I would NOT recommend this place. Upon arrival the television in the front wasn't working but the maintenance man Bob came and fixed it with no problem he was nice and very professional. As for the pull out couch it was filthy, stains on the cushions and the arm rest were very dirty. Once the bed was pulled out the mattress on it was absolutely disgusting, it was dirty and stained and way past due to be thrown out and replaced. You would think for the amount of money charged for these rooms they would be better kept. The carpet had dog hair everywhere so you can tell it hasn't been vacuumed or cleaned in quite sometime. The curtains were dirty and had wholes in it. The ice maker in the refrigerator barely worked and the ice cube had dog hair on them. The iron was cracked and didn't work properly. One of the lamps in the bedroom wasn't working so there was minimal lighting. Just overall a bad experience. Not to mention we were woken up by a couple in the parking lot arguing and fighting right in front of our bedroom window at 2am and woke us up. Then the police arrived. At that point we packed our belongings and just checked and left. I will NEVER book there again. The rooms need a major deep cleaning especially if someone is allergic to pets and pet hair it would be a bad experience for them as well. Marriott needs to do better. If you see this site on the Marriott Bonvoy App steer clear f this place. DO NOT BOOK WITH THE RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT. Honestly, I want my money back for the inconvenience. read more

Honestly one of the worst Residence Inn I've stayed at, and I normally love the Residence Inn brand. I'm only giving an extra star because the front desk has been very helpful and lovely, but that's as far as it goes. I was able to check in at 3AM on a Sunday night due to my flight at PHL being cancelled because of Tropical Storm Debby. Heather at the front desk was very kind and understanding, and she even comped me 2 water bottles for free! She was a very sweet woman, and I needed that after a stressful night. As for the room, upon entry the room appeared to be fine but when you look at the finer details it was pretty gross. There was still hair in the shower, possible ash on the bottom of the toilet, blood on the blankets, dirty stove top...ugh. I didn't want to bother changing rooms since I had such a long and stressful day at the airport. Continental breakfast is pretty standard and nothing to complain about there. There's also lots of shopping nearby which I didn't get to check out, but I did go to a Target that was about a 5 minute drive. Very convienent location. One thing to note was that under my WiFi settings, there's a network called "Hidden Cam 4". I'm sure it's someone messing around, but I found a Google review mentioning it about 2 weeks ago and found that to be a bit alarming since it's been a while. I did bring it up to the front desk who took note of it, but it's possibly someone staying long term and messing around. Better safe than sorry? read more

Do not book for events. I stayed here 7/23/21 for my cousin's wedding at Valleybrook Country Club. We booked a block of rooms for our family. Almost every room had an issue, despite our family planning in advance for our event. We were given a contract stating guests could check in at 3:00pm. Many rooms weren't ready at 3:00pm. The afternoon desk clerk said she was given an old contract and check in was actually at 4:00pm. By 4:00pm some people did not have rooms and we had a bus leaving for the event at 4:30pm. The delay caused a huge amount of stress as we rushed to the ceremony. Our rooms were also not in the same block/area of the hotel as promised. None of us were close to one another. 2 rooms were booked with a queen bed and a pull out couch to accommodate 4 guests. Upon check in, those rooms had 1 bed and no pull out couch. The hotel tried to make it right by giving 2 free rooms to fit additional guests. 1 of the comped rooms smelled like mildew/feet, had water damage on the ceiling, and old popcorn under the couch cushions. I also found dirt spots in the sheets. The 2nd comped room didn't have working central air, a few outlets that did not work, and a broken TV. My cousin's bridal suite was different from the original room she was shown. The new room she was given had water damage on the ceiling. This appeared up in her professional pictures while the bridal party was getting ready. One comped room had the same water stain and we were told it wasn't normally booked due to the damage. I don't understand why she paid full price for the same issue in her room. There were other guests staying here for a different wedding. My theory is that the original rooms were given away and we got what was left, although the rooms we booked didn't accommodate our number of guests. read more

