I drive by this place all the time but yesterday, I finally decided to pop in on my home. I didn't have a lot of time to shop but was able to score a vintage wool coat almost immediately upon entering store. When I was about to check out, Trish showed me a couple of pair of vintage heels. A pair of vintage Chanel pumps and a pair of vintage Gucci pumps. The Chanel was sooo cute but a half size to big for me. I did scoop up the pair of Gucci pumps and I cannot wait to wear it. The price for everything is extremely fair. Trish is incredibly helpful and seems to be extremely passionate with what she does. I will definitely be coming back. read more

When you "find" a place such as Resale Therapy, you want to tell everyone. I had an appt at Oasis Spa next door and had time to kill so I stopped into Resale Therapy and wow, what a find. This store has it all, gently used clothing of all kinds and if you are a purse person, she has very high end purses there. Yes men, women love their purses! With these hard economic times we are all going through, this is the perfect place to go and buy yourself some clothing, accessories, purses, etc. Plus she gave me a good tip on where to get coffee in that area, who doesn't love a tip on where to get good coffee!! read more

Went to drop clothes off here, not knowing I needed to make an appt ahead of time (which is completely understandable), and the staff made me feel like I should've been aware of the policies rather than telling me how things are usually done. She also was laughing when I asked if the appts are usually done online, and stating you need an appt to even speak with the owner. I wish they could've been more courteous in correcting me instead of making it a poor experience, in the past I've enjoyed shopping here. read more

Resale Therapy is a fantastic find just a short drive from Boston. As the name implies, this is a resale shop. Specifically it is a consignment shop. The tags are labeled in such a way that when an item is new in the store, it is at a higher offer price. There are then several other dates and prices on the tags. Once you've reached the next date on the tag, the price is lowered. The selection of clothes is all in great condition (consignment, not thrift!) and the real expertise here seems to be in gowns. The entire back half of the store is dedicated to a fantastic selection of dresses, from casual to business appropriate, to cocktail, to full out formal wear. The prices aren't super cheap, but you can tell most of these dresses have only been worn once. Another highlight is the amazing selection of vintage purses and jewelry. There are GORGEOUS beaded handbags here that still contain calling cards from the original owners! The prices are surprisingly affordable for such finds (some bags just $30-40). The vintage jewelry from the 40s/ 50s/ 60s was also incredible. There is a good selection of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, and all are in perfect condition. I scored absolutely beautiful chandelier earrings from the 40s for just $30. The staff here is absolutely wonderful and knows their merchandise well. If you are looking for something particular, strike up a conversation, and the odds are you'll be able to find what you're looking for. read more

This is a cute small shop where everything is crammed together so you really need to check over every nook and cranny to make sure you don't miss anything. The staff are VERY friendly and helpful. Really though, they'll follow you around and help you track down any item you can think of. Personally, I like to look around alone but I guess most businesses would kill for their employees to provide service like this! Most items are a bit pricey, for me at least, but they did have this rack in the back of the store where items were really cheap. Even if you don't buy anything the lovely ladies here will surely put a smile on your face. read more

I'm not a huge fan of secondhand items because, quite frankly, some places are filthy. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this shop. They must be quite picky as to what they accept because everything was in fabulous condition. They have jewelry, bags, clothing, bric-à-brac, and more. The prices are excellent. The first time I visited this shop, my DIL took me. I was pleasantly surprised...it is a seemingly small shop at first glance, but adorable. LOTS of wonderful, gently used clothing, at great prices. I got an off white, cropped leather jacket from Wilson's leather ( that looked like it had never been worn) at the rock bottom price of $11.00. Are you KIDDING me? How can you beat that ? The owner Trish, is lovely. She has owned the store for 9 years, and knows her business....The next time I went, I took a friend. She too, loved the shop. The only suggestion I would have is to perhaps think about flip-flopping the merchandise. It is very "tight" on the lower level, which is where all the casual clothing and bags/purses are. The "upstairs, which has all the formal wear seems much more spacious and roomy. Perhaps a lot of the items sold are formal...but if not...I'd give the casual, every day items more "elbow room"..other than that...great. Once home, I had a question on an item, and called the shop and left a message. Trish got back to me within a few hours and resolved my concern with no hassle at all. Just came from this store. had time to kill before my spa appt next door. I was excited when i saw the big sale they were having. I saw a rack that had 2 items for $5.00 so i grabbed two dresses to try on. Then against the wall read this rack $5.00. So i saw a nice black dress and a pair of gray slacks to also try on. I looked at the shoes and saw a cute pair of shoes that i liked and fit. I was siked and they were also 50%off! So i tried on my clothes and the black dress and gray slacks fit! I go to pay and the black dress is !0$? I said to the owner this was against the wall with the $5.00 rack. She said oh, i didnt have time to put that in the correct spot. Ok, So now she said the slacks are also $10..? But those were at the $5.00 rack too? She said oh! someone put them in the wrong spot. I finally said forget it. After my appt i came back and asked her as a business owner do you think that is right? she said yes i am the only one here. Ok i asked her do you want a returning customer and a happy one she said no.She also said she has to reimburse the people that sell their clothes. In my mind she should have ate the 10.00 as it was her error not mine. So i guess she will put the two items back on the wrack and see if she can make another $5.00 on each item. That i guess is how she runs a business. Trying to make an extra 10.00 rather than have a happy returning customer. Lesson learned. I will not be going back again. People are too greedy! read more

I love consignment shopping and this is my favorite place! The inventory is upscale and contains some unusual pieces you probably won't see in other shops. The best part,however, is that the owner is attentive but not overly so,and treats customers like they're in Neiman Marcus. Very nice; great customer service.
