Now going on 10 hours later, I am told if my mechanic hasnt left we will try to get it done otherwise it will be tomorrow morning. Not to mention how unprofessional this man was so try to blame me for his work failing, then hung up on me. When I tried calling back, he simply picked up and said "I will call you when its done", then hung up again. Very unprofessional, tried talking down to me assuming since I was a woman i wouldnt realize hes full of shit. Tried to tell me a list of issues wrong with my car, when my only issue was HIS shotty work. Avoid this place at ALL costs.

That last point is huge for me, and a big part of why I keep coming. Any woman who has tried to go to any car servicing has surely experienced that before, and not once has anyone at Pinegar talked to me like that. They've also never tried to upsell me on services, always explained to me why they do things, and they're always nice. Also, being able to drive my car straight into the garage, hand off my keys, and walk 10 feet into the waiting room, super appreciated by me, I have a disability and not having to walk and stand in line, it's very helpful. Had advised that worrying about the cosmetic damage but had unrelated stuff on truck I was going to use money on. 1. Was the gas gauge not working properly likely due to float on fuel pump it seemed. They said they had mechanic in back that could do it. So made appt. They called day later and said done. Picked up and the gas gauge now pegged on full. I asked why they didn't make sure it was working properly before putting bed back on and advising me it wa good to go.They denied any wrong doing and that they had done what was asked and "put it in"....the emphasis that having to make sure it was working was not their responsibility. After a bit of urging they stated they (Kyle) would ask their tech the next morning. I left the truck. Next day they called and denied that it was not their problem. I stated obviously was and they needed to correct. They stated only if pay again to have the bed taken off and pay for diagnosis...they emphasized it would be a very expensive diagnosis. I immediately drove over. Asked for manager and and advised him I needed a full refund. He laughed and stated not happening. I then asked for the corporate number. He said he would not give it, I could look it up (I had already tried finding online). I stated again I either refund or give me the number. He again stated again no and I did not leave he would call the police. I said give me the phone number and no problem. He turned and went to the phone and called the police. The guy came walking back from the outside about same time with the old pump so I stepped outside and he politely advised it still smelled of gas and he could put in back of truck for me. I didn't believe I should then leave the scene so I waited outside for police to arrive. That all just was determined a civil matter I moved the truck off the property next door that gave me permission to leave until I could bring back another driver. Next day I went to fill up the truck and gas came rolling off the top of the gas tank from area of the pump. HORRIBLE!!!!!

I found parts from other vehicles in my truck, (trying not to think the worst about it) when I had to return the truck I would let them know that these parts were in there. After my 3 1/2 years of waiting I finally said "does the truck run" they said yes, just to drive it home and have the steering wheel not set right (after repairs) and dash lights (after repairs)flashing and water leaks (after repairs) I went into the office the next day to speak to Lee of course he wasn't there. If I could give Budget Radiator and Automotive 10 stars, I absolutely would!…read more We were in Springfield from St. Charles for my daughter's MCDA Honors Choir workshops and concert when our 2015 Honda Odyssey suddenly started flashing warning lights on the highway--FCW, LDW, a flashing Drive indicator, and the check engine light. We were only about 7 miles out from our hotel, but we were worried we might be looking at a transmission replacement as it seemed like the transmission went "limp" and wouldn't change gears while driving! The team at Budget Radiator and Automotive got us in quickly, took the time to thoroughly diagnose the problem, and didn't jump to conclusions or try to sell us unnecessary repairs. They found that the alternator had failed, but they didn't stop there. During the repair they discovered the serpentine belt and tensioner were also failing because the belt kept slipping off. They explained everything clearly, showed us what was happening, and made sure the repair was done correctly. After replacing the alternator, serpentine belt, and tensioner, they checked the transmission fluid at my request, (which looked great), then test drove the van for about 20 miles to make sure everything was working properly before calling us. That's the kind of attention to detail and professionalism every customer hopes for. The van now runs beautifully, all of the warning lights are gone, and we have complete confidence driving it home. When you're traveling and your vehicle breaks down hundreds of miles from home, you're putting a lot of trust in a repair shop you've never met. Workers complained about picking up carts when that's their job to bring them inside... isn't that why you get paid. Workers are extremely lazy and rude. If you don't like your job work somewhere else?? That's the reasoning behind the ban, reselling a bumper and not bringing a cart in. No warning, nothing. As a female, I feel like I tend to get ripped off. However, I had a wonderful experience with Hickman auto. They diagnosed the issue and the estimate was much less than I expected. Then, when they completed the repair, they actually ended up charging me even less as the fix was simpler than they expected. They could have changed me the higher price and I never would have thought anything about it, so I appreciate their honesty. Also had my car detailed here and it looked great. This seems to be a trustworthy and reliable company. I'll go back for any future issues that arise.