I wanted to like this location because I have been working out of state for weeks at a time so a kitchen was important to me and one where I could bring my little Shihchon. The first stay was nice with a very nice front desk woman. Didn't get her name but she was pleasant and helpful. My room was clean but very noisy. This hotel is surrounded on both sides by major highway/road traffic all night. I mean allllll night. This first stay I didn't bring my pet because I wanted to check it out. So a week later I stayed with my pet and asked to have a location away from the two main signs. This room was in the middle of the hotel and a peek out of my window indicated I was near the grill/patio area. It was much quieter there from the traffic noise however folks were out there with loud music. So that sucked but didn't last long and wasn't everyday as it was colder weather. This visit there was another younger woman at the desk, not very friendly but not rude either. No greeting as an Elite member no good morning for breakfast etc. Apparently the room I was given was a "dog" room as the sofa had large frays on both arms. I didn't much care except that I didn't want to be charged for the damage. So I went to the desk to report it and the girl said oh, we know, it's ok. ‍. I returned the following week with a coworker and we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. At first glance the room appeared clean. But later during the week when we went to use the oven I couldn't believe what I saw. Pic below. This is baked on for many many months and I can't understand how this was missed and not cleaned. The microwave also had some weird stains in it. I sanitize all of my rooms upon arrival because these days you really can't trust people to do their jobs correctly or thoroughly but no way was I going to clean that oven. Prior to discovering this my coworker went down for breakfast but came back and indicated that she was told she could not bring food back to the room. When I went down I inquired as to why that was if you are a paying guest and was told that they have a mice problem. Wtf. First of all why would you ever tell a guest that,??? and secondly that makes zero sense since you can cook and eat in all of the rooms. Sure enough while taking out the trash from the kitchen I noticed a bait station plainly visible in the lower cabinet. Seems like instead of preventing guests from taking a small breakfast plate to their room, they should focus on the guests who leave their trash in the hallway overnight instead of taking it to the many trash cans in the stairwells or outside, and the fact that the trash cans were overflowing. This could help prevent mice if there's a problem as they surprisingly told me LOL. I don't want to stay somewhere where I have to be afraid I'll see a mouse! Also the parking fee for this location is just ridiculous. I mean for what? It's a wide open lot with ample spaces and open access so why are they charging for parking?? The best thing about this hotel is the remodeled fitness center, it is clean and has all of the equipment you need to get a good workout in if you want. I guess I have to go back to staying in a little box and eating out again because this last visit just turned me off completely. Oh and the hotel is very dark, hallways and rooms and looks to be in need of some updates. And trifling pet owners who don't pick up after their pets is another issue. They need to get some things together here before I return. For example last check in there was less than a half roll of toilet paper in the king bedroom and no extra rolls left. Expensive dump!! We arrived around 2:30 for an early check-in and couldn't get in until 3:00. When we walked into our room it was hot & stuffy. Tried turning on the AC via the wall thermostat but nothing kicked on. Then noticed our bedroom had a portable AC unit. Guess what? It didn't work either! Immediately called the front desk and they sent maintenance up right away. He took the bad unit and came back quickly with a working unit. He said the hotel was undergoing renovations and that's why most of the rooms had a portable AC unit. It was already so hot in the room that it took HOURS to cool down! Not to mention our son was in the living room on the pull out sofa bed where there was absolutely ZERO air flow. So we call the front desk again and requested a fan. Someone brought one up, a fan on a stand. The absolute very least they could've done was have the portable AC on full blast BEFORE we were given the room. But no, they didn't even care to check that a working unit was in the room, let alone have it turned on. Extremely inconsiderate! Then they have the nerve to charge $12 for parking when they never even asked me if we had a vehicle to park there! Almost $300 for this dump! Never again. They should give discounted rates on rooms without central air! We would've probably had a better experience at a Motel 6, and cheaper too. I reserved a room through the Marriott wabsite for a stay on January 31st, 2023. I recieved a confirmation of the stay details showing the room charge and tax for a total of $165.60 total. Later when doing my expense report, I noticed that they had added a parking charge of $12.00 that was not disclosed beforehand, or at check in. I called the hotel at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 5th expecting them to adjust my charge as it was not authorized. I was told that they now charge the $12.00 fee and that I will have to pay it as it is "Their Policy". I told her that I was a frequent Marriott customer as I am a business traveler, and that my policy is not to stay at chains that make unauthorized charges. Her response was that was fine. Obviously, this employee needs to be retrained, and have her attitude adjusted, and the hotel policy needs to be adjusted. I will also say that to have a $12.00 parking charge at a suburban location is very unusual to say the least. I would not be surprised to see a parking charge at a downtown location but parking is not at a premium where this hotel is located. As a matter of fact there was a large empty parking lot adjacent to this hotel that anyone could park in at no cost. I would recommend that potential guests avoid this Marriott location. I have never experienced an issue like this in over 40 years of business travel at a Marriott property. read more

