I enjoyed this place a great deal. A quick escape to Bend for a few week days. The air quality wasn't the greatest so we stayed in a bit more than usual. The temperature was set to be around 100 most days and when we discovered our Airbnb didn't have air conditioning this place was our go to. Not only was it less expensive but it had an indoor pool where I spent quite a bit of time so I didn't have to deal with the smoke. The have a workout room that is well equipped that is open 24 hours so you can workout pretty much when you want to. The pool is open 6a to 10p so there's time to swim except in the wee hours which honestly who's doing that that's not intoxicated. Haha. This residence inn had a small lounge located in it which opens at 4pm and you can get a variety of eats there. It was nice to have some offerings onsite. I know typically any type of restaurant/bar is a loss leader but it's very much appreciated by me so I always try to support it. They also have a snack section at the front desk which is dangerous for someone like me watching late night tv with soda, chips, and candy. One of the features they had here was a room where you could lock up your bike or skis I'm sure they don't want you taking them to the room and as someone who has danced around a mountain bike in a room many times I was glad to not have it in the room. All in all a nice stay and worth the $10 parking fee. Their parking is limited and I suspect the don't want nearby concert goers parking here. I'll definitely be back again.

The Residence Inn was a great hotel for us. We stayed here over Christmas. It was in a great location right outside of the Old Mill District of Bend, Oregon. The front desk crew was terrific! Beth was the one who checked us in and gave a terrific room, and she also gave us some great advice on when to go to Mt. Bachelor. Amatha worked in the morning. She was dressed in her Christmas holiday outfit and was a really cheerful person. We were given a room with a great view of the three smokestacks. Our room was exactly what we requested with 2 queen beds. The room was big and had adequate space for all our luggage and winter clothes. The bathroom was big enough for the three of us. They got rid of their Paul Mitchell products and now provide the Marriott approved North soap, shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast is provided downstairs in the lobby. They have scrambled eggs, sausage and fresh fruit. They also had a couple of waffle makers. Coffee and juices are available as well. The girl working on Christmas day did a wonderful job keeping everything stocked. When I asked her for boxes, she immediately gave it to me. A different girl worked the next two days after Christmas. This other girl must not have been given a present from Santa as she seemed to be in a bad mood. A lot of the food needed refilling. There were times that they ran out of eggs, waffle batter, and even coffee. I tried to ask her for a box for my wife's breakfast, she replied, "I will give it to you this time, but, we don't provide boxes. It got so bad that Kelly, the GM, helped out at breakfast on 2 of the three days that I was there. When I asked Kelly for a box, she gladly went to go get one for me. This is a really good hotel in a great location in proximity to the Old Mill and downtown. I enjoyed my visit here and would love to visit again.

Just passing through...stop over for one night. Nice hotel, but too pet friendly for my taste. There was a couple of dog hairs on the desk. Also, an almost empty quart of chocolate milk in the fridge. Standard breakfast items but plenty of space in the dining area compared to other Residence Inns. Nice views of Mount Bachelor and the three Sisters from the hotel propert. Three Sisters mountains in the background. South, middle and North Sisters

Very nice location - near the Old mill district. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. No way to get fresh air in the room-windows don't open. The indoor swimming pool is really tiny and the jacuzzi is way too much chlorinated. The "new" breakfast is, well, like food you probably get only on a really cheap airline. No bread, toast, or even bagels - zero. Everything is microwaved from frozen and is the same every day. Almost rotten bananas... Mcdonald's is like a gourmet restaurant compared to this.

Traveling with a pet can sometimes feel like a hassle, but here, it felt like my dog was just as welcomed and pampered as I was. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted my dog with genuine warmth, offering treats, a cozy dog bed, and even special amenities that made the stay feel thoughtful and personalized. It wasn't just "pet-tolerant"--it was truly pet-celebrating. The attention to detail made a huge difference, and it was clear they go above and beyond for guests with furry companions. Beyond that, the hotel itself is beautiful--modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the beds are luxurious, and everything feels high-end without being pretentious. If you're traveling with your dog and want a place that treats both of you like VIPs, the Oxford Hotel is hands down one of the best choices out there. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Bend again! Also, the coffee in the room was excellent!!

I accidentally left personal items in the room and am 100% certain they were left there. I contacted the hotel multiple times and they kept telling me they would follow up--but no one ever did. I never received a return call like they promised, a resolution, or any form of compensation, which was extremely disappointing for a hotel at this price point. On top of that, the staff I interacted with came across as rude and dismissive rather than helpful. A little accountability or basic courtesy would have gone a long way. For example I had to call down to the front desk 3 times in one morning just to get someone to bring toilet paper up to our room. For comparison, I had a much better overall experience at the Hampton Inn in Bend, where the service felt more professional and guest-focused. This is the hotel I usually stay at and it's always been a good experience, but this time I wanted an upscale experience since it was over New Years and I love an upscale hotel experience. I travel a lot and this was the worst experience I have had in a long time. The whole stay was very disappointing from the time we checked in, to our dining experience at their restaurant (they gave us a salad with croutons so hard they almost broke our tooth), clear up to the point we checked out. The rooms may be nice, but customer service matters more--and that's where this stay fell short.

