We had searched online for local retailers selling the Filson brand of briefcases. Reserve Supply Co. popped up in the search - we confirmed by phone - and then found an evening to visit the shop. What a cool store! And, yes, they had a great selection of Filson and a few other companies that sell briefcases and totes. Nice people working the store. We found and purchased a bag! I'm not one to do reviews but poor customer service and retention is upsetting. This is a Great store but poor customer service. You would think the owner would better serve customers especially since they carry high end merchandise. Tried to exchange some items and was told no. Not a return, just an exchange. I understand there is a 15 day return policy but due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to do so. I asked for a store credit at least and denied also. Items were unused with tags and in original bag. A simple exchange or store credit wouldn't have hurt and gone a long way. I was willing to spend more money in there. If your looking for some BADASS American made jeans and some cool Retro Brand t-shirts this is the place you'll find them. Tellason, Crate, and Rail Car make up the bulk of their jean selection. We're talking about the tough rugged stuff, none of those mamsy-pansy designer jeans. Guess what guys, you'll need a shirt to go with those awesome jeans you just picked out. They have a great selection of Retro Brand T's, Brixton, and RVCA and if you want to dress it up a bit you can always go for the Pendleton. I was even able to find a couple of t-shirts from Carlos Hernandez, a local artist. Great stuff! And the whole experience wouldn't be complete without looking at the selection of Chuck Taylor All Star's and Red Wing boots. The collection is classic and timeless and Reserve is taking us back to basics. Jason and Heather, the owners, are always on hand and very helpful, willing to give you some great suggestions. If you get a chance to talk denim or classic motorcycles with them and you will hear the passion they have for what they are doing here on lower Washington. I was fortunate enough to score an invite to the Grand Opening. They had Lone Star and some damn good Houston Rockabilly with the Luxurious Panthers. Reserve Supply Company is sandwiched between Dark Horse Tavern and Catalina Coffee and typically they'll have one of their Classic motorcycles sitting out front. The space reflects the apparel, old building restored and classic. Reserve Supply Company is attempting to take Washington back, one block at a time. Join them, join me in that revolution! read more

I have shopped at the Reserve several times, and since they have nice things, have spent a lot of money there. I bought my son three things for his birthday. A cool sweater shirt, a Stanley growler (holds 4 beers!) and a nice pair of cool weather leather gloves. I gave all this to my son on Jan 20th for his birthday. All is well, except the gloves were a bit too small for him. Okay, I thought, lets just take them back and switch them out. Except you can't do that. They have a 15 day return policy. *** No exchanges or returns after 15 days*** Okay... I bought these on Jan 17th and today is Feb 4th, that's 19 days if you include both Jan 17 and today, Feb 4. The young lady was very nice, but "sorry sir, no exchanges, no returns. Oh, here's your gloves". Um, didn't you hear me that they didn't fit!!?? I'm going to miss the Reserve, it is a nice shop. Great shop in general. All items are high quality goods so don't come looking for cheap crap. You get what you pay for. Bought 2 great leather jackets here that I know I'll have for life based on quality and maker. Also great place for some skateboard equipment especially if you're into wider, more pool riding decks (not long boards). Not a ton of skate accessories BUT what they do carry is classic and great quality. Much better than shopping for skateboard stuff at the mall where some kid who doesn't even skate tries to sell you shit. They'll even assemble it for ya including rails and grip. Not exactly a skateshop but a skateshop all the same, Reserve Supply combines the concepts of a streetwear boutique, sneaker store, and skateshop under a single roof much as Chicago's Saint Alfred or Detroit's Revive does, but adds in a really rad interest in classic motorcycles. I'm not really into the bikes that much myself: for me, my interest is way more contemporary motorcross when it comes to bikes but that's just me: if you're into classic stuff, check them out for that certainly. Their selection of skate decks and associated hardware is good and they're a dealer in Nike SB, adidas skateboarding, Vans, and other quality sneaker brands. Not to leave out a classic, they also have a strong emphasis on Converse Chuck Taylors which I find pretty awesome. They also carry Red Wing workboots and there's an overall feeling here of American steel, machines that need ample oil and tender loving care, hand-crafted leather goods, simple yet posh details, and really the whole history of the American West in its most modern of variants. Yeah, they have high-end jeans, but it's all about quality foremost. Same with the sneakers, same with everything. I will be honest, in some ways shops like Saint Alfred speak to me a little more with their specific vibe and the exact goods they carry, however, that's Chicago and something aping the lines of a Saint Alfred of Norcal's Atlas would seem at best like an import on ill-footing in Houston: in contrast, Reserve Supply does things the Texan way while still catering to about 90% of what I would want in any store like this. That's saying something. They care a lot and come from the heart of their home. I could ask for nothing more in a shop like this. read more