Let's start with I'm quite disappointed with the lack of understanding and communication. I've been staying here with my family over a week let's just start there since we arrived I noticed the rooms were quite dirty in the sense it wasn't that well cleaned. I res he'd out the first time as they only do house keeping every 2 days. Housekeeping was supposed to come Thursday bu the end of the day I realized that they were most likely running behind I reached out to front desk they stated they would get someone to come out the next day lack of empathy or compassion for that initial situation. They did not come until that following Monday mind you that is now 4 days with l, no clean towels l, no necessities over flowed trash, I had to keep taking out daily myself and doing cleaning best I could myself. Also no towels no necessities never re stocked properly then when I ask the housekeeper every time to leave an extra roll of toilet paper towel and basic items she always stated she didn't have the supplies. Oh but she did leave me her windex cleaner for me to clean the counters and glass myself. Now here comes week 2 into my stay last day someone came was Monday we are in Wednesday the housekeeper once again did not come. Now me and my children and family are in the 2 bedroom suite with no clean towels no necessities and trash over flowing. I reached out once again to front desk again to let them know house keeping forgot to come again for the 3rd time. No apology no empathy I'll let them know to stop by tomorrow. No do you need any supplies nothing let me just leave a few pictures and you be the judge and mind you these room runs for almost 300 a night just on week days not talking weekend almost double rate, the lack of empathy and the dryness and disregard to customers is honestly horrible. I've stayed at more economical friendly places that treated the customers ten times better and housekeeping was done with pride and supplies were stocked every time without any hesitation or attitude from the housecleaner. She is bothered to do her job an no one is taking the situation serious at all for the Marriott this is quite embarrassing, and that's that I pre clean everything before they even come just appalls me honestly the standard that are set and the treatment me and my family receive. read more

Alright, let's be honest here. All residence inns are the same. They have the same scrambled 'eggs' for breakfast, same rotation of egg muffins, potatoes, and turkey Canadian bacon sandwiches...and always, always that cheddar cheese, sour cream and salsa out at every meal. I just wanted to make a couple notes about this one. 1) I appreciate the Marriott rewards members shout outs at the front desk the day that you check in (although it could be potentially creepy) 2) if you like turning on the bathroom vent when you go to cover up sounds...you got it made because you can't hear yourself think in there. Something up with the vents or something in a lot of the rooms. 3) The housekeepers like playing hide and seek with the garbage cans here. Check all cabinets.... 4) This is THE first hotel I have ever stayed in ...that asked for my room number when I asked for their sample sized packets of toothpaste. Maybe I like brushing my teeth 14 times a day, gosh. They only did this a couple times. All-in-all the manager was very accommodating and the staff was friendly, I've been here for....wayyyy too long. But it is one of the better Residences I have stayed at. read more

I have been at this particular Marriott and this has been the worse by far. The staff had been probably the only thing pleasant about my week stay. I'm one the bottom floor near an exit where there is an air conditioner that had leaked all weekend. Granted there was a wet floor sign places but why let it leak so bad that the carpeting near it is soaked? Which leaves me to believe that is the reason my room smells of mold. My room wall is connected to the leaking air conditioner. I've had congestion and have been sneezing since the second night staying here. I've never had allergies so I know it's not that. Hopefully I'm not getting some type of reaction from the moldy smell. My room is in serious need of new carpeting and the hotel itself is in need of an update. I went to go work out at the gym and the elliptical is clearly in need of repair and the room itself seems to have special scent also. I've stayed at several Marriotts this past two months and this has been the worse. It literally is on the same level of a motel 6. I hope Marriott takes this mold problem seriously and I'm seriously going to get a check up as soon as arriving back home. read more

