I purchased a vehicle from them that they acquired due to some owed monies to them for storage and the previous owner couldn't pay the bill. I was told that an "open title " in their name was filed but had been lost. I tried to file for lost title and was told by DMV that the previous owner would have to file for it, when I called Republic towing to ask them to file, the owner Jeff Peterson said he would not file and sold me the vehicle for parts only! He is a liar and a crook!! It could take months to get a title IF I can get one.... read more

The tow truck driver i believe his name was John did an awesome job, my steering wheel was locked up with the wheels turned and he did a great job not scratching my wheels getting on the truck bed and off to the side of the curb. read more

Update: I would like to thank the driver for reaching out to me immediately, the following morning. He sent me a "compliment" which wasn't a compliment. He wrote, "This is not a compliment but your guidance was a joke get back on your bike and learn how to ride it". Screenshot attached. I would like to mention, if he had a motorcycle dolly or even properly connected the straps to my forks and not asymmetrical, not taken a half hour to strap down my bike or try to place the strap on my fender which would have caused over $500 in damage, I would not have felt the need to give him guidance. Each time my roadside assistance has dispatched republic towing, I have been thoroughly disappointed. I'll do my best to sum up the latest fiasco without going on a rant. Republic towing always takes about an hour and a half to arrive, despite giving a 45 minute ETA each time. After waiting for an hour and a half for my tow truck driver to arrive today, he asked me what's wrong with the bike. I told him the clutch cable broke. He tells me I could have still rode the bike home. Seven miles across town? NOT WITH A BROKEN CLUCH CABLE! He makes me push my bike 40 yards (120") up a hill to the tow truck and then maneuver it 90° to align it with the flat bed. He had no clue how to strap the bike to the winch to pull it up and would have damaged my fender and brake line with his configuration if I didn't stop him. When he finally put the straps in the proper place, they were different lengths and put tension on only one fork (not good). Once on the flat bed, he had no clue about how to cinch down the bike despite him telling me he has hauled hundreds of bikes (highly doubtful). All in all, it took him over 30 minutes to load and secure my bike onto the flat bed. Through most of this, I was about a half an inch away from telling him to unload my bike and call someone else. If it wasn't for my guidance and me checking the stability of the bike after being strapped down, I wouldn't have allowed him to haul my bike. At this point I was doubting his capability of even driving the truck, but I wouldn't have had a problem telling him to stop and unload it if necessary. From start to finish, over two hours. Republic towing will never touch another vehicle of mine. read more

Had a flight, they gave me an eta of an hour, my driver called me in 20 mins saying he was nearby. Great response time, quick service.

We encountered a Republic Towing truck that tailed a minivan for a quarter mile while weaving over the center line instead of just passing (they had plenty of room to do so as we were the only three in the vicinity). When we got ready to pass them, they pulled over in front of us without ever using a blinker signal. We honked to let them know they were going to hit us so they swerved back to closely following the van. Once we'd passed the van, the tow truck whipped around the van, sped past (they were well over the speed limit at this point) us waving, and then proceeded to display the same erratic and unsafe behavior while merging onto the interstate. read more

This is my second time using them. I don't have a problem with them at all. I was way out in the boondocks and couldn't really tell them for sure where I was very accurately. The guy got there, and he was nice. In fact he apologized for not getting there sooner. He pulled the vehicle onto the truck and we dropped it off at the mechanics. Then he took me to my house. No problems, and we had a good talk along the way. read more

My family was driving home from Steel Creek Campground in Arkansas when our car broke down today. This was our best tow experience we've had in part due to a 268 mile tow back to Springfield being covered by Geico's roadside assistance and also the conversations we had with Ryan. He was cordial and efficient and offered a lot of engaging conversation. Thanks for a pleasant experience in the midst of a car breaking down during a family getaway. read more

Driver argued with me over the phone about what was wrong with my car. First of all it's not his job to determine what is wrong with it, I didn't call for a mobile mechanic, I called for a jump start. Secondly, when he arrived he argued with the person who was here with my car, about my car. Most importantly, he had a swastika tattooed on his arm. This is unacceptable. Period. I contacted Geico and submitted a formal complaint and spoke with some people there about their stance on hate and was told they would not tolerate it. Now, we just wait for the contract to be pulled. Or Republic Towing fires said tow truck driver, or both. He was very very very rude to both of us, separately and independently from each other. He argued with two out of two customers. I will be following up with Geico again soon. read more

The service was adequate, if a bit late. Unfortunately, the driver had various Nazi symbols tattooed on his leg (SS symbol on his right calf, swastika on his knee) and made no effort to hide them or cover them up. read more

i had a flat tire in the middle of the night, and then my spare was flat! completely over the whole situation, i called Republic Towing just to get home. my driver got there within 20 minutes of me calling, was incredibly helpful, kind, and kept me laughing to help me forget the situation. i've never had any experience with getting a tow, and hopefully never will again, but if i do, this is the business i will be calling. i 100% recommend!! read more