This is my go-to place whenever I am looking for a "cool shirt," to wear. I don't know how to better describe the clothes than "cool." It is located right by Catalina Coffee so I usually grab a cup of coffee and duck in to see what is new. They are constantly changing the clothes so it's worthwhile to stop by on the regular. The sell everything from Railcar Denim, to Red Wings boots to beard oil. It really is a great place for cool stuff for guys. The one thing I normally buy here are shirts. They have a ton of different brands, and most recently I have purchased shirts by Carhartt, Pendelton, and Filson. They have a wide selection with a lot of different price points. The workers are always helpful, and I rarely leave empty handed. If you're looking for cool clothes you should definitely start here. read more

If you're used to paying 45 bucks for a pair of jeans and grumble about it on the way how, you will stroke out at this place. Why the difference? That $45 pair of jeans is a piece of crap. You get what? 3 months out of it? And it never really looked that good to begin with. I actually find out about this place by searching "Nike SB" on Yelp. This place popped up and I immediately gave them a call. The guy that answered was respectful and answered all my questions so I decided to pay them a visit, being tax free weekend I might as well go get me some Janoski's for the upcoming school year. This place is where A-Front used to be and it's pretty easy to spot. As soon as you step inside the place is inviting, although small, the store is laid out pretty well and they make pretty good use of their space. They have an amazing selection of Vans and a pretty decent selection of Converse, New Balance and Nike SB, especially Janoski's. The young lady that was working there was helpful and courteous, she worked with us until we found the right size but she wasn't pushy or awkward. A big plus is that these guys also have a great selection of Stance socks to go with your kicks. After picking out the shoes I decided to take a look around. All their products are easy to spot and accessible. They have an interesting selection of T-Shirts, shirts, pants and even skateboards. They have some nice Nixon watches and Ray Ban shades in the front of the store, as well as wallets and other accessories, and you're guaranteed to find something you'll like. There were a pretty good amount of shoppers there and they all looked very happy and satisfied with the selection. I was charmed by the whole place, the decor was nice, the selection was great and it's great to be able to get Nike SB without having to order it online, especially since I had to get a bigger size then I would have ordered. I'll be going back soon and I definitely recommend that you give these guys a visit, I'm sure that you'll find something you'll like. read more

Very well built and laid out store. I came from out of town on a sales trip and stopped in to chat with Jason (the owner) he was nothing but courteous the moment we spoke. Herschel, vans, redwing, rvca, Pendleton just to name a few of the brands in here. All working cohesively together. Most stores you see product That's cluttered together or may conflict with each other but reserve gives you good options to pair brands up and create your own look. Customer service is great and you can tell this isn't just a store for them it's a labor of love. Reserve is definitely here to stay with it's timeless product and aesthetics. read more

This is a good place- nice duds and accessories. The prices are higher than you may be used to for "just a pair of jeans" and that high price is a fact. However, the prices are in line for this level stuff and there is some amazing well made things in here. Reserve Supply appears to specialize in well made, mostly American made pieces that have classic /vintage appeal. They have some skateboard decks and hardware, but they aren't a skate shop. (First time here I was looking for a skate shop at this address that I found on Yelp, but RS is the new(ish) tenant.) We found Tanner Goods leather wallets and key chains in here, and they are superb. Also, the guys that worked there were nice and helpful (in these kinds of stores, that isn't always true). I think they also occasionally hold bike nights with vintage motorcycles. This is a good place. read more

The other reviews explain what's going on in side this place but I just wanted to add a small thing. The staff here were great in helping me upon my first stop at their store. Some great items in this place which led me to pick a set of shoes that they didn't have my size in. Heather graciously ordered them for me and (for a very small fee) took the time to ship them out to me. I was out of town traveling for an extended period of time which makes it rough to get the things you want. That kind of dedication means a lot and I will definitely return in the future. Along with Mortar, this is the best place in Houston for raw selvage denim bluejeans. I got a great pair on sale for less than $100, which was a steal. They also sell Tanner Goods belts, which are great. I'm not really into the hipster thing, but they do have some other cool, casual duds as well. It's simple, has a definite masculine vibe, and the jeans are high quality and mostly Made in the USA. Over the last few years I've bought several pairs of jeans, a pair of American made Redwing boots, and a couple of nice shirts that have pretty much become my entire non-summer wardrobe. If I have to go shopping, I prefer to spend my hard-earned money on American made products that will last in a local business that supports our community and doesn't smell like lavender candles, and Reserve Supply fits the bill. read more

Very cool men's store, unlike any I have found in Houston. The fit-out is great, the staff are helpful, knowledgable, and friendly, and the clothing, shoes and accessories they carry are spot on, at least for my tastes - think retro/ West-Coast rugged/ real man's-man clothing - fashionable but masculine. The prices are a little higher, compared to internet prices, but the actual in-person experience is worth it. I am an incredibly lazy shopper and generally prefer to the online option, but this place has changed my approach when looking for clothing. It's not on a busy strip so parking is always fine, and it's next to a very cool cafe. Get a coffee next door, walk into the store, chat with staff, and come away happy! read more

I came in to survey the choices of Tellason, Levis, and Railcar selvedge denim as well as Red Wing boots and Jason (the owner) was very helpful. He was patient and made very good recommendations. Unfortunately, I couldn't find quite the size I needed in jeans, but his advice was solid and he led me to his online store, which I'll be sure to keep tabs on.
