    After ... Perfect!

I am so happy with the transformation of my incredibly ugly bathtub. Chace was always on-time, explained the work required, prepared the area so there was no mess when he finished, had the job done in less than two days, and provided a great price. I highly recommend Rescue Bath Refinishing for your projects.

I have been wanting to do this for years. My tub dates back to 1940 and the tile is super old and gross......or it was. I never realized how labor intensive this process was. It was worth every single penny. Chace worked a solid 8 hours without a break to insure the job was done....and done right. He was so professional and hard working. He came back the next morning to make sure everything was cleaned up. I just couldn't be happier.

    6/18 Project After

My overflow drain was rusting out and crumbling really bad. I got several estimates from bath contractors who all said that we needed a new bathtub and to do that we would have to take out our newer shower tile and basically do a bath shower/remodel. I texted Chace pictures of the problem area and of the tub are and he gave me a price quote via text. I got several other quotes but his was the most competitive and he explained the process the best. There are also pictures on his Yelp page of a tub with the same problem that looked worse than ours that he was able to fix. The repair process was quick and easy, just 4-5 hours one day and less than an hour the next morning. Our tub looks brand new and we saved $4000-$5000 on a remodel using Rescue Bath. Very professional and cleaned up well. Was also very responsive via phone and text. Would use again and recommend to friends.

Our bathtub was refinished a year ago by another company but the finish wore off. I contacted 4 companies and Chace was the only one who contacted me back in a timely manner. His prices were competitive and he was very professional. Chace was early or on time for appointments and provided a warranty for the work. I will definitely use Chase again!

Ask the Community - Rescue Bath Refinishing

What type of chemicals do you use to strip and refinish/reglaze the tubs?

We favor I jasco or Klean strip are paint stripper are the best. As for paint , we use a epoxy coating for primer and follow with a Finish coat that consists of Acrylic urethane finish.

I highly recommend Dasani's Company Tub Refinishing!…read more My master bathroom tub had developed a crack, and because it has custom quartz edging, replacing it simply wasn't a practical option - it would have been far too expensive. From my first phone call, Sofia in the office was incredibly helpful. She took the time to explain what bathtub refinishing can and cannot accomplish and gave me honest, practical advice that actually reduced the cost of the repair. I really appreciated that she wasn't trying to upsell me. David Garcia performed the repair, and his 26 years of experience really showed. He was friendly, honest, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. He explained the process, did an excellent job, and left the tub looking great. It's refreshing to find a company that values honesty, expertise, and customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dasani's Company Tub Refinishing to anyone considering bathtub repair or refinishing.

We have not dropped anything on this spot to create a chip. David came back to look at it and said accidental damage was not covered in his guarantee/warranty, even though I explained my care and lack of dropping things on the surface. He said he would get a quote for the chip as well as another chip he found. Because I pressed, saying I didn't cause the damage and it should be covered, he said they would touch up the paint while they were already here and didn't charge me. I asked Sofia if I could get the name, color, and finish info of the touch up paint so I could have some on hand in case this happens again, but she said it was a licensed product unavailable to laypeople and recommended I cover it with white nail polish. So now I just have to hope and pray that nothing else happens to the tubs because I don't feel confidence that they'll cover it. They said accidental damage doesn't mean it was caused by me, but apparently it's still not covered in the warranty?? I am leaving some stars on my review because the initial work looked good, and David did work very hard. But if I was looking for a company to do a great job AND for the work to last, then I'm afraid I cannot recommend this company. Initial Review: David was so kind and thorough. He had to use a LOT of elbow grease to scrape off our old paint that a previous owner applied terribly. David updated me throughout and was up front about additional cost to add nonslip surface. The new tubs are so sparkly and shining! I got a quick response on Yelp communication, though I did not receive any reminder or instructions for how to prepare my bathroom prior to his visit.

As the lyrics in "Lightning Crashes" go, I felt forces pulling from the center of the Earth again, they pulled me right here... home... to 24 Hour Bath. Stepping out from the corn field and into my life.... First came Rhonda Bathington - the customer service extraordinaire with all the answers to life's great questions. A quick call, some photos of our forlorn tub, and like the sun bursting through the clouds, a quote appeared in my inbox. A gleam of hope. She would send her best man the very next day! Enter Dario Tubland - a man so skilled you'd wonder if he was once an apprentice to the most revered sushi chef in Tokyo (Jiro Ono). He denies, but I remain skeptical. With all his ability, he still finds time to be polite and courteous, taking a moment to great my furry friend. He explained everything very well and even brought to my attention the poorly installed overflow drain cover and showed me what it would take to fix it. I'll tell my wife that it was I who noticed this error, but she'll have her doubts... As you can tell I've never gotten over my childhood dream of being a weirdo, but in all seriousness this company was a dream to work with. Since it's in a vacation rental property, I won't be using it myself, but it will see plenty of use from guests, so I'm hopeful it will be easy enough to clean and hold up as promised. I'll be putting it to the test. Serge went above and beyond answering all of my questions and scheduled the job for the day after my initial call, which I really appreciated. He left the area spotless, with no lingering odors, and the finished shower looks beautiful. Since there are no VOC's we could stay in the house while the resurfacing was being completed. I just had to wait 'till the next day to put the shower drain cover back. Overall, it was a great experience.

I hired OBR to recoat the insides of 2 tubs. Short version is I am extatically happy with the…read moreservice, results, and the discounted cash price was excellent. Long version is that both tubs were ruined by living in this house 21 years which made them dingy, my mother in law's assisted chair set up which scratched up the bottoms, and our teenagers dying their hair which set black and blue color permanently into the scratches. One tub was acrylic and the other was metal, (determined by me testing a magnet). They both looked really bad and dingy and I was pretty concerned that the metal one was bound to start rusting out with continued use. The tubs looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years even after a deep cleaning. There was no shine. I was embarrassed to have guests use the restrooms, as there's absolutely nothing you can do to hide a bathtub. So I read a lot of reviews and got a few quotes. OBR had a good price to begin with plus they offered a 10% cash discount. I also liked the idea that they were so confident about the finish not yellowing. I have a few re coated tubs in a rental property that have held up over the past 25 years but they have yellowed over time and are ugly. I'm going to invest in having OBR redo those tubs in the near future. I only needed to do the insides. The outsides still looked shiney and new. Serge recommend that I let him remove the drain kit so the white coating did not get on that metal and that gave me the opportunity to run over and buy new drain kits (for about $25 ea) and that was the finishing touch. Both tubs now look BRAND NEW and have a very glossy, almost wet, looking finish. I am thrilled with the end result and feel I most definitely made the best choice in hiring these guys. I wasnt too concerned about the potential smell but if you are, the process is indeed odorless. Serge told me it might take around 6 hours but it actually took about 4.5 hours for him to do both tubs. I had left him home while I was out and had to come back sooner than expected since he finished early, and he was very gracious waiting for me to return. The coating only takes 1 day to cure. A+ experience all the way around.

(There are a lot of companies/contractors out there who try to take advantage of their customers. It was refreshing for me to find a couple who were truly impressive and honest.) I chose Local San Diego Painting. Chad came out last week to review the three turrets which each having 3 rows of rough-wood trim - roughly 12', 14' and 22' from the ground and one turret was over a sunken bar area, so access above was tricky. (The surrounding ceiling is all wood, which we did not want painted.) His estimate was very reasonable and the two man crew did an excellent job. They were both very professional, and nice. They started and finished this job yesterday. They even stayed an extra hour past their normal hours to finish the job. I will not hesitate to use them at this house again and any of my rentals in the future.