I had a friend who was put up here for a job interview. My mum and I snuck in....the room/suite was HUGE with a full kitchenette etc. I can't speak to the price as I have zero idea. In any case, the continental breakfast in the morning was satisfactory. I didn't have any interactions with the staff, but the room was clean and the bed was comfy enough. I agree with the other reviewer, get a room that doesn't face the highway. I come to NJ 3-4x a year to visit grandchildren. We used to stay here but their prices have gone up quite a bit in the recent year or two. But anyway, they have decent room accommodations and a nice hot breakfast. We booked a hotel room because our power was out. The guy that took our reservation said that we could book for 3 nights since we didn't know how long it would take for the power to come back on, but he said there would be no penalty if we didn't stay all 3 nights. So we check in, and 3 hours later are notified that our power was back on. We barely touched the room. We were charged the whole amount for both the nights stay and the pet fee which is 150 bucks. I get the fee for the nights stay, but the pet fee? C'mon. We were barely there. Then I find out my credit card has been charged for all three nights and I'm told I have to wait 5-7 days to get those extra nights refunded. Oh, and the room was dated and not very clean. Not sure what they charge the pet fee for because the room smelled like someone's dog. read more

Wow - no ordinary hotel. I was blown away by the kindness and the warmth of the staff here. It feels like you are coming home to family when you walk in the door. Hubby and I travel all over the country for business, including doing customer service training for major companies. These guys deserve 5 stars for the level of customer service. This place is amazing. The small suite we stayed in was clean, beautiful, and extremely comfortable for long stays. The breakfasts are nothing like what I get at other hotel chains. MUCH more variety and quality. And we were a short drive into downtown Phila during rush hour - about 25-30 minutes door to door. I want to give a shout out to John at the front desk, a man with a smile as warm as his heart. Renee, and Angela are angels of kindness and warmth, too. Sorry I'm gushing. But this is a rare gem. I had to stay here a couple days due to my apartment building catching fire. I left my home with water damage only to get to the hotel and sit on a soaking wet bed. There was a leak coming from the ceiling. They moved my room and the new one smelled so bad of smoke, it was enough to make you gag. I went and bought febreeze. The AC is so loud that I couldn't hear the tv unless it was blasted. The only positive thing about this hotel was the customer service. The man that worked overnight was pleasant. I decided this location instead of the Fairfield next door just based on my want for a full kitchen. The place has been remodeled and is very nice. The gym is awesome and one of the best I've used at a hotel. The lobby holds mixers 3 night a week which is very nice but I did not take part. Nice grill in the courtyard. I got a nice goody bag upon checking in. Breakfast downstairs had a lot of options. My room was very big and very clean. Kitchen is awesome and so convenient for anyone staying multiple days and likes to cook their own meals. Shower has strong water pressure. Great central location to get anywhere you'd want to go. Decent food options close. A few downsides are the elevators suck. They are painfully slow and I found myself just taking the stairs everyday instead of wait on 1 of the 2 elevators. I was told they were working on it The other thing that was inconvenient was my room was kind of dark. Even with all the lights on it was on the dark side. All things considered I am very pleased with my experience and plan to stay here next time I'm in town. read more

This hotel is terrible. I just check in and my hotel room reeks of cigarette smoke. The room is also super old an dingy. There are stains all over the shower curtain and parts of the carpet are coming up around the baseboards. When I left to grab dinner i turned the air off and came back to an even worse smell of smoke. I went to the front desk to see if they could move my room only to be told they had no other rooms, which I find very hard to believe. I would take myself across the street to the Fairfield Inn but their review say the same thing. It's absolutely ridiculous that this hotel claims to be "pet friendly" yet they charge a $150 fee per pet. This is not a "deposit" as they claim but a non-refundable charge. Why would I pay $150 a night PLUS $150 fee on a "pet friendly" hotel? Candlewood Suites is amazing and charges $15 ..Red Roof in doesn't charge at all. I usually enjoy the Residence Inn experience. It is not cheap, but generally a good business Marriott experience. This place is awful. I can get by with tiny tube TVs. But the noise is inexcusable. Forget the noise from the Highway, it is drowned out by HVAC or whatever mechanical noise that really get rolling at about 5:30AM. I complained to the desk, but they looked at me like I was the first person ever to complain about the noise. Nice one bedroom suite for a low price for the Philadelphia area. A door separates the living room from the bedroom, and each room has its own TV. Wireless access is free. But beware the freeway and ventilation noise! The noise was possibly the loudest I've ever experienced in lodging. My poor wife didn't get much sleep. read more