I recently stayed here as I was driving back from Spokane to California. I'm actually sad to say…read morethat I only had one night here as I really loved the vibe of the place and would have loved to spend more time at the hotel. I knew of the McMenamins line of hotels due to a friend who had taken me to their Edgefield property when I was visiting. They had described the place as an adult Disneyland and that's a pretty good description for it. It had so many things going on above and beyond the hotel itself. So, when I saw that there was a McMenamins in Bend, OR I decided to try it out. It was a little hard to figure out where the main entrance was as I arrived in town when it was dark out. I managed to find a parking spot quickly, but I noticed as the evening went on it was packed with cars. The hotel is located on a corner toward the end of the downtown area and it's an easy, well lit walk to shops and restaurants. But, there are so many options to eat and drink at the hotel that you don't need to leave if you don't want to. The main part of the hotel where you check in has a rustic look to it. I hadn't made reservations as I was trying to see how far I could get toward home before stopping. It was a Sunday night and thankfully they had an opening. The two people at the front desk were very nice and helpful and I was able to get a room in the main building. As a solo, female traveler I felt very safe and comfortable not only in the hotel but in the town as well. I also found out that not only do they accept dogs, but they accept large dogs. And the bartender I spoke with said the town is very dog friendly. Although my dog wasn't with me on this trip I would love to return with him. My room was a decent size. It had a lot of different lighting options so it could have been very bright in there if I preferred or I could keep it more dimly lit. They make their own coffee, so they had four packets of coffee out (two with caffeine and two decaffeinated), a small coffee maker and some cream and sugars. I happened to get a room that was ADA compliant, so the bathroom was huge with a large walk/roll in shower. It was a lot of white tile and it was spotless. I was so tired and the room was so comfortable I would have been happy just staying in all evening. The grounds have several bars, a hidden speakeasy, a movie theater and a restaurant. So, if you decided to stay at the hotel then you would have plenty to keep you occupied. The patios had tons of heaters, so it was still pleasant to sit outside on a cold night. I was right next to the lobby, so I was a little worried it would be loud and it wasn't. I was also right next to where they set out a coffee station in the morning, which was convenient. The bed was comfortable and I couldn't have asked for more. I definitely plan on returning and staying longer, so I can take advantage of all the amenities they have to offer.

It was perfect because the weather was great, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the amphitheater music in the evenings. If you have family that wants to go to bed before 10 p.m., the upstairs loft bedroom is perfect as it is quite soundproof. The downstairs had a bedroom and the bathroom plus a living room area. The room was very comfortable. The hotel has 3 floors and only one elevator, so sometimes we had to wait to get to and from our room. The lobby was nice and cozy. There is a fireplace and a small convenience store where you could get complimentary house coffee and iced water. They also had a container filled with dog treats and leashes. I also saw a few bikes outside that could be rented daily. The pool and hot tub were inside for year-round enjoyment, and the gym was perfect for a light workout. All the equipment worked and it was new and clean. The restaurant was definitely a hidden gem for breakfast. The woman who cooked the food on the weekday mornings was awesome. She sang while she cooked, and her food was that good. I ate way more than I wanted because it all looked great and was very fresh. Well worth the $14.00, or $4.00 if you had a voucher. Every morning, the selection was just a little different. The parking was good and you must put the plaquar in your window because if there is an event going on at the amphitheater, they will tow cars from the lot. The location is great for walking along the Deschutes River or doing a little eating or shopping in the Old Mill District. It is also a short walk to downtown Bend for other sightseeing.

They did have a sign saying that you could go to one of their sister properties and use their Facilities, but the one with the hot tub was nowhere even near this location. You would have to drive to it. Hotel itself was clean, and they had the toothpaste I forgot to pack... but the beds truly are extremely awful. My other complaint would be just how loud the HVAC system was. Every time the AC kicked on it woke me up.

The breakfast was exceptional, and I appreciated their offer to make me some scrambled eggs since I'm allergic to dairy and could have the (delicious looking) frittatas. I was thrilled to have Metolius tea there. The hot tub is a nice amenity, though it was a bit scummy when I went in. I also was unaware that there was hot (and cold) water available in a book by the breakfast room for guests, and a mini fridge. None of the emails had mentioned anything about those, nor could I find any info in the room. So this is your heads up! First, check in was a breeze and they offer you a complimentary wine, beer, cider or soda upon arrival. I had a local Avid cider which was very tasty after a long drive. Second, the property is VERY clean. Plexiglas is up for the front desk staff, masks available at all entrances, and hand sanitizer bottles strategically placed. All guests and employees were wearing masks. A buffet breakfast is included. It is a decent free continental breakfast with one caveat: our son ate a coconut raspberry muffin that was hand-labeled "gluten free" and "vegan" which was a nice touch. However, this muffin had to contain nuts (almond flour?) because his nut allergy kicked in hard and we ended up taking him to the emergency room 5 minutes away. Obviously we are not blaming the hotel as his allergy is ultimately our responsibility, but when we asked the server if the muffin contained nuts she responded "I don't know." With so many people experiencing nut allergies these days you should know this answer especially if you are already labeling food as "gluten free", etc. why not go all of the way? Again, not going to blame them, but I do suggest that the hotel label their foods with nuts too. Other than the continental breakfast incident, we do recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
