Great work and affordable! David was able to remove 2 years of hardwater buildup from the granite around our kitchen sink. His price was very competitive and was lower than a couple other bidders. He also cleaned up our sink faucet spotless and provided plenty of tips for granite maintenance. Would definitely use his services again!

Chip on the kitchen sink counterop before repair.

David did an immaculate and very professional job fixing up our gold calcutta marble countertops. We had some small chips around our sinks that had been annoying us for some time and were very lucky to have found such skilled and affordable hands to help us repair them. The repairs were quickly done and the countertop surface is as smooth as it was the day when it was first installed. In addition to helping us fix the countertops, he gave us some great tips on how to maintain the marble surface for years to come. We would highly recommend his services to family and friends.

Well, I was very surprised at the difficulty I had even just getting a return phone call--UNTIL E.G. Custom Construction! Edgar returned our call promptly, and enthusiastically. He was not put off that I wanted to work over the phone with him from Colorado on the remodel of my elderly mother's only bathroom in her very old Stockton home. He was the only contractor I spoke to who even asked what dates I wanted, and then did his best to accommodate us. He was great at returning my calls and texts, and sending pictures and ideas for the design. He was also considerate of my design ideas, and saw my vision for the bathroom from the get-go. After his initial walk through he also showed great design understanding in appreciating the character of the home, and promised to deliver an "elegant" bathroom that would be true to the feel and nature of the home. I flew from Colorado to oversee the project for my Mom. Gabriel was our guy--he always showed up when he said he would, and was always finished by the time he said he would be. He was careful with the entire home all through the project-- protected the floors, and was as clean and orderly as he could be. I was on a tight timeline, and as it goes in constuction there where a few setbacks, but Edgar ALWAYS answered my calls, and addressed my concerns. I can be a hot-head, but he was super respectful of my concerns. He was a true professional, and kept me in the loop to the best of his ability. Well-he totally exceeded my high expectations!!! The bathroom is BEAUTIFUL!!! It is a timeless, classic design. I feel the cost was correct and fair--especially for what we got. The detail on the tile work is lovely. I picked the fixtures, but Edgar made sure they were installed to my specifications. I loved that Edgar suggested we put a marble shelf on the base of the new shower niche--a really nice touch I wish I had thought of, and will use in my own future remodel! Edgar and Gabriel were incredible to work with. Their work is detailed and very well done. They are considerate and easy to communicate with. My Mom is THRILLED with here beautiful, timeless, ELEGANT bathroom!!! It is a tremendous relief to know I can call on E.G. Custom Construction for future plans--we are looking at the kitchen now!! Before pics are 1st--you have to see the amazing results!!!

That bathroom looked similar to our old bathroom with '90's flourescent light soffits and a big bathtub unit that dominated too much of the corner. My husband and I went to EG Custom's showroom which is across Home Depot's parking lot and was impressed with the staff. We soon met the owner Edgar who was very impressive with his knowledge and had great ideas. Photos of his previous projects had a lot of contemporary wow factor to them which we liked. Long story short, Edgar's team was very good, neat, hardworking throughout our bathroom remodel. In the office, Tashi and Corina were helpful with the computer renderings of project and had very helpful design ideas that helped us a great deal. Communication is key for us and Edgar and his team were always responsive to our questions and concerns. We felt the pricing was fair for such quality work. We did have changes along the way which Edgar easily dealt with. We were so pleased with the project that we expanded the remodel work into the master bedroom and living room. The new cabinets are in perfect condition and have soft closing drawers and cabinets doors. The electrical work top notch and a lot of old issues were fixed including lining up all the outlets and light fixtures, which were previously uneven. The employees arrived on time each day, were clean, friendly, and respectful and they cleaned up at the end of each day. They were a pleasure to have over each day and trustworthy. Each day I am shocked at how great everything turned out. They make my house feel like a model home. I highly recommend Adval Construction to my family, friends, and everyone looking for great quality at a great price! Very honest and reliable.

We hired Adval construction to repaint our kitchen, bathroom, and hallway linen cabinets. Our old…read morecabinets were dark and gloomy, and we wanted a refreshed look. While we are overall happy with the final product, there were some pros and cons along the way Pros: - Hiring Adval was a pretty seamless process. We requested a quote and within a week, Camila the consultant/designer came for an inspection of our area, measurement, and go over samples for a free quote - Since my husband and I didn't want to be around paint fumes, it took us a few months to schedule the project in tandem with a trip out of town. Adval respected that and didn't push; they simply had us let Debbie know when we were ready - While we were out of town, the painters Ana and Jeff were very respectful of our place. We had cameras setup for security, and they always cleaned up after themselves, turned off our lights, and ensured our doors were locked each day they were on site. They even helped bring in our trash bins after trash day! Cons: - Adval wasn't the most affordable in comparison to other quotes we received. However, we chose them anyway because their process and communication seemed the most thorough (in the beginning) - Since we had the work done while we were out of town, scheduling with the GC Pedro for repairs and touchups was a bit of a struggle as they were already busy with other projects - It was not made clear how EASILY new paint on the cabinets could get scratched and damaged. We had pre-existing rollout drawers in our bottom cabinets and they scratched the doors so quickly. In addition, some areas (drawer/cabinet edges and corners) have already chipped. We wish Camila elucidated this information to us when we were debating painting vs refacing and that Ana/Jeff/Pedro gave us care instructions for the new paint when they initially finished the project - There were a few doors that were clearly damaged prior to painting (corners were broken off/chipped but then the door was still painted over); Pedro ended up picking up these doors and they repaired them at their warhouse - It took about 2 months from the time we returned from our trip/initial paint completion to the final completion of the project (between scheduling, Pedro taking the damaged doors back to the warehouse to have repainted/repaired, and Ana/Jeff returning for reinstallation and final touch ups; the final reinstall was rescheduled on their end 3 times which was slightly annoying) - We changed our mind after initial completion from financing to paying the remaining balance in full. However, something must not have been communicated because the Synchrony account was activated and we didn't know until they charged us a late fee due to missing the first payment. We were able to get the late fee waived and ended up just paying off the balance through Synchrony. Again, annoying. Overall, even with the roller coaster of our simple project, the entire team at Adval was always respectful. They were quick to respond to my texts/calls and showed professionalism in their work. I appreciated that they were responsive and accountable. We are just disappointed in how fragile the final product is and we weren't properly informed.

We had existing design plans, and before we started the project, we interviewed several contractors and decided on HQR because their portfolio of past work and talks with Ronnie. We also chose HQR because we felt the pricing was fair and transparent, especially for this area (Danville/Blackhawk). Ronnie made sure we stayed on budget and estimated 12 weeks for the project, and if it had not for a delay with our windows we would have finished within that time frame. Once we started, Ronnie's crew was here every day and was always very friendly, hard working and thorough. Staying on track and having someone work on the project every day is valuable and not something one should take for granted when working with a general contractor. Maybe it was because we had an outside designer, but I had totally underestimated the amount of time that I needed to spend myself overseeing the project. There were some hiccups along the way, and some specific installations that required me to hire some sub-contractors myself. I can say though that whenever there was an issue, Ronnie did make sure that things were fixed right away to our satisfaction. Ultimately, we got our dream kitchen for the expected price within the promised time frame, and I am thankful for HQR and Ronnie for that.