When Residence Inn does it right, it can be a great experience. I have stayed in enough of them, all over the country, to be a fairly good judge of comparing them against each other. This particular one is very near the bottom of that list. The hotel seems past due for a makeover. Guest rooms have frayed and worn carpets, and crown molding around doorways are literally splitting apart. Housekeeping needs to be stepped up big time. The cleaning staff seems to do just enough to get by. During my stay, mirrors were never wiped down, toilets were clearly not touched some days, and little annoyances remained the entire time (e.g., unpopped popcorn kernels from a prior guest on the kitchen counter). Carpets in the room felt damp and/or sticky. The refrigerator was somewhat nasty, and looked like it had not been wiped down in more than a couple of stays. I'm not used to feeling "icky" in a Residence Inn. The cleaning staff's professionalism left a lot to be desired, too. On one occasion I walked past one of them in the hallway as she was cursing out someone in Spanish over her Bluetooth, making eye contact with me the whole time. I found the desk staff here to be mostly clueless, uncaring and slightly bothered by questions or requests. When having problems signing into their high speed internet, their own site said to ask the front desk for an access code. The desk clerk said they had no idea how to get that. No offer to call someone, or look into it further. Just left at that. When informed that my room had been skipped over by housekeeping, the best offered was a half-hearted apology, but no offer to take care of the oversight. I also found it curious that the front desk repeatedly told me that housekeeping did not work past 12:30 P.M., yet I routinely saw housekeeping staff cleaning rooms after 3:00 P.M. In any other hotel I have stayed at, the staff has always worked with me to accommodate reasonable requests for a later cleaning. Here they kept toeing some rigid line on that, even though their own practices ran totally contrary to that. The guests here are a mixed bunch. There appear to be some business people, some families, but also a fair share of somewhat sketchy patrons. On two different nights I had strangers suddenly knocking on my door after 10:00 P.M. And a guy down the hall who kept loudly talking about marijuana in the hallway. I am not used to this type of clientele in a Marriott. The only positive I can offer on this place is that it is very close to a bunch of dining and shopping options, so you definitely will not feel like you are stuck out in the middle of nowhere. But it's safe to say I will never willingly stay here again. read more

The night manager was rude upon check-in and the hotel was in disrepair. The carpet in the room was severely discolored and dirty overall. The remote control for the TV was missing the battery cover as well. We had need of the pullout coach and called to ask for additional linens but none were delivered for over 45 minutes so we called again. The linens were delivered 25 minutes later. The rate included a breakfast buffet but there was little to choose from and what we had was flavorless when we tried it on the first morning but being that it was included with the room we gave it a try on the second morning. On the second morning there was even less to choose from so we opted to go out for breakfast. When I approached the front desk associate to inquire about the breakfast buffet he was on his cell phone and had little regard for me standing there. I could go on for days but I think you get the point. I later found out that this is a "franchise property" and not owned by Marriott International. Thank Goodness!!! read more

