Before settling for Luksus I got the chance to view other stores such as Spence, People's, Cavalier etc... What really turned me off about those locations was that they didn't seem to genuinely want to help me find the best ring and instead tried to upsell me with low quality and high priced rings. It definitely was not worth it! I came to Andrew at Luksus with very little knowledge on engagement rings and we spent some time to go over all the details and what I should look for in a diamond. He made me feel comfortable and most importantly confident with what I was ultimately looking for. He had great and insightful recommondations when searching for the right one. I had tons of questions and he did amazing job explaining all the details. After searching through his inventory for the right diamond we narrowed it down to a few. I ended up choosing the perfect diamond and continued with the process to create the details to the ring. He had tons of references but I ended up choosing my own design and showed him examples through pictures. The team then took that information and went onto creating my very own SELF CUSTOMIZED ring!. How often do you get the chance to do that?!? All in all, this entire process and experience was more than I could've asked for. You can basically try on all the display models in the store since the store has an open display concept. The rings are custom made. After you decide the design you want, you can customize it with different materials and you get to pick your own diamond. Me and my fiancé quite enjoy the whole process. It took 2-3 visits before finalize and order the ring. I didn't get to partake in the diamond picking process but my fiancé informed me that they provided some good suggestions like whether I have sensitive skin so he picked a metal that is better for people with sensitive skin aka platinum. I think the name of the woman I spoke with was Monica. As soon as she heard I had a ring from People's, all she would tell me is that I had to go there to have it repaired. I told her that I would rather pay more to have it fixed locally because People's sends it out East. I kept trying to mention my family ring (because I absolutely would NOT send that anywhere in case it got lost) but she refused to listen and just kept saying, "go back to People's!". I literally almost cried because I'm so attached to that ring and it breaking was already so stressful. Anyways, I went to Independent Goldsmith, paid twice what I would have at People's in order to keep it local, and received excellent service. I would not recommend LL Private Jewellers at all, absolute crap service.

Right off the bat I felt very at ease dealing with Felix as he was very straight forward and informative, and did not use any of those cliche sales tactics that I encountered at some of the chain diamond retailers. He was very helpful in working with me to come to a final design, and turn around time from design to the final product was very quick (within a couple weeks).
