The answer of course was no, and they were rude besides. Like many 'public no-services' in Idaho they're the only game in town and they'll give you a "Service" when and if they feel like it. read more

Republic refused to pick up my garbage going on three weeks now. I called and was told they would try to pick it up that Friday, but to leave it out just in case. I had been patient all ready for an entire week by that time. Friday came and went. It was there compounding trash all Mother's Day weekend in front of my whole neighborhood as a disgusting eye sore. Monday I called to make sure it would be picked up and was given an evasive answer and explanation that it might not get picked up because garbage could fly up and cause damage or a huge mess (the reason it was piled up to begin with is because it was never picked up). I told the customer service rep that that was not an acceptable answer to not picking up the trash I paid already to remove. I was able to get confirmation that it would be picked up on Monday (which is now today). I had my suspicions that it would be in fact picked up, so I called to make sure. The dispatch said it should be picked up within the hour. At this point it was close to closing. He finally came and just stood outside of the can and took a picture while smirking as I stood in the driveway. Then, he proceeded to drive away. I got this all on video and I have pictures as well. I called back the dispatch who told me he wasn't going to pick it up because it was overfull, which is something I was reassured he would accommodate anyway. I was told by dispatch to put the garbage piled up in the can even though it was overfull and partly on the ground before he came by. This was the excuse I was given as to why he wouldn't pick it up. I couldn't understand why he couldn't simply take half of the bags out, shut the lid, empty it and then, do the same with the other half, or have the decency to come up to my door to figure out a solution. I was transferred to the supervisor, who told me I would have to wait another day and finger pointed at me for having an overfull can! I asked what I could do if the problem was still not remedied. She said it should be. No apology and no plan of their own. I asked if half of the trash could be placed in the recycling, so both cans could be emptied, one after another. She said that she would make a note of it to treat both cans as trash cans tomorrow. I am not holding out hope of this. It seems to be a common practice to always promise the next day for a solution. read more