The rooms were clean but smelled musty. The worst part was that a wedding party was permitted to party at the pool until after midnight even thought the pool closed at 11 p.m. This wedding party continued to hoot and holler through 2:30 a.m. I called at 11:30 to ask if this was a hotel or a frat house and I was assured management was getting the party under control. I was particularly upset and shared with management that I needed to sleep because I had to get up for the airport at 3:30 a.m. so needless to say no one in the 3 rooms I rented got much sleep. nekiyah williams asst manager was rude as hell she told us to leave hotel she provided very unprofessinal service while we stayed at the hotel she screamed at me by calling into my room hotel because she had problem with fire and she blamed my kids for it just because she thought they were running in the hallway they were going to one room to another and i was with them and she bragged it upon my kids and then she had a nerve to call police at my room! also thier cleaning staff never cleaned my room good worst service ever! i would not recommend this hotel unprofessinal and rude customer service. thier manager nancy offered a resolution and we told her we are moving and going to another hotel becaz of what nekiyah did we cant stay here and do not charge us for 1 day for sunday sept 6th and she still did matter havnt resolved i had to pay another hotel for same day out of pocket where i moved. she needs to reimburse my insurance company because of the level thier staff provided and blamed us with no proof we had to leave because of her! read more

Our visit for one night on 1/6/18 was quite a terrible experience. The only reason this visit is receiving as much as 2 stars is because the front desk enployee was pleasant, particularly when we first arrived. Although we had signed up through Hotwire, we knew ahead of time that this was our hotel from using clues in the description. After reading reviews, our assessment and expectation was that the following: *The management seems to follow up on complaints made online *Front desk personnel seemed to be usually pleasant *Cleaning staff not thorough *Rooms not very clean *General furniture and such needs updating and replacements We decided to get a room anyway because it was the all-suite hotel closest to where we needed to be on the 2 days in NJ. Also we weren't sure just how dirty the rooms would be and decided to take the risk. It was so much worse than we expected or could have imagined and is to-date the worst hotel stay we've experienced, especially for a 3-star hotel. To begin, the place really does need to be updated. Everything is quite run down. This I can deal with if the price is fair and everything is at least clean. Neither was the case here. The place felt like a 2-star hotel, was dirty, and smelled pretty bad. When we got to the front desk, no one was standing there and it took a couple of minutes for anyone to get there. Once the rep did get to the desk, she was pleasant, helpful and made sure we had information about the facilities, amenities, and services. One elevator was down, which surprised me because others complained about that in their review. It's strange and disappointing that it seems this hotel has ongoing issues that remian unresolved for long periods of time or a frequently a problem. The nightmare really began when we got to our room. As 1BR suites go, this is quite small. That's to be expected with some Residence Inn locations though - so no big deal. The room smelled TERRIBLE like it hadn't experienced actual cleaning beyond generql quick tidying in a year or more. The suite did not have many items it should have, which delayed our ability to do what we needed. This was quite annoying in an already tired state. We needed to call down and they had knives sent up. Also dishwashing liquid wasn't in the room, among other things that we just gave up on and never mentioned. Because I've read online that sometimes hotel workers don't clean the dishes in suites (instead just rinsing and wiping of the dirt), I always make it my duty to immediately load the diahwasher and get everything cleaned for safe use. The dishwasher smelled even more horrific than the room, like it hadn't had water in it for years. Also the drawers and cabinets where the dishes, utensils etc are stored were also quite dirty. The mats that the kitchen stuff were on were themselves dirty, with stains, smells and leftover food droppings. GROSS! That motivated me ti eash everything. I was suspicious of the dishwasher though, since it smelled so bad. After a few minutes of the washer running, I decided to open it and see what was really happening. And please note, all the regular dishwasher sounds were present. After opening it in the middle of the cycle, I realized there was NO water. Now we were just dismayed and even more tired. We called down and they sent up a maintenance guy right away. This made us cautious because, while the quick response is nice, it seemed they'd dealt with this before. The guy came in and, I kid you not, immediately went right for a button and turned on the water. What dishonesty! The floors were dirty and looked like they hadn't been swept or vacuumed since at least the last stay. Everything smelled bad and all the furniture is uncomfortable - couch, bed, everything. We're not picky, stay in hotels often for business travel, and have NEVER left a baf review. Don't stay here. We were just so tired and in a rush. We were spending our wedding night here and they told us a few hours beforehand (while we were at our wedding) that they changed us to the cherry hill location. There were other guests checking in while were were standing there still dressed in our wedding attire getting turned away. Good thing neither of us had too much to drink. Terrible communication and just an overall annoyance even if it wasn't a special occasion. read more
