Before the piercing, I pointed out that the marker dot seemed too low, and it was a line covering the bottom of the lobe -- not a dot. The piercer said it would be fine because they would pierce it at the top of the line, and they did not fix the mark. I wish I had not trusted them, but I did, and I allowed them to pierce my child. I will never forgive myself for not knowing better! The earring came out through the bottom of the lobe. The piercer remarked at the time that my child was very tough because she did not flinch or make a sound during the piercing. When we realized the mistake, we went back. The piercer who messed up said nothing about it. The other piercer owned the error, but offered no apology to my child. Instead, they blamed her. They said "This was unfortunately a mishap in the piercing process. Mistakes happen. She might have moved during the piercing process. After it heals, we will pierce it again at no charge." But they had even pointed out that she didn't flinch when it was pierced. Instead of apologizing to the 6 year old who experienced such pain, they blamed her for it. I understand mistakes happen. I just wanted my child to be given an apology, and for the piercer who messed up to get more training. I messaged the shop about all of this, requesting the owner to respond. They responded asking for my phone number, which I sent. That message was read. No phone call. No response. They do not seem to care about my child's pain or making sure the piercer is properly trained. Glad we found a piercer who can handle an ear lobe to do it correctly!

The male reception who answered the phone was very sweet and told me that they do and shared their hours with me. Its conveniently located in downtown Champaign and lucky me, I was able to nab one of the few parking spots right in front of the store. I went inside and "checked in" (they only accept walk in appointments for piercings, apparently) and after a 30 min wait was called back by Amber W. She was a thorough professional and very gentle. She removed my piercing with ease and helped me find a new piece to wear. Throughout the whole process she wore gloves and used a tissue to touch things when needed. I was very impressed by the hygiene protocols, and by Amber's calm and kind demeanor. If you're looking to get (or remove) a piercing, I would highly recommend Amber W but do expect a bit of a wait.

She went ahead and pierced her lip, then tried to put the jewelry in, but it didn't go in. The barbell was stuck halfway in her lip. My sister took the needle like a champ, but then Tiffany started trying to push the barbell through with her fingers. It still wouldn't go through, so she decided to take the barbell out and try pushing it through from the inside of her lip. My sister started to sweat and was visibly very uncomfortable. After Tiffany still couldn't get it in, my sister had blood all over her mouth and it was dripping down her chin. Tiffany decided to grab a taper and try to shove that through. I have 20 piercings, and watching this happen made me start to feel dizzy. My sister started to look pale and her hands started to shake. I was the one to ask if she was okay. She said she was dizzy, so I said we should lay her back. Tiffany ignored me multiple times when I said she needed to be laid back, and she was still trying to push the taper through. Finally, she decided she should stop "messing with it." Then my sister started to sweat even more and say how hot she felt. Her eyes started to roll back and she passed out. She was out for about 10 seconds while I had to hold her head and Tiffany held her shoulders so she wouldn't fall out of the chair. All of that could've been avoided if she had been laid back like I had said multiple times. After she woke back up, Tiffany decided she would just re-pierce in the same spot. I said maybe we should do the other side of her lip instead. Instead of asking my sister if that's what she wanted to do, Tiffany just said "no." Nothing about this felt professional. It was honestly traumatic for me and my sister. Then Tiffany basically insisted it could be because of her hormones or because she "ate too much," not because she had been repeatedly stabbed by a barbell and a taper. She was nice for the most part, but this was so unbelievably unprofessional. I have been coming to No Regrets for years and had never experienced anything like this. It's not like my sister doesn't have many piercings--she can handle needles. She has both sides of her nose done and a stretched septum, along with a bunch of ear piercings. Not once has she ever passed out from being pierced. She still paid in full even after all of that. My sister and I will not be returning. Tiffany needs better training or needs to be fired! This was so unbelievably disappointing to witness.

She didn't tell her when she was about to pierce her and caught her completely by surprise when she pierced it. She also pierced her cartilage with a lobe earring rather than an earring specifically for cartilage. She was also very condescending when answering our questions.
